My experience: I had a sony a7c and switched to 6700 for the weight/portability factor. with sigma 56 and sigma 18-50 the photos don't come out beautiful as on the a7c. From 6pm onwards the photos on the a6700 always appear with exaggerated noise. Nice videos but in August in Italy the outside temperature was 33 degrees, after 30 minutes of use outside the 6700 overheated and turned off. I resold everything and went back to sony a7c, a workhorse.
thanks, noisy A6300/6400 made me fall out of love with the crop factor. but in A7c the viewfinder is even smaller and the screen is not better in quality. This is a big negative for me: (
I swapped from the A7C to the Sony a6700 for over a month ago and it made me love bringing the camera again outside ❤ The Ai autofocusing works so incredibly well and the video 10 bit and 120fps S&Q mode is really fantastic! I love the 70-350 G lens that I got at the same time and I'm gonna get the 15mm 1.4G. It allows me to do birding and wildlife plus take landscapes and city scapes.
The only advantage of a7c being full-frame is quickly negated by the fact that its ergonomic is too poor to handle any full-frame lens over f/1.8 or 400g, whereas a6700 is a lot better to handle fast apsc lenses which are quite abundant as well.
i always use full frame lenses on APS-C bodies because the bokeh is superior and since you're only getting the center of the projection you will get the best of it. I may eventually get this camera despite the lack of buttons, and might as well just shoot with half a stop less of aperture to compensate for the lack of 1/8000.
Thanks for these videos, I recently got a good deal on a used A7C and can’t wait to use full frame for the first time. I’m sure the a6700 would have also sufficed for my hobbyist needs, but you can’t put a price on curiosity!

