Honestly, who cares? You don’t buy a “muscle” car because it’s an investment. Enjoy it.
Correct . Almost any car is a bad investment and should not be purchased as such
People bought them as investments though and paid stupid markups because they believe this. I don’t care either way. That’s the reality of it though. 1970/71 ain’t happening again for mopars. They’d actually be worth something if they were sold at MSRP and enjoyed as cars before being treated as “investments”. It doesn’t help that Hellcat has been produced in good quantities over the years. The current Challenger body style alone has been in production for 15 years.
Facts! I'll keep mine about 2 years and move on
Only stupid people think it’s an investment. That’s the premise they use to make this horrible decision.
Exactly, buy it to rag the ever living dogshit out of it. Why wait until 2060 to pull it out of the garage
You are definitely an honest man! I'm a Mustang owner, got it brand new back in 08. Still, for me, the best car ever. I already put in 225k miles in my Mustang. When I bought mine, I knew I was going to keep it, but I didn't think I would still own it now. 😂 market is too crazy to buy anything right now. Thank you for your advice!!
Thee underrated 4.6 mustang gt. You take care them , they will our
I did not buy my Hellcat for anyone but me! I never thought it would be an investment. You are so right about the cost. Insurance is out of sight. I drive and Enjoy it everytime. I am not rich at all. I think you got the Hellcat right. Thank you for a great video OC.
I just bought a 2021 scat pack for 125 k. The dealer told me its a collector. It only has 56k miles on it
@@greenrush4313 what makes it a collector?
Get collectors car insurance through hagerty or Grundy and thank me later
I kinda bought mine for an investment😉or that's my story and I'm sticking to it. But all in all my 2021 Widebody 392 is a Blast to drive. I don't need 797 or 807 horses to satisfy my need for speed and if I do, I'll do some modifications to bump the horses. But importantly, I didn't overpay for my R/T Scat Pack T/A Challenger. Here's my video link. It is not winning any Academy Awards. ruclips.net/video/-G21WufuvBE/видео.htmlsi=eYWYw7MoSknuGzQy

Thank you for all your efforts behind the scenes and time it takes to make these great videos. Your a smart man that I hope everyone sees your channel as it pertains to these cars. The last video I watched twice so it 'sank into my head'
I just bought a 2021 scat pack for 125 k. The dealer told me its a collector. It only has 56k miles on it
Brad you’re 100% correct!!
My 2023 jailbreak hellcat widebody loaded, when it was delivered I turned it down, & and the dealer said they had a buyer.. well guess what I drove by the dealership yesterday and still sitting there almost 2 months later… and they still have it selling at MSRP… these cars will keep going down in value!
Why did you turn it down at MSRP? Did you suddenly stop liking the car?
Dude 12 days ago you said you took delivery of a swinger scat pack. Which one is it?
@@mopar_shawn939 😂 he had to correct his lie, the jailbreak hellcat sounds better

Great vid Brad! Keep them coming! Just bought a 2023 Swinger WB shaker 2 days ago. 200 miles on it 59k. Where did you get your hood pins installed? I’m San Diego.. Thx! What a joker this guy.. Must make him feel better to lie to youtube creators and users in the comment section.??

Get outta your moms basement and quit lying.. you prob drive a 2015 SXT stanking of weed and dents all over it, worth about $3500 bucks..
He spent 140k with a 11% interest , he should’ve traveled for MSRP
😱 11% interest rate.. geez
There are tons of vehicles tucked-away in garages with no miles. I recently saw a post on IG of a 1996 Bronco Eddie Bauer with only 396 original miles. It’s incredible how people buy these cars & they just sit.
With the rate of inflation in the us last year@8.20% and the long term @3.28 if you keep 100k in the sock drawer it will depreciate to $67200 in 10 years. If you take that route Seems about the same depreciation as the car
OC I was able to purchase the special edition super bee widebody for below msrp, surprisingly. But I 100% agree with you I’m not going to let it sit and wait for its value to go up. These cars are meant to be driven the way they are built for
What was the discount you got?
I own a Challenger Hellcat. Its a 6spd 2018 first year wide body and the rare yellow jacket color with 19,000 miles. Did it go up in value? Nope. Will it go up in value? Nope. Is it losing value? Yup.
I just bought a 2021 scat pack for 125 k. The dealer told me its a collector. It only has 56k miles on it
😂
Love your shout out to your old man and the respect for his sacrifices for his family! Totally awesome! Nice cold had analysis. Truth is just fine!
