  • See the BedRug get put to the Test! The Bedrug® truck bed liner greatly enhances the appearance of your truck while protecting the bed. It is non-abrasive, skid-resistant, and provides a cushioned ride for delicate cargo. This durable liner is made from 100% polypropylene and is capable of hauling stone, mulch and other construction products. Nothing can hurt it - bleach, battery acid and oil just wash off. Easily cleaned with a garden hose or power washer, the foam used is closed-cell (similar to life jackets) so it doesn't absorb water and dries rapidly when it gets wet. Best of all BedRug products are backed with a limited lifetime warranty and install in as little as 30 minutes. This next generation of bedliner has it all.....LOOKS - COMFORT - DURABILITY.

    Yes it looks good and functions well. Kind of. Lessons learned from a guy who uses a truck bed as intended. Had it for a year or so now. 1. The material cannot handle excessive heat, it will melt. (I haven't personally melted mine). 2. In the winter in New England, snow and ice form between the tailgate and bed. Try to drop the tailgate when this BedRug is frozen. I cringe and hold my breath each time. I have to pull the tailgate with excessive force. 3. It tears. It won't withstand a pallet of material being pushed into it. I should have placed a piece of plywood on the floor first, but I thought the forklift operator would be skilled enough to load the flooring without dragging the pallet. I was gonna off load it by hand anyway.
    I've ripped it on two separate occasions, and I called BedRug for a recommendation for repair. There was none. I duct taped it from underneath, reaching inside the wound and laying 3-4 slightly overlapping strips below the tear. I approximated the edges from the topside and pressed them down onto the sticky-up side of the duct tape, then sealed the lacerations with liberal amounts of "Bish's Original Tear Mender" a fabric and leather adhesive. Works well. Actually works magically. I took a grey sharpie and colored the incision. 4. It collects a lot of debris. Pine needles; soil; sand; you name it. If you want it to keep looking good you have to vacuum it. Sweeping it doesn't get the crud out of the fibers. If you buy a BedRug, I recommend buying a Husky bed mat (or whatever meets your needs) and place it on the bed floor. Then you can use your truck betterer.
    Just my 2 cents. Advice is free.

    I had one installed within weeks of buying my 2011 Nissan Frontier and 10 years later still looks new! I wouldn't own a truck without one.

    BedRug is awesome! I bought one within weeks of purchasing my new 2009 GMC Canyon Crew Cab. I say weeks because the truck came with a hard factory liner so I thought cool. Not cool beause within two weeks my bed was showing scruff marks. I threw the thing in the woods behind my house because it was defeating the purpose. In comes the BedRug. I used it for three years fully exposed to the elements. I hauled motorcycles, ATVs, boards, bricks, etc. I would sweep it and vacuum it out. Once a year I would take it to the local self serve car wash to foam it up and blast it out. It would take one day tops to dry out. After those first three years I pulled the BedRug up to find an immaculate bed. No damage, no rust, no nothing. In 2012 I needed to turn my truck into a car because of my growing family. I bought a soft tonneau cover and I've been running it ever since. I personally think this is the best combo with the BedRug. I can roll back and carry my ATV or use it as a trunk. It's very flexible.

    I just bought a 2017 Ford F150 lariat with a camper on it and it has this bed rug in it and it does look good I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it I’ve never had anything like this in the back of one of my trucks and it is comfortable on your knees. But it’s good to know that you can wash it out and it should not stain

    Two questions. 1: can you use it with a tonneau cover and 2. how does it stand up to snow and ice?

    • @gregjarman2583
      @gregjarman2583 3 года назад

      1:Yes, I work at a shop where we install these and you can use them with Tonneaus or Caps.
      2: They hold up really well. if you live in a state where they salt, you might get salt dust on the fibers, but they can be rinsed off pretty easy with a decent pressure hose nozzle, and maybe a bit of brushing for ground in stuff.
      Never had any issues with mine, even with their universal cut to fit ones.