Anyway, I started looking at point and shoot cameras but I started questioning the overall image quality due to the fixed lens etc. Also, the price of point and shoots right now is outrageous not mention most are 3 years old or older. Sony seems to have the range finder design cornered at the moment in regards to how much tech is packed into them and release date. So after a bunch of research looking at every camera on the market including used ones I am down to Sony and the new a6700 and a used a7c of maybe even the new a7cii both of which will allow me to move into full frame. My a6700 was overheating pretty badly for me yesterday filming 4k30 in my garage.. yes it was like mid 90s in there, haha. No long takes even, but I was hitting record, filming a bit, stopping, recording, without long breaks between takes and such.
yeah that’s pretty hot for sure and no airflow in the garage. make sure internal temp is set to high and put the camera on a tripod with the screen open. Ulanzi has a little fan that I’ll be reviewing
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis yeah, garage is pretty ick for sure down here for the past few months. It's been crazy hot here in the San Antonio Texas area. I ended up directing one of my shop fans towards the camera a bit to help it last longer but didn't want to run it to fast and add any wind noise to my mic setup. I have the temp limit to high and screen out (flipped to face me in front of the camera). I'm sure most any camera will struggle with these temps. My GoPro Hero 11 dies from the heat as well and often hard locks up until I pull the battery, lol.
I still can’t decide 😂. Some buyers complain of the 6700 overheating issue. I want to have nice photos but my main purpose of the camera is for vlogging.
Considering I just got the a6700 practically new with 600 shutter clicks for $1200, I am team A6700 all in. At this price I feel I was gifted the camera. What an incredible workhorse of a camera!
@@TheYounitedINC I was lurking B&H for weeks since this one launched and a condition 10 used one popped in the middle of night so I instantly ordered it :) Probably one of the early content creator units or so. Definitely check out their Used Department often. The camera arrived this week with a 600 shutter count and in pristine condition. I absolutely love it!
I bought an a6700 last November, and quickly fell down the Fuji rabbit hole soon after. I come from Olympus and I honestly didn't know the capabilities of this camera until I watched this video. Whew! Two camera systems is a challenge, but I'm gonna ride these two rides. Thanks.
I just bought a new a6700 . First I set it to 10bit, XAVC S 5K, 60P. The videos didn't play on my computer. Then I brought down the bit rate 8. Now it plays on my computer but not on my TV. What is the solution?
I am trying to decide between the a7c and the 6700 for travel photography. I travel to Alaska often and have a 5 week trip coming up - National Park visits, wildlife opportunities, big landscapes, and I also enjoy shooting flora. I mainly shoot photos, some videos. Which camera do you recommend for my purposes and what lens or lenses? I am smaller - so something not too heavy.
If you shoot mainly photos the output of the a7c is better. You can pair it with a sony 16-25mm f2.8g and a sigma 90mm f2.8 and any higher telephoto depending on how you shoot wildlife. The amount of light it captures, sharpness and dof cant really be done in post if you choose an apsc. If you are a hybrid or shoot mainly video then the a6700 is the winner.
Re. overheating in the A6700: several companies have made blower fans that can be attached to the a6700. If they perform as advertised (without mounting them permanently to the camera body, which would wreck the ergonomics of the sony a6700, I wouldn't be surprised that this weakness goes away.
Just got my a6700 and love it so far. I got it mostly for wildlife with that 1.5x crop you can get pretty close to birds and such throw in 4k120 for video and some other a6700 features and you have a winner. I have the a7iv and love it for all other photography but for wildlife it seems I will stick with the a6700 and that amazing 200-600 lens. A great combo for wildlife. Being an a7iv owner the a7C has no appeal but for folks looking to get into Sony full frame it's a great option. Thanks for another great video. Cheers.
@@ramblr5900 I would say it depends on what type of photography you are into and how important video specs are. This is a really hard question to answer. Size, weight, price, and portability are all factors. If you are just into say photography and do landscape and portraits the a7iv is a great choice but it's also bigger, heavier, and $1000 mote than the a6700. The a6700 lenses in general will be smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the full frame lenses for the a7iv. The a6700 may be the best value hybrid camera on the market today and for wildlife I use it over the a7iv. I say watch as many videos as you can on both weight the pros and cons then just get one. You can't go wrong with either. Cheers.
@@ramblr5900 that seems like a good combo if it meets you needs. The older I get the more I realize smaller and lighter gear is better for me. That said there are times I do lug around the a7iv when doing portraits.
@@PhotoGearFun new to photography but when I look at the pic on the computer the pics with A6000 is way better than iphone 11 but video its so bad. What lense you have for bird pics? I get why people buy bird seed lol
Side issue but I know you will know the answer (would make a good video). Does Active or dynamic active stabilisation truly work better with Sony than non Sony lenses and if so by how much? I have just got the ZVE1 about 3 weeks ago and have the small (great) Sony 24mm F2.8. I today went out with my new Tamron 28-75. I think from first viewing when on Dynamic Active and you pan with the Tamron it jumps about more?
I bought an ‘opened box’ A7C in Jan 2024 with the kit lens for what I thought was a great price ($1150 USD) over the A6700. (Wanted full frame and all the low light performance, dynamic range, color reproduction that came with it at the price and the ability to use the lenses on my A7IV with it). I have enjoyed It throughly. Sony’s job is to innovate (as witnessed in the very lovely A6700), and make the new thing so compelling that customers want to spend another $1400. Still, for myself as a non professional enthusiast 10-bit 4.2.2 (wasted on me), 4K 60/120 (don’t use), AI autofocus (nice and better but not worth $1400), rolling shutter(who shakes the camera like that when shooting video???! You’re suppose to try and keep it still?), Touch screen (nice but using the dials is ok), Better Menu(its better, but not leagues better). Now, the Active shot video stabilization of the A6700, the slightly better grip, and the extra customizable button and trigger finger dial were hard to pass on, but I view the other upgrades as good things that come with getting a newer camera but they didn’t win me over, especially when asked to give up all the Full frame goodness of the A7C for a comparable, (even cheaper), price.
Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it. Have you gotten your hands on the new Ulanzi cooling fan? I would love to see how much difference that makes in the high framerate 4k thermal performance of the a6700.
I own both. I use an apsc lens for both (I have one). I have a grip for the a7c so it’s very nice to hold, and I actually prefer having smaller file sizes in photos since it’s in crop mode (10mb) while still being able to shoot 4k 24. I don’t think I use the cameras well enough yet to justify 10-bit, as I’ve been happy with the footage in 8-bit. I don’t need 4k60 and up. 1080p is enough for that. A6700 has alot more in lost view yes, but to me the A7C covers 95% of my needs, is simpler while the A6700 could do the 5% I may not always need. (I got the A7C for way less than the 67. Otherwise, I would go with the a67.)
Hey can you plz suggest me a good one from sony a6700 with sigma 23mm f1.4. Vs sony a7c samyang 35mm f1.8 in these two which one i have to buy mostly i use 1080 60fps clips i want bright and sharpness in the video so plz answer this and i dont edit the clips any kind of color grade etc directly out of the camera i will use so plz answer this
It was very helpful. I bought the a6700 camera. In different modes and with different frame rates, its temperature rises. (Of course, my memory card is not v90-uhs2). I need a long video record of about two hours. Do you think I should sell the a6700 and buy the a7c? Some users on RUclips told me that the a7c does not heat up at all. Do you have any experience with this? Thank you.
