Honestly this is crazy u don’t know the struggle I been working to do this and 2 days ago I figured it out and now this tutorial! Lol 😂 thanks so much bc know I can see how to do it the right way! 🙏
Amazing video thank you. I've created clothing and imported hair and shoes etc.. but now I know how to truly add the content to my library the correct way so i can reuse easily. Thanks again
Another thing if you want to bring in clothes from Daz, you can do the same mothed in this video instead of bringing in your clothing with the transform tool.
@@MrCalmwaters112 I had a dress that i wanted from Daz, brought it through transformer the dress was all messed up, and it was beyond repair, well at least for me because i don't have any skill in modeling so that was a dud. So i tried bringing it in as a accessory (upper left click create) and it came through flawless even the hair too. try it for yourself and see.
Thanks Kai, I find that the hardest part is when you bring gloves. It would wonderful if you had a video showing how you rig gloves correctly in CC4 :)
Thanks for this tutorial. I am having an issue that I can't figure out. At the 1:53 mark of the video it says to hit the extract mesh button. My extract mesh is grayed out. How can I fix that?
I really hope you will soon have a custom cloth preset for Human IK (HIK) characters so creatures etc can have cloth created between importing custom. It would allow any user to create clothing unique to the model. Maybe leave it open to a user to try and decide if it will work on their own creatures/human like characters or provide a locked cloth format based on the number of character's verts.
Hi @kugatuka, The ""unwanted mesh"" mentioned in the video refers to the ""jacket"" in this outfit. Since the character already has multiple layers of clothing, the jacket wasn’t converted into CC content for demonstration purposes.
hello i have a program called reality capture it's 3d modelling software very good for buildings and other stuff , i tried to scan my friends face with it with my i phone , is it possible to transfer fbx file of a human head from reality capture to cc4 ?
I tried this and i even used the same model. the textures did not auto import and I not sure what I'm did wrong but I can not figure out how to add parts that where missed. Like I see you do with the hat.
I would like to know how I can correct the error in the armpits in the T pose, for the clothes that the fabric stretches, is there anything not to happen?
it was very easy before to make clothes, hair, etc to our characters. Now, "Transfer Skin Weights" button is lost in character creator 4. Many people in blogs are lost with this feature. I did read the documentation but it still so difficult to achieve.
Seems to be outdated, because some of the menu items shown simply do not exist for me. Unfortunately worthless in this form and I'm slowly starting to ask myself whether buying this software was actually a good idea...
There is also the not supported function of binding custom body parts (prop or accessories) as sub items to bones of non native cc / humanoid characters.. can you help us out developing this function?
My issue is I can't split the items fully, they appear separate in teh content manager but the program still only accepts them as a single item for any actions

Ok great! NOW where is the same tutorial on how to add an accessory to your CC4, C C 4 base character model??? Please tell me this is still possible with CC4 custom imported and AccuRigged characters....
@@von.3d I wonder why this can't be done. CC4 has no problem generating a skeleton for a custom character, but it cannot assign an additional object to the same bones? Weird. I hope they add this feature soon.
@@Michal.P.P. same thoughts. Its definitely weird. What I did was do what I needed to do in CC4 like adding the facial profile shape keys, then I'll just finish the wardrobe inside blender
This is absolutely a huge time saver. One thing I don't understand is how to determine when an item should be categorized as an accessory. For example, why is the hat an accessory? I understand why the mustache is an accessory because it doesn't conform to the face as a normal beard hair mesh would. I purchased a long female hair from the marketplace that is classified as an accessory, which I believe may be what is making it difficult to use. The hair is clipping through the body and face like crazy. Maybe repeating the conform function as shown in this video would help. idk. From this video, I also realized it is attached to the mid bone instead of the head bone, so I need to change that. Could the accessory classification contribute to the issues I'm having with this hair mesh? Would reclassifying it as hair make a difference? Thanks, smart people.

Holy moly this is exactly what I was looking for. And this alone makes this worth purchasing.
Video is a great help, thanks a lots, I have just started making my own cloths and props in blender. Cheers from Scotland.
This is what I was waiting for. Thanks for Sharing. Please more Content like this
This is the best tutorial so far. Please make more like this, and import into UE5
This tutorial is GREATLY appreciated!
Really looking forward to a sequel to this vid that goes into more detail on fixing subsequent mesh issues.
Amazing video thank you.

CC is really kicking it into next gear.
Great content in this video. I wasn't actually looking for this when I searched, but it would have been on my list.
Another thing if you want to bring in clothes from Daz, you can do the same mothed in this video instead of bringing in your clothing with the transform tool.
Why would you want to do that when transformer will bring in all the clothing exactly the way it is meant to be

This is what I was looking for. Would love to see export examples. To UR5 with animation.
And to unity with animation
Thanks for this tutorial much appreciated 👍👌
Thx this is awesome
I don't see anything that says Export Mesh
Great tutorials, however I have an issue, I have no 'Extract mesh' option? Trying to seperate cloth items with no luck
Almost none of this works in the way shown.
In the end, I'm standing there with lots of mesh errors and a belt that's floating in space...
Thanks for this tutorial. I am having an issue that I can't figure out. At the 1:53 mark of the video it says to hit the extract mesh button. My extract mesh is grayed out. How can I fix that?
same
I'm missing exactly these two buttons (and only these two) "Extract Mesh" and "Delete Face".
How can I show these? Please help!

My extract mesh button is locked for some reason... Do you know anything about that?
at 2:25, what does "unwanted mesh" include? is it objects that will be simulated in an engine afterwards or objects that you are fully getting rid of?
Hi @kugatuka,
The ""unwanted mesh"" mentioned in the video refers to the ""jacket"" in this outfit. Since the character already has multiple layers of clothing, the jacket wasn’t converted into CC content for demonstration purposes.

Released one year ago and they already removed the Extract Mesh button with no update to the tutorial?

Non-Standard (Humanoid) characters may not utilize CC cloth system. Thus Transfer Weight is not applicable.

Great!!
When importing clothing models do Create / Accessory. They changed it in an update

I have tried several ways to import my clothing asset and there is no option for transferring skin weights no matter what I try
Благодарю за интересное видео пояснение
This is great - but where did the Hide Mesh go in CC4?
1:46 Edit Mesh > Visible Brush > Hide

I want to put a superhero suit on in my character could this video help?
Does CC4 support UDIMS for clothing and Accessories?
Are you able to create any environments in CC?
how to make fbx Cloth.json file please help me
I don't have the transfer skin weights... why?

could you share your link cc3.4 and iclone 8 for us

Because hat and moustache don't need skin weight, they are categorized as accessories.
Hi How do I delete scenes that I don whant
You can open the Scene Manager to select the object you don't want and delete it
what happens when the gear set is to big for character? her feet and head are not level shes in the middle of it lol
It'd be better if CC allows us to export the clothes separately as FBX files.
Now we have to export them with character mesh.
If only it was cheaper to buy so I could afford it.
It's was be better when CC4 will have mirror editing for bones
I long for that. The CC bone edit tool is great for CC4 generated rigs but for imported characters (like ones from UE4) its such a pain.
this softwre is a crap. Not freindly at all once you decide to use a custom character. (humanoid or creature) Not possible to apply cc cloths

mine cc4 dont show "transfer skin"....
