50Min Vinyasa Flow | Intermediate/ Advanced Creative Yoga Flow

  • Today's yoga practice is a super fun and sweaty 50 minute vinyasa flow filled with creative transitions and lots of arm balances like crow pose to headstand and funky 1 legged crow!
    Get ready to hop out of your comfort zone and onto the mat for a slow, mindful and incredibly strong yoga practice.
    As in all my vinyasa classes, we will be moving breath to movement, mindfully, through a series of poses and transitions designed to prepare you for the peak poses of the practice. Before reaching them we will warm up with sun salutations, forearm planks, and lots of crow poses amongst other things.
    I guarantee you will sweat and feel absolutely amazing after this challenging yoga flow!

    That was so fun! So challenging! I am a long way off from that arm balance as all I could do was collapse but I loved trying :) also pistol squat I can’t even lift up 2 inches when holding my foot - maybe someday :) I love the way you teach :) thank you for sharing with us :)💙

    Thanks for the class, Emilie! These days, my chronic pain has been treating me rather unfairly, so I wasn't really in the mood for this. I started quite halfheartedly, but as I got into it, thanks to your creative and interesting movements, it ended up being a positive session! The advanced crow exercise was a bit of a mess, though; I'll need to work on that one! Namaste 🙏

      @@yogawithemilie I've been suffering from it for about 10 years, primarily in my lower back on the right side, specifically in the QL area. However, what helps the most is releasing the gluteus medius. Although the right medius is always overly tight and never really releases completely. I've seen countless physical therapists, had MRI's, and more, but there's been little to no relief. When it's bad, like it is now, the pain stretches down to my right knee and up to my shoulders and neck as well.
      I believe there are various reasons behind it, both physical and psychological. Stress and anxiety certainly act as triggers. I experience significantly less pain when I'm happy and carefree.

      @@Markbarr9 I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope that one day you can find some relief 🙏 I dont want to give unsolicited advice but have you ever tried dry needling? It has helped me a lot with pain that physios could never treat, just an idea but you've probably already thought of everything..
      Otherwise I think you're totally right, the mind and body connection cannot be overlooked. I'm glad you're showing up here and doing yoga and taking care of your mental wellbeing 🤗 hope you have a wonderful restful weekend 🙏🙏⭐

      @@yogawithemilie I hope so too! And yes, dry needling is great! It's one of the most effective things I've tried, and I go for it from time to time when it gets really bad. Though it provides only temporary relief and can be a bit expensive. I'm still searching for the root cause for a more permanent solution😊

    Yes another good class. Flow is not fast anymore . So I think someone who is at the intermediate level can follow it very easily, dont scared 😉😊. I enjoyed the session very much. Good one to strengthening your arms and core🤩. Thank you for sharing and Namaste Emilie 🙏🏼😌🥰

    Bonjour Emilie, si tu es au Luxembourg tu parles français (otherwise, I'll translate this comment into english) 😉 Et on a bien reconnu les sirènes luxembourgeoises, bien + fortes que les françaises !
    J'ai a-do-ré ce cours, créatif, avec de la mobilité et de la force, des transitions sympas. Eka pada bakasana est hors de ma portée (pb d'épaules), donc je travaillais EPK2 pendant la peak pose. Nouvelle abonnée (de Metz, nous sommes presque voisines !) 🙏
