NOBODY TALKS ABOUT NO SKILL SHIELDS!!! Not needing to unequipped the shield to use the weapon skill is dope.
I'm half through the game and didn't even notice bloody slash costs life, cause I'm always impressed by the dmg it does.
Accidently killed myself halfway into a fight without realising it used hp, I was so confused as I had dodged everything perfectly lol

pro tip. the blood blade only uses health once if you continue to spam it. it will only use fp after that. but once you break the cycle of it youll have to take that small bit of health again. paying attention to this has saved my ass multiple times in boss fights

You can jump IN the windsprings for no falldamage with Torrent. They are not a one way street, they work up AND down

I honestly love this game. Even if it’s rlly hard I love how many creative animations/ashes of war and weapons there are. Most games don’t have so many cool mechanics packed in. Very impressive
Its not hard at all only hard part is figuring out what do the game itself is so easy

Might not be immediately evident, but the point of "No Skill" is to apply it to a shield in order to use your mainhand skill without the need to two hand it. It can be really beneficial if you're more about guard counters over parry/barricade, and being able to safely block before unleashing a powerful skill.
I use a similar setup but you can use barricade and still use the guard counter, it also helps that style a lot becuase it will usually make the enemy bounce so no waiting for the last hit to use the counter

@@dillonboles6226 Right, I realize that barricade is definitely good for guard counters, no skill can simply be applied to a shield or torch if you wish to use your mainhand skill without the need for two-handing.
something to note with the sacred blade is that the projectile and the golden aura it leaves on the weapon for 20 seconds both do absurd damage against any undead (around 3×-4× normal) and prevents them from reviving.
A personal favorite of mine for Faith melee builds (especially in co-op) is Golden Vow
Unsheathe is my favorite so far. It closes big distances instantly, it’s quick to cast, it does a shit ton of damage, it staggers most enemies and breaks posture for several enemies on a single hit, and there’s two different ways to cast it sweeping and down slashing.
It’s basically chasing slice from sekiro just minus the shuriken

@@lancel.7737 yes, unfortunately. You can find the uchigatana in the catacombs in northern limgrave
The down slash hits a bit harder but travels shorter so both moves have their uses
@@itzolie uchi is way more lethal with blood slash, I'm currently using chill mist for the magic damage and it's pretty damn good too.
Im amazed you didn't mention No Skill when you were at the warmaster. In all that footage you wouldn't need to spend time swapping to 2h to use your ash skills

The Meteor Blade has Gravitas on it I love using that I'm a dexterity mage so this blade and I forget the name but the dagger from the npc I love those.
The meteor blade is really good. Im dual weilding that and the Uchigatana with the skeleton armor.
I've been using the sacred blade Ash on my battle axe for most of the game, but now that I'm coming across some more magic I've been boosting my INT for some of the fun new spells I've found. Ive pretty much decided I'm gonna be keeping the battle axe for nostalgia and just swap out ashes for whatever enemies are in the area I'm on at the time. I know it's kind of a no-no to be a jack of all trades in these types of games, but hey, 1st character and 1st playthrough, you gotta try out some stuff for funsies

What happens if you apply sacred blade to an already holy weapon with faith scaling? does it increase the scaling and holy dmg?
Does it make sense as a melee to use INT/Faith Ashes, as they seem way more fun and do more damage?
He mentions the INT scaling on Blood Slash and Gravitas, but if I choose the Keen option to base weapon on DEX scaling would the ability damage also depend on Weapon Damage or is it always INT based?
Question, if I choose say carian blade as my ash of war could I still choose to scale it as a quality weapon? If I do that does the ash of war lose power?

Is it worth putting Sacred blade on the great sword. When I check to see what it we’ll do if I put it on it looks like it will weaken the weapon

Nope has made vids on this but what are some endgame or s rank weapons that can use ashes of war? I'd like to use the bloodhound ash to be a teleporting mage or different fun things to try. Or if there is a cheese to put it on a shield
Hey I take offense to that opening. That's Karas' spinning katana move although you can't make it fly around like Karas does. The opening fight in Karas is probably my favorite fight in anime ever.

I got gravitas before I even could use ashes of wars I didn’t realise it was so good I thought it wouldn’t be that good because the thing I got it off was easy to kill
Nobody mentions ground slam and it's broken OP. One slam will kill almost any normal enemy and sometimes several if they are grouped together, plus you get s at times during the animation.
Are you able to get spinning weapon after Rogier has disappeared from the hold? And no I do not have his belle bearing.

Frost stomp does explosive damage and you can cheese Radahn first phase easily

If you put an ashe of war on a weapon and desire you liked the default one it had better how do you take it off
If I have less INT, does the Carian Greatsword WEAPON ART does less damage? Not talking about the base weapon damage.
Apparently the Ashes of War damage scale directly from your actual weapon damage, so if you choose another scaling other than INT, it should be effective, as long as your weapon damage stat is good.

Does anybody know if the damage of gravitas scales with something else than your weapons level? With wisdom for example?
Scales with int
I've heard/read that Ashes of War scale with overall weapon damage, so when choosing your scaling, choose one ideal for your build preference. If you're not building for INT, use another scaling option, even standard, if that suits you better.

@@BW199 I believe Quality boosts both Strength and Dexterity scaling by a small amount. Standard keeps the weapon at its default scaling. Keen scaling would raise Dexterity considerably and decrease Strength considerably, and Heavy scaling does the opposite of Keen scaling. You have to look for different Whetblades to unlock different scaling options. There's one for each type of scaling, and I believe there is a scaling option for every offensive stat.

On my +16 lordsworns straight sword the bloody slash does 800+damage and does indeed proc bleed. Very good ash

How are you able to make your ashes scale with all those different stats? I just have specific stats based on the Ash of War i'm applying.
Eventually you get an upgrade after godrick that let's you choose the scaling

@@juniorelizondo4144 iron whetblade is in stormveil castle behind the stone key door, if you can't afford a stone key then there's a way to drop down to there if you go from the top of the tower where the bird bombers are, just follow the blood stains lmao

Too bad you cant double buff weapons with 2 arnaments. Also the gravitas dmg for a spellblade is rather weak and it doesnt scale. Unlike any on-hit as of war with scholars arnament

Don't need to bring him back. I killed him too, nice armor. He also dropped a bell. Give that bell to the twin merchant thing in the roundtable hold, that opens up his shop inventory for her. So feel free to kill patches too 🥳
Apparently, if you kill the Warmaster before fulfilling the quest he is involved in at Volcano Manor, you will be unable to get the Raging Wolf (Bloody Wolf) armor set, or so I've heard at least. He is involved with the last step required to complete the quest.