Yesssir
My buddy bought a Scat Pack shaker for 5k below msrp. He regrets it and wants to sell it. Unfortunately, he would STILL lose almost 20k in just a couple of months, with only 1700 miles on it.
I have a 2020 scat pack challenger … I have 18 more months until I pay it off …. My dumb self wants to get a hellcat lol
@@samuelterrito4113 I’m in college still living with parents to finish med school , I could afford it living with my parents but it will be a dumb financial choice , young and dumb as they say
No way did it lose 20 gs with 1700 miles
@@fastlyf98 According to Dodge's website, there are currently 8,091 2023 Scat Packs on dealer lots and 1,931 in transit. There are also a bunch of unsold 2022's, but Dodge won't let you search for those anymore. Brad is completely correct, the prices have crashed, and continue to freefall.
Buyers remorse is a very costly mistake
This is what happened in the 70s when gas prices exploded and a recession entered. There were Challengers, Chargers, Mustangs, Camaros, Roadrunners everywhere, and cheap. In 77, I bought a GTX for $700. I owned many Mustangs, including a 67 GTA convertible and a 66 289 fastback hypo for under a $1000. Regular Mustangs were $500. People were buying used VW beetles and 240 Zs
Great content, keep spreading the word
OCM your awesome 🙌🏾! Some folks are just hard-headed
I have an 08 srt8 challenger hemi orange and 1 of 6400 made. 6.1 Hemi. 425 HP. 8400 miles on her. Always garaged. Never saw rain or snow. The only difference between mine and new ones are the engines, mine has cd player, different shift handle, my tach is on the righ mph on the left. I saw one exactly like mine with 1000 miles on Mecum and it sold for $63,000.
I went to a house for a job and the owner had a rare convertible dodge Challenger from the 70s. Super beautiful even in the picture i took. I asked if he was thinking about selling it but he said he just bought a new engine for it.
Hey, adjusted for inflation that car was sold for the exact amount of money that was bought back in 2008. Remember, your money loses value every day as well, not just the car.
I know a guy who has a 2014 Camaro trailer queen he takes to shows, doesn't drive it much and brags about how it's a 1 of 1...because he ordered it that way. The "one of" designation is pretty much unimportant with a new car.
I'm about to surrender a 392 back to the dealer can't afford it anymore.
@@richardweyland116 I get a kick out of people who brag about their 1-of-1 unique car...that is unique only because they ordered the leather covered blinker stalk or whatever other stupid option nobody else got, or because they chose some hideous combination of paint and stripes and floor mat stitching colors.
Like, my Exige is 1-of-1, but only because I'm the only one who has done the exact combination of mods that I have done to it. It doesn't make it special. I don't go around acting better than everybody else because, "Yeah, I'm the only one that has ripped out the firewall sound deadening insulation AND installed a certain brand exhaust AND screwed in the front tow hook."
Great info as usual
This was actually really good. I learned a few things. Nice !
Love the videos Brad!! Keep up the fantastic work! Make these videos nice and long. Also, sometime in late January, I'm going to trade in my 21 Widebody ScatPack for a 23 ScatPack. We live in Hawaii. Hopefully the prices are lower by then. You also remind me of my high school football coach lol! Awesome stuff. Thanks for all you do for the community brother.
Why would you trade a 21 for a 23 of the exact same car?.. Just wondering, since they have been virtually unchanged since they were introduced in 2015.. I bought a brand new Redeye Challenger in 2019 when they had the Dodge Power Dollars discount going on.. it was $10 per horsepower discount.. I paid $66,800 bucks after all the rebates ect.. I was planning on just getting a regular Hellcat, but the redeye was so cheap and I figured it would be much more desirable if I needed to unload it for some reason.. Its now paid off and I most likely will plan to enjoy it for a long time coming.. Its sad to see people paying as much as I spent on a Redeye for a Scat.. Geez that is crazy!!
@@Clutch_Kick187Dumb. Especially with the interest rates only going north
I bought my 2022 WideBody Challenger at MSRP back on Memorial Day 2022 and as long as it doesn’t get stolen or totaled, I planning on keeping it until the day I die.
OC is right on!
