From his work in sepultura on the Quadra album especially to his Brazilian rudimentary sessions which are some of the most insane drumming you will ever ever see to his work so far in slipknot, he is without doubt the greatest drummer of all time. What is the most enjoyable from this is that he looks like he's actually enjoying playing the drums, there are many drummers who just look like machines while playing.

Thanks Drumeo I'm not a drummer myself but I enjoy each and every video on this channel. All these drummers are not only skilled but incredible people as well.
Amazing take. He not only "plays the right parts", but captures the personality and spirit of the song. All the little swings, accents and momentum shifts.
I am gonna be honest, I didn’t know who this guy was before, but he has made me a fan. Humble for as skilled as he obviously is, but he got where he is by obviously being open to learning every chance he has. Inspirational, never give up folks because you don’t see yourself as good enough, and be willing to fail. By the end of such a short time he could fill in on the song no problem.
Discovered Eloy through drumeo. Incredible drummer. Seems unusually passionate and like an incredible sweet and down to earth guy. I would say the same exact thing about Brendan. Total sweet heart as well. Watching this little exchange between them is really touching. Thanks for this Drumeo❤
total honesty, all the other videos of drummers trying to learn the songs are amazing, but you gotta understand that this performance is another level, you can clear see and listen that Eloy felt every piece of the song and he played with such energy and also even though he added his flavours it felt right. Crushed every second!
I love how Eloy doesn't think he'll learn it, then crushes it like he was the dude that wrote the drum part with all the passion and love for the song and the band that Brann has. It's so fun watching Eloy do these videos!
Eloy is such a humble guy! One of the best metal drummers and his self deprecation is crazy. His lack of ego and motivation for perfection are inspiring! What an absolute beast!
I love this channel. How cool is it seeing two great drummers appreciate each other. Awesome that Drumeo shared the recording and filmed the response. Not just entertaining but heart warming too!
That final take was FUROCIOUS! I wasnt expecting him to not only nail it, but play it so energetically. Brann Dailor is such an idiosyncratic drummer. His fills and beats feel like his own personal muscle memory and very specific influences. Every time I listen to him, it reminds me of Mitch Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix's drummer - busy drums and fills on almost every measure lol. But gives each song such energy. This video was sick!
Eloy is by far one of the most awe-inspiring drummers today! This goes way beyond just trying to guess what the actual parts of the song would be. He's able to channel the same creative energy Mastodon pulled the song from and capture the spirit of the song which is SO much harder to get right. You need to feel and tap into the mindset and what Mastodon feel like writing and playing the song and sort of retroactively get in the room with them doing it and that makes Eloy an artist's artist through and through.
My drum teacher recently recommended Mastodon to me, saying it will inspire me to practice my fills etc and honestly it did! And seeing another incredible drummer play Mastodon too inspires me even more🔥
You don't know what the word "underrated" means. Look up the word, then look at all the praise, attention, and accolades that both of these drummers have received over the years, then re-read the nonsense you wrote. Brann Dailor is one of the greatest, thats a REAL chalenge for everyone. That was amazing of Eloy - thumbs up
Damn near every Mastodon song is an endurance test on drums, bran is a beast!
Dude wrecks shop every time
He’s got crazy endurance, especially when you know he sings a ton too which is tiring as well. Watching him do a play through of capillarian crest and the last baron for drumeo was a total treat, man fuckin rules
Agreed. Brann is like a Tour de France cyclist, self-induced abuse, but with funner drugs.
@@Beefry222what a creative analogy, really good one!
@Beefry222 and on top of that go out on stage and kill each song every damn time, with the same energy as the studio
I Love how he respects the original version but you can hear suttle hints of his own style 🔥
I have been praising this guy for YEARS! Telling numerous people about him and finally, he gets the recognition he deserves!
right?! I heard him in sepultura and was immediately impressed heavily!
He said it was decent, but to us, that sounded perfect. That's the thing about being the best in the world. People like that always strive to achieve perfection.
he is surprisingly candid and honest! And also I think he showed the awesome performance. Slipknot got not only the amazing drummer but the good man
Brann is a beast. More notes then ever needed but fills every second with insanity. Eloy killed it. As a drummer , to remember all the fills would take me a lifetime
Thanks Drumeo I'm not a drummer myself but I enjoy each and every video on this channel. All these drummers are not only skilled but incredible people as well.
