AWD GTS owner here. We debated between it and a GT2, and the dealer's price on the GTS made sacrificing a few of the GT2's options worth it, with the added benefit of the GTS AWD's method of displacing more power to the rear for "drift" mode. Very very happy with the purchase and love the color.
Do you still own it? How's the reliability been, my aunt bought a 21 here a while back and ended up selling it back to the dealer just because she wanted something different but I've been a big fan of them and I was looking at getting a GTS in this exact color do because it's gorgeous, but I was just curious how the reliability has been and cost of maintenance and such?
@Jsv_1021O4 we sold ours back to dealer as well when the market was hot. But, in the time we did own it, it was a very solid car, especially if putting winter tires on it for snow. With two exceptions: I had to pad a spot in the rear trunk lid that was known to have a rattling sound (very easy to do, and info is out there on forums); but more seriously, another known issue for that production run was that each spark plug from the factory would crack one-by-one over time, with each requiring replacement under warranty. When this happened, the vehicle was still drivable for emergency distance, since it had 5 other functional cylinders, but as soon as that engine light came on wanted to make sure to get it in the shop before the cracked plug became more serious. We went through this 3 times (3 different new-from-factory spark plugs for 3 different cylinders) with the GTS before we sold it. If buying a used GTS, I'd inquire if the spark plugs have all been replaced, and if not, request that they are, or do it yourself after purchase.
I've wanted a Stinger for the past 3 years, since its first inception. After my V6 Challenger I swore I would get one, and I recently did (Stinger GT). Couldn't be any happier

Just purchased this car yesterday had a wonderful experience at Demontrond Automotive Group in Houston. Our salesman Fabian was extremely professional and efficient. The car (2020 GT2 Stinger white / red interior) was a dream to drive back home. After a 350 mile drive back home, here is my impressions of the vehicle. Lots of lookers and thumbs up, solid car, quick on the pedal, great mpg and quiet interior. Very smooth driving vehicle, the overall quality I liked. Awesome sound system is phenomenal. My overall experience with this car A+. First time Kia buyer here now I am sure not the last. Thanks Guys.
I have a GT1 for a year and a half and has been the best car among all my cars (12 in 16 years). Great performance, Dynamics and reliability. Many people asked me about this car. Now I will trade it for a micro blue GT2 with more features like auto tailgate and a head-up display. Good job Kia!
I do own an AWD 2019 GTS! To go into Drift Mode is easy! Sport Mode all Nannies OFF then put into manual mode! Keep in mind you WILL have to change gears by way of the paddle shifters! There YOU go!
Love the sound when you close the doors on this car, solid but yet soft on the ear.. decent quality, really upped their game Kia haven't they, and thanks to you we can never miss on the best car-door-closing-sounds super sedans out there!
I love my GT AWD. I wouldn’t buy this because of the steering wheel. I hate that fake suede. But that’s just a personal preference. The only real knock on the car is the front seats have zero foot room under them so it makes the back seat more cramped than it should be. But it’s crazy fast. The mileage is fine. Utility is more than adequate and it goes in snow. I love mine.
Most people don't know that Alcantara is not a material. It is the name of the company that makes the material, which is a micro-suede, made of mostly polyester. It is not a super high quality material like everyone makes it out to be. As he said it wears down, and gets dirty very quickly.
That’s a sweet engine note. Sounds a little like old school 5cyl Audi-similar harmonic thrum sound. The Stinger looks great. But it’s more car than I need, or am able to stretch the legs on due to where I live. I bought a 2003 Silverado in California in a similar orange. It even shocked me when I bought it. But I got used to it quick and people always said how much they liked it. Thanks for another great video.

Drift mode won't show up on any display when active, but supposedly to activate (while in sport mode) you just push and hold the traction control button for 3 seconds and that should send all power to the rear wheels.
Not sure why a GT car like this would benefit from the crackles from the exhaust. I certainly don’t miss that. Maybe I’m just older at 47. To me 1.5 years+ later, this is still by far the best value there is for the money. I have the GT2 AWD in black with the red Napa leather interior. Have had 1 issue that required maintenance in that time period, so much more reliable than any BMWs or Audis I’ve owned. I still get stopped more often than I have with any car I’ve owned because this car is still beautiful.
The interior looks basic now. It needs an update with LED ambient lighting if it doesn't have that already, diamond quilted Nappa leather seats or at least a better design for the seats beyond basic horizontal lines, a digital gauge cluster, & a 9-10" touchscreen as standard on some trims & optional on others. The 8" screen should be standard since it's only 1 inch bigger & the Forte & Altima both come standard with an 8" screen. It needs some more grandeur in the interior if it really wants to compete with luxury import models from the Germans & Japanese brands.
