Some things from other videos and my own experience are put the tie down and Box Link screws back into the holes. That makes it easier to cut the locations. Using the small Velcro at the top of the front header leaves the long white strip to be used at the sides by the tailgate. That gives a more finished look. The fastening locations should be wiped with isopropyl alcohol so the Velcro stays adhered.

You didn't reinstall the tie downs!

I say a bedbug with a hard topper is a great idea. If you're using the bed for actual hauling wood, rock etc I think spray in is the best way

I wanted one when we bought our king ranch F150 back in 2016 but was on the fence. Our local Line-x dealer just had a "inventory reduction" auction. Basically the way he worked is he ordered the items for customers then made an install appointment. A lot of people never showed but the items did and they just went in a warehouse at his shop. He had no inventory system so these things never got sold. He did really well with this auction as auctions go. I got my hard rolling tonneau and a bed rug. Both new in the box. $160 total.

Thanks for this. A couple notes for potential buyers. I installed this product when I bought my truck (new) in 2016. After about six years, the center of the floor started showing wear. Since I rarely haul anything, the wear was mostly due to UV. At the seven year mark some small areas wore through. Know that I babied this - using a blanket or sheet when loading firewood, etc. Bedrug would not give a discount on a replacement since I bought mine at eBay. Regardless - I liked the product well enough to purchase another. It's much better for crawling around back there and for sleeping (better still with a backpack mattress). One more thing, the wind buffeting the tailgate portion causes it to flap around a bit. I ended up purchasing some additional Velcro to help with that.

While it's said you can use it without a cap or a Tonto cover (as the wife says) I certainly wouldn't.

Wow, what a rush job! Watched others install and talked about the box link attachments and what about the bed lights and on off button

This would be good if you have a canopy on the back of your truck and use the bed to sleep in while on the road, camping or hunting.

Definitely easier to zip together outside of the truck on a flat surface

So, what happened to the tie-down points? What if you have a rear gate step system?

Can I use this along with the barricade retractable cover? Any mods needed for the cover or bed rug to fit properly? Thx.

So no more cargo cleats? That sucks.

Nah, before you install the bedrug, you put the screws for the cleats back in the hole and leave them about 1/4 inch from flush. When you get the bedrug set in the truck, feel for the screws and use a punch awl to put a hole where the screw is. Back the screws out and use the holes you just made to install the cleats over the bedrug. It actually helps to snug it up.

Great instructions. However, I would recommend zipping the parts together on the ground and placing you Velcro on as well. Then move it to the truck. It was much easier with my method. I also stretched my tailgate piece tight and have zero issues. Take your time. It’s simple to do. I will have a tonneau cover so I’m not worried about moisture. It does get extremely hot in the open sun @ 85 degrees.

@@kovacs01 thanks for your comment. I would definitely want those cleats back in there

How durable is it? Could you put something with a sharp edge like a tool box in it without cutting into the rug?

What do you mean by "A little bit wet"? The truck is going to be exposed to the elements.