This may be the best one yet...jaw dropping. Having Brann do a reaction to it was priceless too!
This guy is probably the best at this time, and he is so down to earth and humble. This is awesome!
It is crazy how fast he learns such hard song. Then play a studio quality take, perfect
Amazing take. He not only "plays the right parts", but captures the personality and spirit of the song. All the little swings, accents and momentum shifts.
Dude, you crushed it and with power!
I love the way Eloy plays - his intensity and passion is absolutely incredible
This is why I love the metal community, all of the musicians get along, no fighting about dumb shit, no beefing no nothing.
Well it's like that now. It wasn't for a while back in the day lol
You gotta be kidding.
That’s not true at all
That's a huge lie 😂 metalheads are always fighting about what is considered 'real metal'
@@jackasmaracas4362That's the audience. Fans are always cringe. The musicians all love each other nowadays
This performance is one of the best I've ever seen on this channel. Eloy is insane 🔥🤘
This guy seems real humble, amazing skill level
I am gonna be honest, I didn’t know who this guy was before, but he has made me a fan. Humble for as skilled as he obviously is, but he got where he is by obviously being open to learning every chance he has. Inspirational, never give up folks because you don’t see yourself as good enough, and be willing to fail. By the end of such a short time he could fill in on the song no problem.
He Sepulturaed for years
@@marcelaubut176 and Andre Matos band
Discovered Eloy through drumeo. Incredible drummer. Seems unusually passionate and like an incredible sweet and down to earth guy.
I would say the same exact thing about Brendan. Total sweet heart as well. Watching this little exchange between them is really touching.
Thanks for this Drumeo❤
@@marcelaubut176 now is Slipknoting😂
total honesty, all the other videos of drummers trying to learn the songs are amazing, but you gotta understand that this performance is another level, you can clear see and listen that Eloy felt every piece of the song and he played with such energy and also even though he added his flavours it felt right. Crushed every second!
Eloy is the most exciting thing to happen in music for decades
Lol
funny enough he's been playing professionally since he was 16
@@thiagocustodio8177But gringos strarted knowing him after Sepultura
@@CambuiFelix sort of. lots of people totally forgot about sepultura after cavalera's departure. but yes, he was already on the radar.
Go listen to Quadra by Sepultura. Eloy has composition credits in all of the songs
This made me smile... and I may have giggled a little.
This guy's absolutely phenomenal. You can tell he lives to play the drums.
100%, if Mastadon needed a drummer to fill in , I think that they would be beyond satisfied having Eloy sit in!
Solid work E !
He put "EVERYTHING " into his playing. Thats alot of heart....Eloy....Stsnd up!!!!
Eloy is incredible. Definitely one of the best drummers out there.
Brann is one of my favorite drummers. Really unique style. Fills and tones are so obviously him. Eloy nailed the hell out of this.
Im so f*cking happy to see them FINALLY bring Brann and Mastodons music into the mix! Brann Dailor is one of the greats and so overlooked!
Eloy is such a powerhouse. He killed it.
this "ah" 0:12 it's so Brazilian ♥️ he's so brasileiro
That snare sounds unreal
I was thinking the same throughout the whole video
Nice that you included Brann's reaction at the end, good job!
Brann teaching himself drums shows how special his style is and Eloy is such masterful player. It's cool af seeing this. 🤘
I love to see people so good at what they do being so humble and nice. That’s not just good musician there but also a good character.
My drum teacher recently recommended Mastodon to me, saying it will inspire me to practice my fills etc and honestly it did! And seeing another incredible drummer play Mastodon too inspires me even more🔥
These guys seem like two of the nicest guys in metal. Also, two of the best and most underrated drummers.
You don't know what the word "underrated" means. Look up the word, then look at all the praise, attention, and accolades that both of these drummers have received over the years, then re-read the nonsense you wrote.
Actually, how about you tell everyone exactly how Eloy and Brann are overrated. You absolutely will not be able to because they are not.