Great video, thanks Mark! I'm looking to buy my first proper camera but would prefer to stick to the APS-C lenses due to the lower price, size and weight. I was looking at the Sony A7c but would it make more sense to go for an APS-C camera, or does pairing an APS-C lens with a full frame camera still have its advantages?
I would stick with an APSC body for APSC lenses if those are the lenses you like. The only exception is the A7CR which in APSC mode still has lots of resolution because of it's high megapixels and it's a small camera as well
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you for the reply. There are so many reviews on RUclips that suggest one of the best lenses to pair with the Sony A7c is the Sigma 18-50mm APS-C lens - what's you're take on this?
A6700 just offers way more for its price. I probably use viltrox 75mm 1.2 for more light to use in darker environments combined with Tamron 17-70mm 2.8. and 16mm sigma 1.4. it just the price for full frame camera lenses makes me go away on a full frame body. For overheating i will use camera cooler fan that can help when I use it on 4k shoots.
If I have a full frame sigma 24-70mm and would put it on the a6700 will I notice significant differences not including the cropping since it’s a mirrorless camera?
Sir. Can you please make a comparison of Sony A6700 with Fujifilm XS20. Similar to Sony, Fujifilm also have good 3rd party lens support (not as good as Sony though). Can you please help me to choose which one to buy...
Hello Mark, I want to use the camera for Church photography and videography...I don't know whether to buy the a7c or the 6700...or both! (I would buy both if it is worth buying both of them). God bless you.
Hiii i’m so interested in both, they are now with the same price on amazon both used and i really want to get a full frame camera but the 6700 probably can be better, i want to do social events, Portrait and surf photos, what can you recommend me?? In social events i will help using tether so the 2 slot for sd is not really important to me 😵😵
I actually have around 2k budget and want to buy the 35mm 1.4 GM lens. My doubt is should I go with a6700 or A7C. Mostly photography needs. The goal ia to atatt buying GM lenses, so I will bot get apsc lenses.
That was a great review! I want purchase a camera for reviewing electronic gadgets and I've selected Sony A7C & A6700. Can you suggest me which one will be good for me? That's would be very helpful!
Team a6700 here. I also have the Sony HXR-NX80. Will it replace it? Diffidently not. I find the ergonomics and that fine zoom lens with variable zoom speeds a plus, along with the phase detection auto focus. The a6700 also uses the same autofocus system but with more autofocus points. Where the a6700 does fit is in he area of photography and specialty videos, like macro, low light, slow motion (NX80 only goes up to 1080p), and stabilized video on the Scorp Mini (running, side motion movements, smooth pan/tilts using the wheel/joystick). The small form factor is also a plus as it means I'm more likely to carry it around on a daily basis.
This is very good comparison who wants to watching some condition review ! I also have the SONY a6700 and I am really glad I bought this camera last month. Of course, the A7C is still good who is taking photos and videos during traveling. I can only say this, both of them are very good. Actually, my friend also have A7C and he likes that camera. Thanks for sharing! Great video !
I compared the a6700 120 vs the a7cII 120 (same sensor and processor as the a7iv). The 4k 120 is noticeably netter - but you do need good light or it will be noisy.
If I use an apsc lens on a full frame sensor will I still have the same light gathering capability or will it take away the benefits of the full frame in low light? Using it to video hunts where most of the shots will be around the edge of darkness
I'm still so undecided 🤔 I have a nex 7 with quite a few Minolta lenses. It's really the oss I'm after as I am not a professional photographer......help
Hi Mark, always love your videos. New sub here. Got a question, I plan to upgrade my camera from a A6400, my choices are the A6700 and i found a used A7C, so they're at the same price point at the moment. I do photography with some client work sometimes, plus some video work like short social media promo videos for restaurants, and the occasional podcast shoots (each shoot maybe lasts 20 to 30 mins). Plus, I want to dive into doing some short films, and of course youtube content. My lenses at the moment are Sigma 16mm f1.4 and a Sony Zeiss 50mm 1.4. What do you think would be the best upgrade from the A6400?
The best choice would be the a6700 because of the lenses and the video capabilities. It's like the a6400 on steroids. The A7C is great and you can use aps-c crop for video. You can definitely make it work and it gives you a full frame low light beast. The A7C is especially good if you don't plan to color grade you use log profiles. But the a6700 has10-bit footage, low profiles, 4k120 - it's a camera you can really grow with.
I’m just looking for a camera that can take great photos, would you say that the a6400 is would be a great buy or should I get the 6700, I’m not so much into film/ video 😁. Thanks for your help
Fair, balanced and well presented comparison, Mark. Neat “back alley” side by side comparisons. Does the A6700 have the same over-heating issues when wirelessly connected to an external monitor (e.g., Smartphone Creator App)? Hope your sore throat gets better real soon.😊
So I’ve been wondering around several videos and I’m so thankful I landed in yours. According to my needs I’m considering going into the a6700 team! Still I’m figuring out a power (external battery) solution besides the original Sony’s battery, because I’ll be traveling for a while and shooting and making the most out of my travel. Any recommendations of v mount batteries or power banks that may be suitable for this camera? Thanks by the way
Buy a small rig cage for the a6700 and get a phone holder/grip and small rig bolt to attach the holder to the small rig cage. Simply clamp your power bank in the phone holder, plug in the usb c lead and you have external battery. I have a 10,000mah power bank attached to mine and have it seated down the side or underneath on the bottom if I don’t have a gorilla pod attached. You can also mount a mic on the small rig and loads of accessories. Just google small rig cages and accessories and see what you think. If you need any advice please comment back and hope it’s a helpful reply for you. I had a Sony a7c and sold that and bought a Sony a6700. I’m so glad I did. If you plan on doing ANY video recording it’s a no brainer. The photos are great on the a6700 as well. The lenses are much better value and if you worry about low light with either camera then buy a neo roto light or similar and mount that on the small rig. Solves any problem.
Hi great review. I think i was looking for this review since a 6700 was launched. I hag a question. Please if you could clarify. I will be buying one of these bodies for wildlife photography. What do u think about cropping images in full frame vs apsc? In which the quality reduces more and in which i will get more clean image?
In the Philippines A7C and A6700 has roughly the same price. I coming from ZV e10 and planning to buy another one for 90% video and 10% photo. My room is hot and usually runs 28-32c with lights on so im leaning to A7C as i am seeing A LOT overheating copies of A6700. I do have APSC lenses so im really torn which one to get for my tech channel. What do you suggest sir? Thanks!
Thank you sir, i am leaning 60% on A7C because of its low light capabilities as my room is small and i dont want too much light because of the weather here.
Heya Mark! A year of watching your video's and buying all kinds of handy equipment for my start-up thanks to your great tips! It's time for me to start invest a bit more, and am going from a ZV-E10 to an FX30. I've got a Sigma 16mm f1.4 and a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8, and I'm looking for a next lens that'd work well with this system. Would the Tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8 be a worthwhile investment to expend my vocal range, or do you have other tips? If I were to get a Tamron 70-180mm or Sony 70-200mm I'd lose the entire range of 50-105mm in crop-sensor terms. Do you have some recommendations perhaps :)?

