- I give you my thoughts on buying a Demon 170. Now that my engine needs replaced, I answer the question: was this the biggest mistake I have ever made on my channel or is this just a minor setback. I give you the good and the bad of owning a Demon 170 and tell you if it's worth it.

RacerX let us down against Brooks. Demonology knows how to drive and he beats Tesla Plaids no problem.
I wouldn’t say he’s doing it with no problem. He’s probably barely doing it and his motor in his 170 isn’t being turned into dust like RacerX is… His car had a problem from day one.
Dad Gum X, your motor blows in your 125K Demon, you lose your job, and your dog dies. When it rains it pours it seems. Hoping things get turned around on several fronts. Your about due for some better luck and with your always upbeat attitude I'm sure better times are ahead.
I hate that your engine grenaded, but I really hate to hear that K9X passed. I’m sorry and I hope your luck turns around for you.

I have a 807 motor with 16 miles on it,. If you need a motor
Don’t forget about the hardest thing for him, he lost his mom. He’s definitely had it rough. I’m saying prayers for him.
It happens, had a bad cylinder in my Musi 632 on my 2nd pass ever, no nitrous, only NA runs. But they took care of me. Any 1000+ HP drivetrain can have issues. Lots of factors involved.

The whole dealership model is outdated and needs to go away. Allow customers to buy directly from the manufactures, allow the manufactures to setup their own local sales and service shops. Eliminate dealing with shady 3rd party people. It will never happen though because of NADA and them lining politician pockets...

@mariohedz they'll use any excuse to get out of paying for warranty work. Yes, legally they have to pay, as of the past few years, and the crappy products they've been pushing out, they try to say YOU broke it.

Damn man, you are going through it right now. Much love to you and the family, I know the stress of the job issue was enough on top of the Demon breaking down, but now losing the pup. Life just took a cheap shot. As a guy with a family of 5 rescues (3 pure bred Shepherds) and knowing my oldest doesn't have much time left with us, my heart goes out to you guys. Nothing can fill that void, but hopefully the happy memories make it a little less painful. Keep your head up buddy, we are all here cheering for you!

Thank you for the level of class and maturity you've shared with everyone while dealing with external disappointments and even personal loss. Also, you've got a grip on reality and it doesn't matter what other's expectations of your car is. It seems to me that you find refuge in doing what you've been able to do and I believe you are grateful for being able to do these things. I'll be digging my Scat Pack Challenger out of it's winter hibernation next weekend which if it hadn't been for your advice, I would have missed out on all the fun those cars had in store for us.

Life tends to kick you while you're down. Trust me, I know. I was in an accident last year while I was at work, driving my own car to deliver mail, and an off duty cop decided to fail to yield, I t-boned him, airbag deployed, and it broke my left pinky. Car was totaled. Then two weeks later, I was in another accident, this time in my 2018 Mustang GT, it got totaled, plus I got a ticket for it too. (low tire tread, traction issues lead to it) and then months later, after going to all my therapy sessions for my pinky, I developed a joint contracture in my pinky, so now no more playing guitar. My entire life turned upside down last year.
Needless to say, I plan on buying a house and a nice toy with my settlement from the first accident... but I did manage to get a 2005 Mustang GT for $5300 which put me back into a muscle car... but there's a Coyote swap in its near future too...
It will get better.

Sounds to me like your story is more about dealing with bad dealerships than bad product.
This story could highlight the dealer you are working with as to what a respectable dealer should do for customers of any form of automobile. I hope they do right by you along with Stellantis, but a minivan owner should get their issues treated with the same respect as a "flagship" car that has at least nationwide visibility.

Hey brother, so sorry to hear about the Demon. Been following since you took delivery and it sucks that you’re having issues. Not to mention, the payments don’t stop even when you don’t have the car, ugh! Apparently, when it rains it pours and I’m so sorry to hear about your pup too, just terrible. We lost our little guy a few months ago, not the same without him. The joy he had when he’d hop in the passenger seat of The_Carboncat never got old. RIP to our “men’s best friends” and good luck with all you’re dealing with. 🙏🏼

Look at your states Lemon Law and use it to your advantage. I wouldn't want it back after it failed that early. Kudos for continuously mentioning "Private Event". NEVER give Dodge a reason to cry "WARRANTY VOIDED".
Most lemon laws states your car must be in the shop for a certain amount of time and they are unable to fix issue. This doesn’t fit a lemon law criteria
My state the dealership has 3 chances to fix it before it's eligible for a Lemon Law
Naw he ain't giving up his Demon 170. Dodge is honoring the defects. The car was semi rushed to meet certain upcoming epa guidelines. There are rumors of the engine having issues in the beginning of testing. They strengthened major parts but their parts manufacturers have been messing up as well.

So sorry for your loss, dogs really become part of the family, and it hurts, it sucks. As far as your Demon 170 I hope they sort it out and the new engine is installed and built correctly. If you remember when Dodge themselves were testing the Demon 170 they were blowing engines left and right, so it might just be the way it is. Putting so much power will cause reliability to be down. I agree you did nothing abusive to it, it was designed for the drag strip. Seems like many Challenger and Chargers of this final year are having issues, very sad.My Brother has a 2019 6.4 no issues at all, great car. If you keep having problems with the demon, Get the new Dark Horse Mustang or I would even like to see something from Japan, Nissan GT-R or even the new Nissan Z . Hey Racer X, love the content. Keep it coming. I just have one thing to say about the 170. It's a mass production drag car!! That in itself does not make since. To many ppl touching to many parts and little to no quality control throughout the whole process. If anything the engine should have been hand build by engine builders so at least that component was solid. Would have been alittle more but worth every penny to know the engine is solid. Well that's my little 2cents. Hope you get your car back soon. Again keep the content coming. Peace
