I have a bed protector already installed but I want a bed rug. Will I have a hard time installing this?

My ZR2 Colorado came from the factory with a spray on bed liner , How well does the Velcro stick to it?

Should be just fine, make sure you clean it off well so there's not dirt or residue before sticking the adhesive backing down!

I don't know what was available 3 years ago; however, I read either on the BedRug's or a dealer's website that there is an adhesive promoter you can get to make the included hook and loop strips with adhesive backing stick better to a sprayed-on bed liner.

Why didn’t you show the zipping process to zip the two pieces together - including the last bit where the zipper loops around and is physically impossible to complete??

I puzzled over that for a while, too, and finally just stopped when the zipper pull would go no further. My thought was that maybe BedRug-the company, that is-made it that way to give the zipper pull a place to hide? Seems to me like there's a better way to end the zipper.

Water is going to come in from those tie-down plugs unless sealed then you are going to have a water mold problem ✌️

      Grant,
The BedRug is actually resistant to mold. The water will not harm the bed or BedRug at all. I have one in my vehicle and love it!

I agree, had one for years in my colorado and no mold at all.

There is another video by RealTruck of an installation by the same installer which shows him removing the bolted-on tie-down hooks before final installation of the sideboards.. He then used an awl to make small holes in the BedRug liner where the bolts are located and inserted the bolts through the liner so the tie-down hooks are on the outside of the BedRug liner with no open slit.