Mark, you're the best bang for buck camera youtuber. I have a suggestion: for the alley comparisons, when comparing apsc with FF, you can also show the FF camera on 1.5 times the aperture (~f2.0 in this case). Then it should produce identical depth of field. I feel like if I do an upgrade, it's definitely FF, but then I realise that I need to buy glass accordingly, and apsc stuff just sits in such a nice position in terms of value AND portability. Love your stuff, if you didn't get that already. A health drink to you. cheers
thank you very much a very small viewfinder (in my A6300/6400 it is larger) and still the same bad screen are the only reasons why I did not buy A7C After DSLR cameras, I find it hard to look at such a poor-quality viewfinder, and my dormouse screens are even worse
Thanks man! The glass on the a6700 seems a bit inferior to the glass on the a7c but that's like saying Katie Perry is hotter than Taylor Swift. I wouldn't kick either out of my bag. Nice work.
In the case of comparing the a6700 and the (older) A7C, you get bokeh-ier bokeh with the A7C but you get better dynamic range with the a6700 since it shoots 10-bit 422 SLog3. In most cases, full frame gives you better dynamic range than APS-C. But, in the case of the a6700, it slaps the A7C silly with its backside illuminated dual base ISO sensor from the FX30. Why Sony leaves out that the sensor is dual base ISO is weird considering that it's a great feature to have in a new $1,400 camera. Very handsome comparison video, as usual. Many thanks.
Why is it soooo freakin' hard to take good selfies with the sony a7c?? Is there any remote control for this camera? Every time I put my camera on a tripod, turn off steady shot, put it on 5 second timer, it locks on to the spot that it's focused on (near) then I back away to the spot to take the shot and it's BLURRY!!!! WTF can I do???
Good Full frame cam's Lenses is $$$. And Always bigger and heavier in size. My FF Nikon with two hippo lenses covered with dust on shelve Depend. For moneymakers FF is Must I guess. Just opinion. Thank you.
since you want to do cinematic short film - you'll probably want to shot in log and colour grade eventually - so the a6700 is the way to go. If you don't plan to colour grade - the A7C would work and it's a full frame so it has some advantages there
Mark, good afternoon! What you do is very useful and interesting! I have a question about the A7C. I want to repeat the test, what profile number in the camera should I use to make it Cine2? LUT from where to download?
you can record with eye detect while outputting to hdmi at 24p but not 30. if streaming through the usbc I think you can still record eye detect to the sd card, but I don’t have one here anymore so I’m not 100% sure.
For travel photography I would go with Sony A7C. The reason is the absolutely perfect universal travel lens Sony 20-70. That's exactly the range that I need. AFAIK, there is no such lens for A6x00 line.
What dummy battery do you use for your ZV-E1? i got the a6700 and know they're the same battery type, but the current dummy battery i found and use still loses charge while active :/
they all do that for some reason. It must be some kind of countdown within the camera. because if you turn off the camera and turn it back on - it will say 100%. I use the Neewer ones
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis that is strange, maybe i'll try to see if i can get it to run down to 0 and see what happens, seems like it wont ever be a practical issue considering i've had it running for about 8 hours now and its still at 66%. thanks
I recorded the ZV-E1 in the Ivory Coast for weeks with no issue. You'll be fine at standard frame rates. Higher framerates the a6700 will overheat after a while but not people don't record long in higher frame rates
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis that helps. I just want to make sure that my investment will be future proof and I will buy more lenses eventually. I will use it outdoor a lot mostly wildlife and documentaries. my conern is practical usability . Its should be just good specs on the paper.
if you're doing photos only, the a6600 will be very close to the a6700. But if you're doing video too - it would be a much better idea to pay a little more and get the a6700
Not sure fully but the low light superiority may is the crucial point I need. Plan to shoot BMX Race fotos and videos and in Europe light is a gift especially in winter. Will not edit much I assume as a beginner but will require a good zoom. Needing to track a person in the crowd during the race seems to be the 6700 job? Quick sport fotos maybe too. But at home and in winter just making family pictures sounds like 6700😂. I surrender
Got it now I need to find out how proper vids are made. Distance adjusts 4 times during a BMX race run😳 seems like the G 70 to 350 will work for the distances from 60 to 10m near