I purchased two Challenger 1320's, one in 2021 and one in 2022, one to use and one to sell down the road. Got them both under MSRP and with 0.00% financing. This year I decided to sell the '21 and got 100% what I paid for it MINUS 24 months of insurance payments. So yeah, I lost money. I do believe I could have made money on it if I would have waited a few more years, especially since it was parked/stored with zero miles, HOWEVER, I would likely make more by buying precious metals or with some other investments.
Thanks for hitting the nail on the head and putting this investment in a new car idea to rest. I almost did it because everyone was talking about how they aren't going to make them any more, blah, blah, blah. I'm glad I didn't. You're absolutely right, excellent point, it took 50yrs to make that 1970 muscle car worth more money. You're also right about the new Challengers, DRIVE it.
Awesome content. Blue collar man!
Really really helpful advice here!
Great Content As Usual
I currently have a Redeye Widebody being shipped from Phoenix to Fairbanks, Alaska. Window sticker in '19 was $94K, bank just valued it at $74K, and I got it for $60K, mostly because I feel the auto broker didn't have it advertised very well, and I jumped on it the day they listed it. I'm going to drive it whenever I can (which I realize won't be often), and if it eventually goes the way of the '70 Hemi 'Cuda, then so be it. If it doesn't, I still get to say I have a Go Mango Satin Black SRT Challenger Hellcat Redeye Widebody. I'm "investing" in Smiles Per Gallon. 😉
People have to understand you buy cars for:
• Practicality/Family/Necessity/A to B
• Love/Fun/Collection/Driving Them
• NOT INVESTMENTS. Even if it appreciates there are still better investments where that money could have gone.
Got mine with gap and like 2k down just bc of this lmao. If it deprecates that bad, I’ll go get gas in a shady part of town 😭
I bought my pontiac firebird trans am back in 2004, used for $16k drove the shit out of it.
Still have it with 180 thousand miles.
I enjoyed that car for 20 years best $16k ever spent
Good video idk why some other RUclipsrs swear up and down it’s an investment and will be worth a lot of money. You keep it 💯 with facts and people will still argue with you that it’s not true. Enjoy your Charger or Challenger drive it!
I enjoy my ‘22 R/T Challenger, got for 3K under sticker and negotiated down the add-ons.
Lol well said bro I straight be laughing when people say a car is an investment smh I walked away from a car dealership when the sales guy said that bull crap
I like a RT it gets me everywhere and I am glad that I can drive one everyday it turns head and I always wanted one.
No rt is turning heads unless it’s modded out
Same! I'm extremely happy and satisfied with my RT.
They do turn my head, but only because I want to see if the guy is interested in getting his lunch handed to him at the next stoplight.
I bought a 2023 Jail Break Challenger for 5,000 off MSRP. All the wide body models are marked up 10,000 they have the wider tires but they weigh more narrow bodies have the same horse power. I like having the Last Call badge and the extra 10 horse power that's why I did it to have something slightly out of the ordinary. It is my daily when it is nice out and I will take it to the track four or five times a year it puts a big smile on my face that's why I bought it.
Stellantis deserves some real fiscal humble pie.
I want those tips please . Just got my first challenger RXT
I bought a '21 Challenger Scat base 6mt no options for $41k OTD in Oct. 21.
Traded it in 6/22 for $46.5k + $7000 out of pocket on a '22 WB 6mt order, optioned exactly the way I wanted it, for $500 over invoice. (I am a dealership employee, though just a lowly parts schlub.)
...
That's $48k for a '22 WBSP Challenger new.
I have no plans to ever sell it, but as well bought as it was, it has no hope of being an investment.
Drive them. Enjoy them.
I'm trying to buy a used charger scat pack. Can you maybe make a video about buying a used one?
I received a random email this morning from KBB regarding the value of my 2020 1320. I paid 45 and change out the door new from dodge dealer (one month before the chip shortage), KBB with no regard for limited production of that model year says 46 and change for my 2020 1320 right now. Your theory may apply to some standard hellcats, scats, and overpriced last call models but not all.
i found a 2009 srt8 challenger in feb 2018 with only 10500 miles, hemi orange-very cheap...one owner, local car, well taken care of....aftermarket parts already put on it....the other cars were already out-6.2/6.4 hemis no one wanted that older car-fully loaded and automatic. there was a 2008 black srt9 sitting right beside it in black with navigation. i took the hemi orange. i could have gotten the 2008 for 4500 less but not black for me. i traded a corvette in on it. i have had the most fun in this car believe me. it is paid for and gets great mileage, a smiles per gallon as well!! right now the value of mine actually just went up 5k to 31k. i dont know why exactly. i dont want to sell it. i am hoping to be able to weather this fjb economy. this guy knows what he is talking about. i feel this economy is about to crash and if that is the case it wont matter.
