I got a Samsung camera. I bought an adapter to use my Cano lenses to my Samsung and im loving it. Most of my videos are shot with this adapter 😀
+123edmurph Cool. Glad you're enjoying it!
Amazing video. I own a NX3000 that is my first camera ever. I'm trying acquire more lenses but in an affordable price. This adapter (and the ebay catalog) just gave me the light in the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much
+Rhamsés Soares You're welcome! Glad we could help.
Nevermind guys !! it was memory card issues. I try it with a new memory card and now everything works perfect. Thanks anyway. An thanks for these amazing adapters which allow us to interact with all kind of brands and tech. Love mixing new moderns cameras with vintage lenses.
Sorry we didn't get to you sooner, glad you figured it out!
Great information! Much needed.I have an Nx3300 and I'm looking forthe best autofocus in videos. Thank you!!! Great tips about vintage lenses! And such a cool name you have!!! #Subscribed
Hi Ava, thanks for the kind words. Bohus does have a pretty cool name :)
Can we see the focus peaking on canon Fd lenses while recording?
I was at first a Pentax user, but when the Fujifilm X-T1 came, I went for that from my Pentax K-5. The reason was that I had fallen in love with manual focus and had lots of old Pentax glass that was all manual. So I got the X-T1 and an adapter for it so I could use the K-mount lenses I had (K-mount is the Pentax mount, but I lenses from other brands as well with this mount), and it was amazing. When the NX1 came, I switched again due to the amazing video qualities (and peaking WHILE recording video). With Pentax and K-mount in general, there are tons of lenses available for purchase online for very little money with great quality, so also look into that. Fotodiox should make a K-mount adapter as well ;) Though several old Pentax (Takumar) lenses are M42. The older Pentax lenses has a mechanical aperture control like shown here, so you can either select aperture on the lens or on the adapter like shown here (clicky vs. non-clicky). Here is a good place to look for Pentax, and Pentax-compatible lenses: www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/
+Alexander Rex Evensen Hi Alexander. We love Pentax K glass too, and I'll make sure to pass your suggestion along. Check out our video featuring our PK to EOS adapter: ruclips.net/video/wEEVyb9n6xw/видео.html
Alexander, Samsung makes K-mount adapters for the NX cameras: www.samsung.com/us/photography/digital-cameras-accessories/ED-MA9NXK a little steep in price but I'm sure there must be some bargains online :) I hope it helps
Camilo Díez I know, but it's very expensive, and there is no electrical contact, so it's as manual as the others, so i went with something cheaper.
Speaking of, which one did you end up getting? I'm thinking of buying one but I'm not sure I should spend so much on the adapter. Also, the one you got, does it come with an actual optical element? or is it just the mount? Thanks in advance!
Camilo Díez I ended up with two. I first bought the Kiwifotos as I had one from then when I had the Fujifilm X-T1. Then I also got the Novoflex one. Cost a bit more and looks better, but they both work well, and both lets you control the aperture on the lenses. It's nice if you have newer K-mount lenses that has no aperture ring. For those with their own aperture rings, I prefer to use that, then I know which aperture I use, which I don't with the ring on the adapter. And there are no lense elements in these, just adapters. On the X-T1 I had a focal reducer (Zhongyi Lens Turbo, couldn't afford the Metabones Speed Boosters, but it worked very well). I was sad to realize that on the NX mount, it's not possible to have focal reducers due to flange distance, I really enjoyed having all lenses give me two fields of view. It is something that has made me more than once think about getting a Fujifilm X-T1 again just for photography :P
Awesome video, i just have one tiny question, I bought both this lens and the fotodiox adaptor, FD to NX, does the Canon 50mm f1.4 doesn't operate its aperture till the adaptor is locked, because I received the lens and it doesn't move its blades and I went through some forums and they said that this FD lenses doesn't operate till they are mounted on the adaptors as if they are mounted on their cameras??! Would really appreciate your reply on that...
And Many many thanks on this wonderful video....
Yes, you're right. You have to mount the FD lens on the adapter when its set to "install" and then turn the ring on the adapter to "lock" to engage the aperture. From there you can adjust the aperture manually on the lens itself.
Hey, do you guys make a C-NX adapter? or what I got a c-eos apter and hook it up to my Eos-NX adapter. Would that work?
We do! Here's the link: www.fotodioxpro.com/products/c-nx-pro
Hi everyone... so we got the adapter but the nx1 does not even turn off, it keeps on. I guess I need to set up the camera in the settings so I can use fd lenses properly with out any tech issues. Imagine that have to take the battery out of the camera in order to turn it off... So what to do with that??? Other than that everything is ok. Question: Does canon fd lenses match properly with Samsung NX1? The camera should turn off when turned it off... but it is not !!! weird !!! Any help will be great.
Hello. I recently buy a m42 to nx and i want to know what are those options that when they are activated don't let me shoot. Thanks
This video should help you out: ruclips.net/video/-Z6n2pw0kKU/видео.html
Is there any loss of light transmission (f stops) when the adapter is affixed onto an NX camera? I am interested in getting this FD to NX adapter for the same Canon FD f1.4 lens used in this video but I want to make sure that when it's installed on the NX camera, that it retains its f1.4 speed.
You won't lose any f/stops with this adapter.
Thanks for the quick response. I think I'll go ahead and order a Canon FD f1.4 on eBay ( though they are fetching for around $100 these days), no doubt finding a rejuvenation due to adapters like yours.
Yes, the price on those lenses tends to fluctuate a lot. It also depends on the seller.
I still need the AF
Unfortunately we don't offer any auto focus adapters for NX1 mount cameras at this time.
Could we get a NX to EOS adaptor?
We do make an adapter to mount a Canon EOS lens on an NX camera, but not the other way around because NX lenses have a smaller focal flange distance than Canon EOS cameras. Here's a link to the three versions of this adapter: fotodioxpro.com/search?type=product&q=eos+to+nx
hi.. that adapter, Does it work on the samsung nx500?
+musicjade6 Yes, it works on all NX mount cameras.
+Fotodiox Inc great!! thanks :)
Am I able to mount a canon zoom lens with that adapter on my nx1? If so, which lenses are the best?
+Kayla Nguyen Hi Kayla, with this adapter you'll need to use a Canon FD zoom lens, but if you want to use a modern Canon EOS zoom lens, we have an adapter for that too. I couldn't say which zoom would be best, but facebook groups are always a great place to start. Here's one I found that may have some answers for you: facebook.com/groups/820617884649899/
would I be able to adjust the aperture with the nx1 with this adapter?
+Kayla Nguyen With the FD to NX1 adapter featured in this video, you have to adjust the aperture manually on the lens. There's no electronic communication between the adapter and lens.
do you guys sell an adapter that fits on Nx lenses to canon t3i?
Hi Erik, unfortunately not. One of the issues you get with trying to mount a mirrorless lens on a DSLR is that there's just not enough distance between the lens and camera to get infinity focus.
Just do the booster for NX1 - I know that LucAdapters made NXL, but it is too expensive...
Wish we could support the NX line more, but since they stopped manufacturing the cameras we can't feasibly produce any new adapters for it.
