Thanks I cant unhear it now XD

I hear James prepares for a gig by playing with his SWITCH-AAAAAAAAAA
observations:
- Lars has fun when he gets to hit drums like in a music video (where water is artificially added for effect)
- Kirk has fun when he gets to improvise a solo into a song where one never existed.
- James has fun when he gets to just spit out lyrics in whatever order he feels like because he can never remember them
- Rob just has fun
manguy2000 as i know James never forgets the lyrics
He never forgets de lyrics if you notice rob was singingThe other lines
alex tamayo remember when he forgot the fade to black lyrics lol
Cole Schadel maybe it happened once but James is always on point. Lyrics and guitar playing.
Djal I agree that he’s almost always on point, but he started the one intro playing fade to black lol, or it was the other way around. Besides that he is a god lol
Imagine if these drums were on the album. God damn.
It’s a loss opportunity
If only Lars new how to play drums lol
@@Jsrscrap09 If only you knew how to spell knew
@@Jsrscrap09 Silence or go on and do it better than him
@@metalvitezek7545 it’s been well established that Lars is not a good drummer. I’m not a drummer, but I know a good drummer when I hear one. Metallica should’ve fired him, but have him involved as a manager.
0:49 is literally the best start to a Metallica live song I've ever heard in my life.
That's how you start a mosh pit
The best Is Whiplash in Seattle '89
Fucking A!
@@ivarulf-skilningur3499nah this one is best it’s so good
I 100% agree with you, everyone likes to go for their big shows as an example of them being an amazing band when this exists and it makes no sense imo
Imagine being so good, that you make your worst album sound amazing
imo st. anger AND death magnetic could've easily been amazing, or deccent metallica albums if they had a better mix(and some solos on st. anger). on both albums, most of the sound is okay, but the drums are garbage
Imagine being so good that the album deemed as your worse one is still better than many bands' best albums.
I find Load their worst album , ReLoad was fine i guess
@Konstantin Grujevski No way, Load was great! St Anger is by far their weakest album, and it's still a great album.
@@comicsans1689 St.Anger was great but it had a bad mix

English rain is the best special effect.
Typical Manchester
@@emokiller907 I hear and read alot of people from the UK complaining about rain, is it that bad ?
Morris Falker yeah but especially in Manchester all over the country we say it rains more there.
@@emokiller907 what did Manchester do to deserve that.. it's so unfair hehe
Didn't Gaiman or Adams suggest there was a bloke that lived in Manchester that had no idea he was the Norse god of Rain :)
It’s SO HEAVY with a proper snare, sounds fucking amazing 🤯
it fucking sounds like shit, wtf are u talking about?
Downgrade in my opinion in therms of heavyness
less heavy but sounds a bit nicer
But the improvised solo from Kirk was a nice addition to the song imho
He plays a d beat instead of the double kick he does on the album. Still prefer the original😊
St. Anger was made when there was so much tension and frustration in the band, almost to the point of them breaking up. So to see them play songs from it 16 years later while having so much fun and making it sound awesome is proof that these guys are absolute ballers.
Absolutely 🙌🏻

St Anger is thrash
I feel like when James yelled "GOOOOOO!!!" at 0:50 he just instantly commanded us to like it and we didn't even notice because we were too busy marveling at that awesome scream and headbanging.
He doesn't do that very often. This is the closest we will ever get to a metallica/slayer crossover, and I love it.
I don't care what people say... St Anger is an amazing song alongside Frantic, Dirty Window, All Within My Hands and The Unnamed Feeling
Claro que si
and i don’t know what peoples problem is with the drums. it’s a really unique sound and personally love it.
Frantic absolutely trashes, its so great

I was at this show. It absolutely pissed down for about an hour, not much fun to stand in but it did make some of the lighting effects look cooler
Such a turn on.
probably the best live version so far, 0:48 is BRUTAL
yes brother is BRUTAL this song maen
fk yeah
this version of st anger is so epic, the raining just enhances the video
This album needs to be re recorded
James' voice sounds weak on chorus
Sorry for the late reply but this is true. The album sounded horrendous when I heard it. The drums, particularly the snare, were just horrific. Then when you hear songs from it live they sound great. I wasn't at this concert but I was at slane castle a few days before and they played frantic and it sounded amazing.
It doesn’t, it’s fine how it is
Possible maybe St Anger v2 might come out after papa het gets released from rehab again
It's fine like it is.
This live version ain't that hot , non existent double kick drumming and shoddy vocals.
4:46 Lars spots something shinny