After watching this video im driving my Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak from Dallas to Vegas this weekend.
Loved this video, OC. Always wanted a Challenger since they came out. I recently bought a Billet with black stripes, SRT392 manual. It has 19k miles. Bought from another old guy like me. Middle aged AF vet, now school teacher. It was a great, fair price. I didnt buy it as an investment so I enjoy it very much. I only drive it 4-6 times a month but I enjoy it and don’t worry about it appreciating. I don’t expect it to so it’s a lot of fun to own.
Hey OC, that was me who sent you the video 😅
Thanks! 👍👍
The last vehicle I bought from the old daimler Chrysler group was a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8. That car costed me about 43K after tax, title, and destination, and I didn't care about the resale value, I bought the car to enjoy it. Today I own several vehicles, but I haven't bought a brand new vehicle since March of 2021 (that was a Polaris Slingshot). The last brand new passenger vehicle I bought was in March of 2020, that was a Chevy Silverado LT Trail Boss 6.2L for about 61K, and since then the prices have shot up dramatically.
Very valid points were. I have a video explaining how dealer markups ruin good cars and you’re exactly right. The hype around any muscle car is always the Achilles heel. Great explanation!
I live in ATL. There are currently 2 SRT Demon for sale for around 130k+. I am watching them closely as the price of them keeps coming down cuz no one is buying them at that price! By the way, the monthly payment is like 2k+ a month.
There are too many "Special Additions" and after all They re just a Dodge and unless a Charger from the 60's not a chance. If you already paid over MSRP now to get one did anyone really think these things are going to appreciate.
Exactly these style Challenger’s are on every street corner all over the U.S. Just way too many to be worth anything ever. Same thing with Corvettes. Mass produced American Cars. You have a rare Ferrari or Lamborghini that’s a very different story.
just bought a Hellcat should I install a catch can?
I love my new 5.7 daytona. My base r/t got totalled. I had $20k in equity because i bought my r/t during covid 2020. With excellent credit I could have gotten ANYTHING i wanted. I decided to dump $18k cash ins payout into my new fully loaded daytona and financed only $25k at 5% CU. Payments $400/m x 72 I'm extremely happy! Gotta be smart!
I bought my Durango hellcat for my 50th birthday not as an investment but as a fun toy. I have real investments for that purpose and I do think the Durango hellcat is probably the one that will hold onto the value the most just because of the few years that it was made, well besides the demon anyway but at least the Durango you could actually use it every day unlike the demon
💯 I agree. DDHC are the best Hellcat.
"It's dumb to think these vehicles will hold value...except for the one I got...THIS one will hold value."
Gd channel gd info!!!A bit off topic however does anyone know why corvette c7s are 5 -20 grand over msrp and they good investments???
You hit it on the head. I’m a Porsche guy, I can’t imagine paying 200k for a car then going to a dodge service department mixed with lower tier clientele.
I know those wheels are called “Gold School” but the I’ve seen that same wheel in black/gloss black (prefer gloss black) and I gotta say its the sweetest wheel Mopar offers IMO. It has that extra lip to give em this super deep look and I love it. Anyway, thanks brotha.
Yeah I have a 13 Daytona R/T. Always wanted a charger, can’t see myself paying over 500 a month for my note and insurance when I only make 55 a year. I like being able to make additional payments, see too many people with the new ones that can’t even make their ONLY payment
I started with a 2015 SRT 8 challenger. It was a manual and fast as hell. I loved it but it wasn't a hellcat. I bought a 2018 hellcat widebody. One of 135 in Torred. I drive it every day despite high maintenance, high gas prices (I was paying $6.00 a gallon in Vegas at one point) and the risk of getting it stolen. Technically, it's a rare car but why should I put it away for someone else to enjoy down the road. My point is enjoy it now while you can. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
That is the right attitude. Enjoy what you want, while you can. Treating your car as a garage Queen is like saving your wife for the next guy...
