"treat the dango gently, like your first date." excellent advice Francis!
That feeling when no first date :(
Terence Foo No first date? Treat yourself gently. >_o
I was falling asleep and that comment woke me right up when I heard it!
These look perfect! I can't wait to try making them. :)
emmymadeinjapan. Please do these emmy!!!
Omg I found Emmy. 4 year old comment too.
@@buki123 lmao
I'm surprised this comment has so few likes
Is the skin really that thick in Japan? That's super thick.
The freshly-made gooey Goma Dango are delicious but the anko inside is piping hot so be careful not to burn your tongue. Alternatively, you can use pumpkin or sweet potato paste instead of bean paste. (^^) 揚げたてのごま団子はもっちりしていて美味しいです。出来たては中がとても熱いので火傷しないように注意して下さいね。あんの代わりにかぼちゃやさつまいものペーストでも作れます。(*^^*)
Delicious!
Mmm...Looks so delicious! ☺
i used to like this a lot (i still enjoy it..) but i now prefer the ones without fillings and have an empty center.
Sweet potato sounds like an awesome idea!
OH MY GAWD thank you for this one.... these are like my favorite snacks.
Treat the dango gently like a first date.
Oh sassy Francis! I love you xD
I laughed my head off at that.
me too! lol
At first I freaked out because I thought Francis was replaced by a stuffed animal lol
Same D:
I was so afraid he was ill or passed away! Then I saw him next to chef and felt so relieved.
***** lacist
Me too
I was all "Where's Fran...Oh!" LOL
These sound really great! Francis is looking fabulous as always! :)
Donal Skehan woa
I definitely don't want the sesame coating coming off on my first date, thanks Francis.
I've had these at Asian bakeries and they are FABULOUS.
My mom used to make this before. As the filling, she cooked coconut flakes with brown sugar~
oooo that sounds so good :O
I think that's a different kind of snack thou. considering the food that you are thinking is green and filled with coconut/brown sugar right? That's a malay snack :) So it's kind of different from what you are imagining.
No. Im talking about this 'kuih' actually. But my mom made with coconut. I also know the kuih you're talking about, buah melaka right? Haha. Im talking about kuih bijan/bom, my mom version. Hahah!
I love the tiny sesame balls. Its crunchy and sweet hehe!
You're right. this is very identical to Kuih Bom - a malay delicacy. hahaha. i didn't know even the Japanese have their own version of that kuih. and kuih bom is slightly bigger than the goma dango that the chef made i think.
Thank you so much for this collaboration! I love this recipe, my mum often made these exact same sesame balls when I was small and it reminds me of all the dinner parties at home ^_^.
Omg
"Treat it gently like your first date"

Francis is always so well behaved, and super cute! These Goma Dangos reminds me of my childhood so much, can't go wrong with sweet red bean paste, my favourite filling, along with black sesame paste, yum!
