Thank you kind sir. Why this wasn't specified in the actual tutorial I have no idea - just spent ages looking for this only to find it in the comments. You're a legend :)
Except my folder got only T-pose subfolder. no A-pose. The CC3 is up to date. reallusion hub up to date :/ what gives? Also: failed to load character. no suitable setup found.
Also there is this video showing "2011 - Binary", It was recorded just 8 days after this one. I'm guessing its not supposed to be ASCII because he shows it that way in the video, but doesn't really mention it. ruclips.net/video/_GXotwknHbA/видео.html
Hi there, Genesis 8 to cc3, everything looks fine in Daz, but when imported I always end up with the arm pits being stretched (incorrect weighting). Has anyone found a setting which fixes this?
hi I would like to purchase the $ 399.00 Digital Human Animation Suite package, what do I find inside? how does it work, to have some characters I have to buy them apart?
Hi there, I have many extra morphers for my Daz characters - But when I export my final character to CC3 - Many of the 'extra' morphs do not import? Please help, thanks!!
daz hair and the polys = destroy mode :D any way to reduce them for game characters? thats rlly high counts but i tryed anything to reduce them. it will safe destroy any detail of the hairs :/ but cant put a 500k tris character inside unity xD
You can try using the auto poly reduction tools inside CC3 (instalod) but results can vary depending how much you're reducing it. If it's for a main character, you can get away with a lot of polys these days. For example, Aloy's hair from Horizon Zero Dawn is around 100,000 triangles. And yes, that's just the hair. Of course 500k is a bit excessive. Try automatically reducing to say 50k to see how it goes.
Character creator is very hardware dependant. And when there are too many triangles, the software becomes choppy. Most of the time, for me, is due to the high tri-count of HAIRS or FURS on clothing. I just remove these and try to use others. Too bad Daz doesn't show the polycount of each product, it would help people like us to buy wisely.
You can also try lowering the quality of the viewport. I personally like mine set on 'high'. Anything that makes the program choppy, I try not to use. Running with AMD Ryzen 9 3900X@4GHz / 64GB RAM / RTX 2700S
1:57 I think there is a step that he skipped. This is my method of importing. You have to select [Texture Profile] and chose "G8Female_TextureProfile.ini" or a different profile if importing another type. Then you have to select [Texture Folder] and navigate to the folder of your saved Daz character. In this folder you will find [yourFileName.fbm] folder. Select this folder for the [Texture Folder] Now select OK and all should be okay.
love the software, hate these tutorials. every episode seems to assume you know have prior knowledge of a different aspect of the character creation process
@@noiseworks \\ Sorry, I misunderstood your question. The geo-shell is actually imported as an accessory where the offset is pretty bad. so the only way I know so far is by manual adjustment. What I do is, for example, if I have a geo-shell on the whole body, 1. import as usual (an accessory) 2. go to Modify tab -> Motion Pose -> Edit Pose. And edit my character as best possible to match the geo-shell. 3. go to Modify tab -> Attribute -> Transfer Skin Weight to default (or what matches your best shape, if yours only have hands -> gloves would be best, if foot -> shoes, etc) 4. go to Modify tab -> Attribute -> Conform -> Enable Conforming -> Increase size (if necessary) -> Calculate Collision (a few times as needed) It's not straight forward, but works for me. Perhaps Reallusion can give us a more straight forward method. =D
Daz Resource Folder DOES NOT exist. I literally have bought every plugin for CC3 and iClone. Why don't I have this folder? For anyone wondering, it's in the Character Creator 3 TEMPLATE folder. NOT the Program folder like he said.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Template\Character Creator 3 Template\DazResource It's there. Why they hide it in the template folder is a mystery to me.
The skin and texturing controls are much deeper and robust than those available in DAZ (though I'm not sold on the new teeth!). However, the mesh of the male character at the beginning is pretty awful. (He IS supposed to be human, right?!) DAZ Genesis 8 figures are very high quality and certainly more attractive than that poor guy! Additionally, there are many addons/plugins which expand things like expressions, features and body types.
I dread this guy's tutorials. He talks so fast (very rushed), jumps steps and slurs some of his words. Very, very difficult to follow. Please SLOW down, speak more CLEARLY, and go through each of the steps more deliberately.

This is truly amazing. I see so much potential in this
Why FBX 2012 ASCII and not FBX 2011 Binary? If anyone knows.
Is it possible to download the program for free in the modern version?
when i convert daz to cc3+ character will not close eyes fully, its close half eye, how to fix this
Go up the top left menus to modify, or create, I forget which, and look for 'fix eyeblink' in the menu, that usually fixes the problem.

It asks me for an FBX key every time.

Same.

I can't find the a pose folder
2:07 The A-pose folder can be found by clicking "Get A Pose for CC3+".
Keep a shortcut to this folder in your desktop (or somewhere else).
Very cool
have looked everywhere, cant find path to the resource folder with a pose in?
He Literally told you how to get the A Pose duf file bro

If you can't find it go to your order history and click on download for CC3 and you will see the pipeline extension there.

will this import geometry shells correctly?
The Daz shell is 'converted' to CC3+ shell.
So it is not exactly the same.

Come to think of it, after step #2, I will save the Pose as "Daz geoshell pose" so I can reuse when importing future geo-shells.