The only advantage of a7c being full-frame is quickly negated by the fact that its ergonomic is too poor to handle any full-frame lens over f/1.8 or 400g, whereas a6700 is a lot better to handle fast apsc lenses which are quite abundant as well.
I do find the ergonomics better in the a6700
i always use full frame lenses on APS-C bodies because the bokeh is superior and since you're only getting the center of the projection you will get the best of it. I may eventually get this camera despite the lack of buttons, and might as well just shoot with half a stop less of aperture to compensate for the lack of 1/8000.

Can you please share photo comparison as well apart from the video
I still can’t decide 😂. Some buyers complain of the 6700 overheating issue. I want to have nice photos but my main purpose of the camera is for vlogging.
For Vlogging the a6700 is the best, you won’t have overheating while Vlogging
Hey Mark! muchas gracias por todo, estaba por comprar el a7c pero creo que me quedo con la Sony a6700, nuevo suscriptor!
Considering I just got the a6700 practically new with 600 shutter clicks for $1200, I am team A6700 all in. At this price I feel I was gifted the camera. What an incredible workhorse of a camera!
great deal!!
Where did you buy it from? Cant seem to find it
@@TheYounitedINC I was lurking B&H for weeks since this one launched and a condition 10 used one popped in the middle of night so I instantly ordered it :) Probably one of the early content creator units or so. Definitely check out their Used Department often. The camera arrived this week with a 600 shutter count and in pristine condition. I absolutely love it!
Are there any differences between the two with shooting vertical video? That’s my primary video preference due to short form content.
Been happy with my 6600, decided to step up to the 6700.
I bought an a6700 last November, and quickly fell down the Fuji rabbit hole soon after. I come from Olympus and I honestly didn't know the capabilities of this camera until I watched this video. Whew! Two camera systems is a challenge, but I'm gonna ride these two rides. Thanks.
I just picked up a new Fuji too!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Awesome!
I just bought a new a6700 . First I set it to 10bit, XAVC S 5K, 60P. The videos didn't play on my computer. Then I brought down the bit rate 8. Now it plays on my computer but not on my TV. What is the solution?
Absolutely love my 6700. Rolls with me almost everywhere I go.I call him Howie.
this is Howie Dewitt.