I ordered my '21 Charger Hellcat at sticker for 0% financing right before the economy went into the dumpster. Never bought it as an investment as it is my daily driver and I love every time I get to drive it. When the economy seemed to be getting worse, I took it to Carmax just to see what they would give me. They offered me 65k when I had less than 10k miles on it. Needless to say, I laughed all the way out of the dealership and I'm still enjoying it today. I thought that maybe IF they actually do discontinue the Hellcat that the value would go up, then I would have the option to sell it for profit if I chose to. Still, seeing as I bought it to drive, it doesn't matter much to me.
If it’s said to be a collector’s edition be sure it isn’t.Many people have put away so called collectors cars and years later they were extremely disappointed at the value of those vehicles.
A collector car doesn't become a collector car just because the manufacturer says it's a collector car. Jaguar didn't put out the XKE and say it was a collector edition. Buick didn't put out the GNX and say it was a collector edition. It's just something that happens when a car ages and enough people figure out it is rare and special.
@@xtnuser5338 So true.
Well, I picked up a 21 RT plus with 40k miles on it for 25k , 1 owner now accidents and locally owned here in Florida, and for the money I couldn’t have been happier and I don’t miss the 100 hp difference in the scat pack because it’s extremely affordable, lower insurance and I got it at 6.4% in todays market. I’m doing just fine and I agree, these cars are not investments. I already put 3k miles on this car in a month and I’m gonna drive it into the ground.
just got a 2021 scatpack widebody indigo blue 6 speed manual. its so amazing 46,897
So I ask again, did I do ok buying my 2021 Super Stock at sticker and financing 72k for 72 months at 0% interest?
When the madness on new and used cars was starting to climb? Yep! Imagine the same car at 0% at todays price! Inflation kicked in hard.
When I'm able to purchase a V8, trust and believe, I'm driving the hell out it. It will NOT be sitting somewhere rusting away. I'm going to enjoy the power!! I currently have the V6 and will check the dealerships next summer to see what the scat prices are looking like.
Honestly I'm happy with my v6. I'll probably tune it a bit and drive it for the next 6-8 years. I don't really care if it devalues, it's a car - that's what they do.
OCM you got me over here dying laughing 🤣
amen-my dad worked his ass off building houses-building cabinets-etc and i was there right beside him....he was a vietnam veteran as well. i served 23 years until my combat injury ended that career as well. speak that truth friend. that is what i loved about ram-they had the least amount of electronics now they have more than ford. too much bs. i wont ever purchase any more new vehicles.
Great points. Even if u wanted to keep it as an "investment", you wouldn't be able to drive it much, you'd be paying registration and insurance annually, and the plastic and rubber crap will need replacement. Strictly for fun..
250k for a challenger is insane. I love my challenger but the interior is almost identical from the demon to sxt. You cant justify to me why a dodge powertrain is worth a quarter of a million dollars
Its that power. A thousand hp stock hemi off the floor. My guy back home built a 68 camaro frame off with a big block 502 it's nasty with the chopped cam sound. It took a decade to finish it that was about the same amount ,but it's different spread out over several year's. It's no question definitely 250k is preposterous that's a house.
@@oldschoolhiphop2275 like I said, you can't justify why a powertain is worth a quarter of a million dollars. Especially when you get those numbers on extremely specific situations. You're not rolling out the lot hitting 1.66 0-60 or 8.5 Q1/4 mile on the first street. Let's be real, yes this car is justifably at most a 120k car especially with that interior. 8k (including manual labor) is what it would take have a pathetic base model SXT challenger look like a demon on the inside. 250k I can get an Aventotar that will make similar numbers, with much better handles and an luxurious interior. It is and will never be worth 250k in our lifetime
3:20 my 23 392 charger cost me like 5k including towing cost, clean titled too
Well, I checked my Chrysler dealer website in Calgary again, and what do you know -- the 2022 regular body Hellcat I traded in in June is still listed in their "pre-owned inventory". They cannot sell it!!! First they priced it at CAD$130K ;) then the price dropped to CAD$107K, then CAD$99K, and now it's sitting at CAD$96K (!). They had this car (3,000 KM or 2,000 miles on the Odo) since June '23 and nobody wants it!!!
Sounds like they fell for their own hype! The reckoning is here for these dealerships.