Well it was my intro to metallica as I was 13 when it came out and I thought it was great. I still think it is good maybe not their best but still pretty good

That's fucking Metallica dude, the real deal.
By far one of Metallica’s greatest songs. The drums sound phenomenal
How can you say the drums sounds phenomenal, when it’s played without double bass, unlike the real version ??
Their live sound is IMPECCABLE! On one of their "wOrSt AlBuMs" and still kicks ass harder than pretty much every other band from their time/age. long live Metallica
I didn’t get that at all. Drums are off tempo constantly and James struggles to sing throughout.
ST. Anger is terrible but on production terms. A lot of songs are pretty good.

Unpopular opinion here, I’ve always loved this album, trash can snare and all. So much character in this album. It’s the complete antithesis of ...And Justice (in a good way). AJFA is some words with a whole lot of instrumentation, St. Anger is some instrumentation with a whole lot of words. The perfect music when you’re doing something and just need metal noise, weather studying, at the gym, or any other random task. \m/
I've always liked st anger too man
I always liked this album. I think the sound really suits the nu metal vibe Metallica was going for at the time which was popular.

Is it me or is this tour the best this band has sounded in years??
Drmcx agreed , I saw them in London 2017 for the indoor tour, sounded killer but I saw them in 2019 at London and they sounded even better, lars was doing double bass all night, and performed LOS PROPERLY with double bass all the way though, it was amazing

Agree I saw them in Tulsa ok this past year and it was amazing
This is It. St. Anger with proper instrument sounds is a masterpiece. It was killed by its mix process
Remastered Version, and Kirk have to add some solos. 👌✌️
You can't polish a turd. The original tracked sounds, before the mixing process is what fucked this album.
David Optional yes, literally every metal head is a pop music listening sheep...
ruclips.net/video/lU-UI3_6HcM/видео.html
it wasn't a 'mix' problem, it was the recording itself.
Dude if they literally just re-recorded the album with today’s mix along with giving a few of them solos, this could’ve been a very solid album and I don’t think anyone can disagree with me
It'd be better but so much of it is repetitive. They'd need to cut every song down by two minutes as well.
I disagree.
Nah, its edgy, retarded lyrics are still there
It would be repetitive considering it's still St.Anger but yeah it'd definitely be a million times better, even if a million times was just mid

BONG BONG BONG BONG BONG

I think it is the most personal record you guys put out there, ever.
no other one brings me as a fan closer to the four of you as a band (and yeeees, also rob even if he didn' write the bass lines etc etc)
the raw and pure outpour of this record is unparalleled

Honestly its the only reason. This isn't the original trash heap version. Still bad, but not as bad with a proper snare. I'll never understand how they let that album release as is.
Anyone else clicked on this to see if there was a guitar solo?
That is far from bad.

This live version is so freaking awesome
Came a long way from ride the lightning. A long way down. After the first two albums it's just what ifs what if they kept the bass on justice? What if they didn't sell out in the 90s? What if they didn't use that snare on st anger?
Lars is such a showman in every performance of theirs. Nobody actually praises that. They always mock him and forget that point!!
If you are a drummer your priority should be to play well... if you play good you can be wherever you want. Lars is just a fun guy but technically very limited
@@felipegomez7302 truth spoken
@@felipegomez7302 And a good songwriter when it comes to arranging drums for a track. I saw a video here on youtube of Joy Jordison and Dave Lombardo filling in for Lars some years ago. Becaus he had to go to the hospital or something. And sounded pretty crappy compare to the original. They played on tempo and everything like that. But it was much more generic and was really lacking the feel. It was Sandman (Joy Jordison) the worst version I have heard of it and Battery (Dave Lombardo) at least beter then Jordison. - So you see. Lars is needed for the drums in Metallica. Especially on the first 4 albums. So much more then just a fun guy.

I can’t be the only one that actually liked the St Anger snare sound, surely?
It not that it’s a bad snare sound, but it’s the fact that it’s so stand out in the song.
I was having a conversation with my friend tonight that I love the st anger sound, including the snare. That was one of the things that stood out and made it so different and unique. It sounded like he un-snared the snare, which is metaphorically awesome, considering that the whole album was their angriest and thrashiest album, and they un-snared all of their aggression on it. I disagree with everyone who says the album sounds like shit. Its still my favorite album to blast as loud as possible