Amazing.. nothing biased... I will definitely go for 6700 for all purpose
Exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you very much for making this video!!!
You’re welcome!!
Re. overheating in the A6700: several companies have made blower fans that can be attached to the a6700. If they perform as advertised (without mounting them permanently to the camera body, which would wreck the ergonomics of the sony a6700, I wouldn't be surprised that this weakness goes away.
yes - ulanzi has a good one- it falls off after about an hour - so I use an elastic - works great
A really great review, probably going to go with the a6700 for our travel vlogging
It's an amazing camera
Just got my a6700 and love it so far. I got it mostly for wildlife with that 1.5x crop you can get pretty close to birds and such throw in 4k120 for video and some other a6700 features and you have a winner. I have the a7iv and love it for all other photography but for wildlife it seems I will stick with the a6700 and that amazing 200-600 lens. A great combo for wildlife. Being an a7iv owner the a7C has no appeal but for folks looking to get into Sony full frame it's a great option. Thanks for another great video. Cheers.
Hi looking for new camera sony IV or a6700? If you had to choose one
Cheers.
@@PhotoGearFun hi i was thinking buying a6700 with kit 18-135 plus FE 70-300 G instead of a7 4 with kit 28-70 lens … opinions?
It does work better with Sony lenses, yes. but if you manually type in the focal length of the 3rd party lenses in the camera it becomes much closer
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I had no idea you could do that cheers, even with a zoom?
In the second chapter, the 15mm lens seems sharper than 24mm, or is it the A6700 producing a sharper 4K image than the A7C 4K image?
Yes absolutely because a6700 4k is oversamples 6k image that way sharper
Thank you sir, iam satisfied with your compare review
Hi...please,Make a video comparison of zv e10 vs a6700 or 6600 vs iPhone 15 pro
15 pro 😂
15 pro actually does better than the ZV-E10 in my opinion
Thank you.

