dave aaron The amazing thing is the show hasn’t aged! It still fresh, and even though everyone today has grown up with it, we all still watch and enjoy it every time.
I'm currently watching I Love Lucy! I'm at the California trip right now and just saw the episode where they stayed in the cabin and every time the train came the bed moved all over the room! Last night I watched the one where the sheriff wanted them to take his two heavy set daughters, Teensy and Weensy to Hollywood to make it in films! Funny!
Lucille Ball is one of my most favorite actresses. This show has brought me so much happiness. I am 67 years now and i never get tired of watching the dvds over and over...instead of bad news on tv and Corona Virus junk. This way i am happy. I also love Gomer Pyle and Leave it to Beaver and Carol Burnett. I am so thankful to Our Lord to help me escape anything negetive and I read the Bible and attend churc to be happy B i b l e. Is. Beautiful instructions before leaving earth.
I worked at the studio where I Love Lucy (seasons 3-6) were shot. Back then it was called Desilu Cahuenga. When I was there it was called Ren Mar. This humble little studio can be seen in the films, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and The Artist. The amount of classic and important television that came out of this studio is very impressive. I'll let you look up all the details if you are so inclined. But the one thing I just can't imagine are all of these giants of TV working at this tiny forgettable studio. The buildings are small. The offices and dressing rooms are not quite the size you'd expect TV legends to occupy. If there were over sized egos present, they were not represented by the architecture.
So happy to have been a child of the 50’s. Lucy was my favorite show. Only 3 channels back then. Now I have 300 channels but rarely watch tv. All trashy shows today.
I love "this" as with I Love Lucy! The music is perfect and the photos are a very special occasion! A perfectly put together little film short that wins me over!
I used to wonder about the episode were they had to share a motel room they rented from a crooked old man .it was a good illusion. It was called First Stop. It was one of my favorite episodes as a small boy.
Madelyn Pugh “Girl Writer” written on her chair. Can you imagine if that was done today? democrats would try and destroy Desilu Studios and put them out of business.
That's okay, right? Many people, including people Lucy's age, would have still listened to this kind of music. Rock-n-roll music from the 50s wouldn't fit.
What wonderful pictures! And wonderful actor's. I really enjoyed looking at them. Never nothing like this anymore. I Love Lucy show will always be a part of my Life.
Most pics I see of Dezi on set and many with Lucy too, they have cigarettes in there hands. No wonder why Dezi died of lung cancer and Lucy died from Heart issues young.
Behind the scenes clips are quite interesting, but they often burst my "bubble". I like to think of scenes as being authentic. So when I see clips like these they get stuck in my mind and the episodes lose some of their flavor.
This is wonderful and we sure grew up loving Lucy.....
To this day I still watch this show! Always will.

Amazing to see these, and all but one I had never seen before. They're so beautifully vintage, too.

Too bad Desi wasn't more like Ricky (in real life) !!
The music sounds like it's from the 1920s...