    You mention that it will stand-up to all kinds of things and that it will not fade. You briefly mention briefly that it will not fade at the end of the video. No real mention about sun exposure. As a result, please let me clarify then. Are you saying your product WILL NOT fade within time due to exposure to sun? Lastly, what if your bed had been previously sprayed (Rhino type product) and is faded will your Velcro type adhesive still stick and remain in tack without coming up within time? Thank you.

    • @bedrugvideos
      @bedrugvideos  10 лет назад

      1. Michael, we have done extensive testing on the product...BedRug is made up of High UV resistant polypropylene fibers that have been tested to an Automotive standard. 2.It will stick as long as an adhesive promoter is used and the area is prepped properly and the the promoter is installed correctly.

    Just ordered one for the Avalanche. My question is do I put this over the rubber mat that comes with Avalanche or do I put this directly onto the metal bed. I have been given two different answers by two different sources. What would you guys recommend?

    • @bedrugvideos

    • @drudru5992
      @drudru5992 7 лет назад

      For the Avalanche you have to put on the hard factory rubber mat. This is a good thing allowing excellent protection against any denting on the bed flooe

    what's preventing water from getting in between the liner and the truck bed? if the water pools beneath the liner won't it cause rusting?

    • @Joshua79C
      @Joshua79C 7 лет назад

      Far as I know most boxes as they are technically called and commonly beds, come with drain holes, so if water gets nderneat it wont stay around long, if it pools up because those holes got or were purposely plugged then you just go up a hill to let the water drain out, and also evaporation.

    • @gregjarman2583
      @gregjarman2583 3 года назад

      There really shouldn't be much water that makes it past the foam under the bedrug, but what does would bascially drain just like normal: throug the factory bed drain holes.
      If you run even a pretty basic roll up cover, the amount of water that makes it in in bascially a non issue.

  • @brandonhollier9841
    @brandonhollier9841 9 лет назад +3

    What about drainage if it rains?

    • @jermaximus
      @jermaximus 9 лет назад +2

      Brandon Hollier Agreed. Does the water go underneath the liner via the zipper?? Then does the water just sit between the liner and the bed waiting to smell or rust...
      I like the idea behind this a lot, but does anyone know the answer to my concerns?

    • @joesphx19

    • @bedrugvideos
      @bedrugvideos  8 лет назад +1

      +Jeremy Anchondo, +joesphx19 ... Water will simply run off the surface, through the zippered perimeter, out the factory drain holes in the truck bed and will dry in as little as 20 minutes!

    • @Hundert1
      @Hundert1 5 лет назад

      @@nonstopcontracting4894 Exactly, like in the winter. I'm sure with the constant ice, snow, sleet, rain, and only a couple of days here and there of warmer days there's gonna be lots of dampness in between the bedrug and the truck. Hmmm

      did you install it over your sprayed in bed liner? I would think it should work as the sprayed liner is pretty secure to the bed and the rug is glued and velcroed to the spray liner.

    Bed rug don't make a bed rug for the ram 2500 3500 with ramboxes and 6.4 bed yet they make it for the 1500 with the 5.7 rambox bed. You can't be a leader in bed protection and not make a bed rug for certain beds on the best selling truck in America!!! Bad move im going to go on every forum and every social media group and complain!!

    • @gregjarman2583
      @gregjarman2583 3 года назад +1

      They do make bedrugs for the best selling truck in America, my Ford one is great! :P
      but for real, the Ram box does interfere with a ton of accesories, the lions share of new Rams are bought without it as well, so most accesory makers choose to prioritize those.
      eventually im sure they will make a version to accomidate the Rambox, they did for the 2019-2021 *classic* model year, but I sympathise with your frustration

      Hook and loop fastening = Remove then reinstall in minutes, going from the closed end and pulling out to the back to shake out the dirt, sand or other aggregates. Like he said the other liners can cause or require scuffing over time and you saw him do a short install demo clearly showing it can be easily removed and put back in once installed.