the A7C will likely never overheat on you. but you can also try the fan from ulanzi on the a6700
Great video, thanks Mark!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis or would it be better to perhaps pair the Sigma lens with an A6600 instead of an A7C?
I would pick up the a6700 if it’s in the budget. or the a6600 if it’s mainly photos can work too
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I’m mainly looking to shoot video for my channel. Is the A6600 not good for that?
A6700 just offers way more for its price. I probably use viltrox 75mm 1.2 for more light to use in darker environments combined with Tamron 17-70mm 2.8. and 16mm sigma 1.4. it just the price for full frame camera lenses makes me go away on a full frame body. For overheating i will use camera cooler fan that can help when I use it on 4k shoots.
This is pretty much a perfect setup!!
How about the fx30 vs the a6700
Would it be possible to compare Sony A7C ii to Lumix S5 ii?
I will look into it.
If size and best video AF are not the top priorities, S5ii all the way.

Hey Mark, If you can, try out the Sony 20mm 1.8 FF on the A6700. I love the results of this pairing. Let us know what you think.

Have you compared 4K 120 in A6700 with 1080 120 fps in A7IV? Is the 4K so much better?

The a6400 can take amazing photos. Go with that one if your don’t need the video
Fair, balanced and well presented comparison, Mark. Neat “back alley” side by side comparisons. Does the A6700 have the same over-heating issues when wirelessly connected to an external monitor (e.g., Smartphone Creator App)?
Hope your sore throat gets better real soon.😊
yes - when using the a6700 wirelessly it will heat up more.
Hey!@@pingu267 Thank you for your advice, much appreciated!

A health drink to you. cheers
My last camera was a Nikon D3100.So any new camera is a good upgrade at this point.
thank you very much
a very small viewfinder (in my A6300/6400 it is larger) and still the same bad screen are the only reasons why I did not buy A7C
After DSLR cameras, I find it hard to look at such a poor-quality viewfinder, and my dormouse screens are even worse

Thanks man! The glass on the a6700 seems a bit inferior to the glass on the a7c but that's like saying Katie Perry is hotter than Taylor Swift. I wouldn't kick either out of my bag. Nice work.
I'd go the Tay Tay though. But good glass is objectively better no?
the Sony 15 is optically as good if not better than the 24mm GM. sometimes apsc lenses can be amazing. Like Britney Spears.

And without video features?
Why is it soooo freakin' hard to take good selfies with the sony a7c?? Is there any remote control for this camera? since you want to do cinematic short film - you'll probably want to shot in log and colour grade eventually - so the a6700 is the way to go. If you don't plan to colour grade - the A7C would work and it's a full frame so it has some advantages there

For travel photography I would go with Sony A7C. The reason is the absolutely perfect universal travel lens Sony 20-70. That's exactly the range that I need. AFAIK, there is no such lens for A6x00 line.
Sony has a really nice 16-55 that’s pretty great for APSC - would give you a 24-77 full frame field of view
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yes, but I would love that 20 mm for many scenes... This is what makes the lens unique.