@@ocmotivatorI follow ur advice and I purchased an RT for $8500 under MSRP. I stood firm on what I was willing to pay and I received every incentive available. I was willing to walk out several times and they wanted my business. I was hit with the last call speech just like everyone else. I explain that Dodge had the largest inventory on hand and I was able to back them into a corner. I purchased my TorRed RT plus with the works. The only thing my RT is missing is the sunroof which wasn’t a must have for me. I’d like to thank you for all of your advice and I am now enjoying my 2023 “Last Call” RT. Continue to bless everyone with ur knowledge and keep the content coming
just earned a subscriber from me my man. appreciate everything you said in this video and much respect to your father🤝. but i just don’t understand how they can continue to ask for those high prices on a car thats pretty much the same damn car for years, see hundreds of them everywhere and are the most stolen car in america 😂. seems like you have to be rich, steal them or be some type of scammer just to have one
Looking for a scat pack or hell cat new for sticker ....east coast
And maybe I don’t notice the insurance because my last 10 cars have been range rovers or AMG’s so I guess my insurance is already a little high but it’s really not bad at all. The one thing I will say is the gas prices are crazy that’s about it, I go way more gas now than any of my other cars, but this also has more horsepower than any of my other cars
I thought the only one of these cars that would be worth storing would be a Black Ghost due to the low production run. At 300 made, that is only 6 per state. Am I wrong? Assuming I could get it at or below MSRP.
most have a $50k markup re sellers on e bay motors
A car becomes collectable when it's special and rare. I mean, when the whole care is rare. If they made a million of them, but only 300 of them had a vinyl roof, it's still not a rare car. It's a rare vinyl roof only. If there are still half a million of them in the world thirty years from now, how much extra do you really think people are going to value the stupid vinyl roof?
The prices that you showed in the listing, could buy a NICE 4-bedroom HOUSE in MY part of the country (Mid-Central Wisconsin) LOL..
I never bought mine as an investment my wife’s 392 Jeep 20th anniversary I got from the dealership that you go to down in Orange Coast bought my TRX keep them both in the garage and they’re just there for fun so I really don’t care about what they’re worth plus I really don’t drive my car too much anyway. Oh, and I paid MSRP on both. Thanks to you brother.
As much as I enjoy mine, my 70 hemi super bird was $3100 plus options, now it’s worth 250,000. Seems like a decent amount of growth to me, for a car anyway.
69 Chrysler 300 440 magnum
Cost 12k to restore myself.
Sold for 60k
Changing gears, gmc cyclone 28k new. Go for 90-100 now
Buick gnx, 28k new. 100k now.
So on and so forth. Maybe not an upfront investment on the numbered cars, sure. Enjoy it and love. Maturity won’t be seen for another 20 years more than likely…. But it will happen. Se, sxt, RT, some scat packs. Yeah maybe not so much. But numbered hellcats, demons, and almost anything widebody will eventually go up.
Finally somebody knows what their talking about in the comments. Its like nobody understands how this car thing works. Its a bunch of people that love these cars but know absolutely nothing about cars and how value works.
How many Superbirds were made?
The GNX makes a good example for an analysis.
So they're worth roughly 3.5x what they stickered for. Thirty-five years later, it's made a profit of $72k. But over that thirty-five years, inflation has eaten up $47k of that $72k, leaving $27k of actual profit today. And how much of that $27k has been eaten up by maintenance costs, storage costs, insurance costs, etc.? Let's be generous and say only $7k, leaving you with $20K of real world profit after thirty-five years on the original $28k investment.
That works out to be about a 2.5% average annual return. If my 401k made that little, I'd be majorly pissed off.
And the values have really risen in the last decade. If you did this analysis ten years ago, when they were 25 years old, you wouldn't have even beaten inflation.
It will be a yard ornament 😂😂😂
If you see the new Banshee pictures at the factory it has a it has a transmission tunnel and enough and space to put an internal combustion engine just look at the spice photos from the factory
We’ve known for a year now that they were going to put the hurricane in-line 6 into that car. Not a surprise.
@@ocmotivator yeah I've been saying that for the whole year too that's why that's why I'm letting you know because most people didn't think it's just they thought it was just going to be an Eevee

Anyone who thinks these are an "investment" are more delusional than Corvette owners.
I just traded my 2020 raptor. I got 78% of its original MSRP. I had 4 Challengers and did fairly well on trades. But it’s time has come.
