Lars gets a bad rap from a lot of drummers. This song, admittedly one of the ‘less loved’ of the Metallica catalog, is a powerhouse piece! You played the heck out of it! Great job!
Last time I heard this song was when it came out. I remember driving around with my dad in his car jamming to this. He bought the album and would blast it. That and System of a down all the time. He passed away recently and its fucking tough man. Brings back great memories and im grateful to have been able to share time with him and for hitting the lottery having him as a dad. R.I.P Pops

What could have been.. the thunder of that double bass takes this song to an entirely new level, and if it was as audible as it is here, I feel like this song would have aged much better.
I personally liked the snare on that album, it kind of felt “downtuned” without the snares active, and the ringing just added to the raw vibe of the album.