Ironically if you do not drive these super charged cars casually or even occasionally you will be paying for it further down the line because parts that were meant to be broken in properly were not as the manufacturer intended them to be. So as a result you either stuck completely reserving and or risking the value going down the second you either break the engine in or start the car and drive down the road more than 30 seconds. i have a ford Taurus 2017 it hates when you just get in and drive it without letting the transmission or engine warm up first so i let it warm up first but if you noticed on a cold day when you only let your engine warm up but don't drive the car and cut it off and come back start the vehicle but the oil temp goes back down but then you turn the engine over drive more than 30 seconds cut the engine and start it back the oil temp will stay warm. it's because the parts requiring heat and liquid to pass through got the adequate amount and as a result are pretty much on standby for immediate use. I belive this theory applies to super and turbo charges cars once they are broken in or used occasionally. But i also believe you can strike a happy medium. Get a daily driver and garage, get an honest mechanic and rack, a good body shop and detailer.
Dude went to a local dodge dealer here in Houston and said 58k for a scat pack with cloth seats was a good deal 🤣
I’d be happy if I got 80 to 90 percent of what I paid for my swinger in a few years when I sell it. I paid 3k under sticker. It was less than many regular SP wide bodies on the dealer lot.
You did great on your swinger for sure getting it under msrp! Just drive it and enjoy it. 👍👍
Yup, your right, looked at new 23 Hellcat, $75K, they now have $2K factory cash till 11-30, $1K trade assist, and $500 military cash.
They did over price them in the later year's I bought my RT in 2010 brand new with the exterior Mopar package for in the mid 20s
I have a 2012 challenger rt. Header orange. 6 speed manual. Sunroof. One year rims, with 10,000 miles. Bought it for 12,000. Dodge dealer wants to give me 25,000. It is only one of 114 made in that package. I think I am going to keep it. Great investment.
I agree and I like these cars. It will be holding some value in 20 years but I'm not waiting 20 years for a small return. If you like, buy it and enjoy just for the car.
I hope so i want to buy one
Facts!!!!!💯💯OC
Great video I have 57,000 miles on my scat pack and I hope to have 150
Warranty just about up brutha
@@OctonaBoyFresh long gone!
@@patthomas9547 sheesh
There was a king Daytona on bring a trailer that only went to 113k reserve was not met
Keep preaching truth sir
I believe I seen a 2023 challenger shakedown used on online for under 60k with under 2k miles already 😮
In my town I seen a plum crazy super Bee charger but it was a wide body they wanted $70,000 I looked I think the MSRP was 68 or 69.000 very small markup
Most cars are horrible investments. Buy them, and have fun. My 2018 hellcat has 50k, one day it'll have 100k and I would've enjoyed every minute of it
As long as you're predicting the future, what's the stock price of 3M and Starbucks in five years? I need to know.
Butthurt you paid 200k for a DODGE that, to most average people, is indistinguishable from the 30k v6 model? 😅
Best part 12:36 my man…and that tombstone cracked me up afterwards lol
I’m here for a good time not a long time. Buying a nice car and just letting it sit is dumb. Drive it, have fun. Enjoy life.
Personally I think the Scat Pack is the best move financially. They have the power also! No car is a better investment than a property! No one is going to give you what you paid for. Plus it’s tons of these cars around and will be easy to get in the future!
@@DeepDishPizzait’ll go right back to those prices, these cars aren’t touching 6 figures ever unless crazy inflation takes place which wouldn’t matter cause that 100k will be like the 40-50k.
@@DeepDishPizzaYep! Got my 2020 scatpack WB for $40k msrp and no markup.
@@DeepDishPizza You’re correct but like I said, I got mines for $40k.
@@deesmith800Why did you say 40k msrp if thats not msrp?
@@DeepDishPizza yea but remember everything is much higher now. Prices changed
I got lucky and bought my 23 Scatpack Widebody for sticker. I don’t really drive it not because I want to make money on it later but because I love it so much and want the car to last for a really long time. I had to fight for sticker and they wanted to charge me $10,000 over as an EMPLOYEE! Now we can’t sell any of them and have several hellcats that have been sitting for 6+ months now.
In my town we have a car dealership guy. 20 years ago he had one and now he has like 8, all different makes.
He also is a car lover. He has a collection like Rick Hendrick, hundreds of cars, mostly old muscle but he has one or two of these Hellcats and other “special” Dodges.
He is the only person I know of that can afford to collect these cars. He will just park them in his indoor garage and leave them there for when they will be worth it. He won’t drive them, they will have delivery mileage.
Anybody that doesn’t have it like that is a fool trying to “collect” these Chargers and Challengers. If you can’t pay cash then you are wasting your money.
