No literally, I think it’d sell out and get even more popular. They need to put the 3rd season in it as well so we can battle Zone.

really glad I stumbled onto this! this was one of my favourite ds games and I still play it occasionally. I stopped playing real yugioh at the end of the Syncro monsters era and I do not understand at all what is happening rn, so being able to go back to this game is really appreciated. and the yeah, the music is lit af!

My friends were the prime demographic for these games, but somehow we got into Spectrobes instead... Anyways, great vid. Its interesting to see that they actually implemented the Turbo duels, along with all of the "fake" speed spells.

I do agree it is interesting, especially considering this is the first YGO video game to have such a feature (next to the Wii game Wheelie Breakers)

I remember the spy missions where you had to be stealth mode or youd start from the beginning. It was so hard like wtf, was that actually for kids 😂😂
Still enjoyed the game but damn it was hard. Loved these games a lot.

Based game, music, anime, can't go wrong 🏍🌌 Jack's theme dueling him, as well as against Yusei himself goes especially hard. Wish i could have gotten the Japanese version for the MC announcer.
~I do however wish things were a honeybee's nipple slightly more obvious so you don’t run around aimlessly sometimes.

Stardust Accelerator: The one that without an Action Replay you will be grinding for 3 times longer than you need to. BS difficulty spikes with a starter deck that is as effective as a piece of paper compared to your opponent which has cards that you will crap your pants facing without 100%-ing the card pack sets you have access to which are pre-synchro era and not as fast without defeating npcs 5 times each to unlock more packs and more World championship duelists to get access to even more packs by defeating them. Still playing through the early story and waiting to softmod my 3ds to get access to AR to get infinite DP so I don't have the problems of not having the cards I need to build something decent. I used to have the AR back then, but I lost the first one and the second one shorted itself out only after a month of use so this is my only option to enjoy it. With my current deck and level of collection without an AR I have had to farm the easiest duelists over 100 times to get a chance at getting some good cards. Anything more than Ojama or Rally's deck is a coin flip to whether I can beat them down or they beat me up at this stage and it frustrates me that they get their "heart of the cards draws" and are almost psychic in plays (rubberbanding) while you get the opposite luck of the draw almost all the time.
Reverse of Arcadia: The one that you get a decent synchro deck to actually work with and get decent cards from starting packs, but you still kind of need an AR to get enough DP to stay competitive with the difficulty curve. Beat all duelists 5 times or you won't get more packs to spend your DP on and WC duelists which you also need to defeat 3 times or more for more packs which otherwise limits your options for late and endgame. Being able to replay the story with existing data was excellent and I'm glad they put it in so you can play the story, IMO the best story of the series, again.
Over the Nexus: The most fair of the starts, comparatively speaking, with a starter synchro deck that can kick butt and you have access to even more powerful cards than the previous game from the start in packs. There is still a lot of grinding and the story is roughly based on events after the Reverse of Arcadia era. AR for DP, but otherwise still able to replay the story and experience it again. I haven't played that story all the way through, but it doesn't seem as grand as the previous one.

I’m gonna have to emulate this one and build my own deck because I tried playing with just the crappy starter deck and I couldn’t get past the bug guy from episode 2

I still own and occasionally play through all of the 5D's WC games including this one. In fact, I collect all physical Yu-Gi-Oh video games when possible. On DS I'm missing just WC 2007 and Spirit Caller and I own all of the Tag Force games on PSP. Among the three 5D's DS titles I'd say that Stardust Accelerator is the weakest entry but it's still an enjoyable experience so long as you can overcome the occasional difficulty spikes and the immense grinding required to progress. What really makes Stardust Accelerator a great game for me is the soundtrack, there are SO many awesome tunes to listen to while throwing your cards down. Most carried on to the remaining 5D's titles but there are a few that didn't and, oddly, most that stayed in this one are some of the best tracks among the three titles.
Btw, just curious, how did you get recording for this game? Do you have a modified DS that can output footage for capture? I've thought of talking about these games myself but unlike the PSP, which some models have a dedicated video output to a TV, the DS was never able to output video beyond its own screens...

You say that 2009 is the first WC game to have a story mode but 2008 also had it, even though it was named Duel World but it was separate from WC mode.
Side note; I think 2008 is the best WC game.

A few days ago I decided to play this again because I forgot why I stopped... very quickly I REMEMBERED WHY smh... Between the Security stuff, shitty cards you get, hard decks your opponents play against & general lack of in game direction... it got very annoying very quickly... just gonna move on to Reverse of Arcadia. Stardust Accelerator was the drizzling shits of the 3 5ds DS games 💯

Me, currently replaying the game by legit grinding a good useable deck within the first area of the game in around 18 hours.
Kaizouwar, telling me the campagin is 5-6 hours long, 20-30 hours if I grind. Say what?!
Jokes aside I actually think the BIGGEST problem of this game is how the Booster packs are handled. They're RL-Booster packs and while some do contain cool cards and led me to use a FIRE Burn deck most of the time, most of these are garbage because they're outclassed if you don't have the best tools. The "Beginner"-Packs "Dark Beginning 1/2" and "Dark Revelation 1/2" contain the arguable best cards. While Spirit Callers gave you good presets of boosters after certain story sections that all contain useful sets of cards, this game essentially lets you play a Synchro-Era game with Pharao/GX-Yugioh Cards. It's not impossible and you can actually get Synchros as drops and even unlock booster packs but as a kid I didn't know how to do that and I mostly beat most duelists only once. As much as I love these games nowadays I can't deny this one was too cryptic for a casual player, though Over the Nexus handled it a lot better with giving you a Synchro Booster right of the bat plus whole Decks you could buy etc. And Spirit Caller was pretty simple and easy so you could build a strong deck - while the entire game is basically grinding at certain parts.
I gotta say though that while it is going to be a ton of fun to grind into this one, I can't be mad at those who still believe you can't get Synchro Monsters in this game because until last year I was one of them. Despite having 1 and a half completed playthroughs of the game at that time. Even my friends who played to the game around 2 times each didn't figure this out. And its also bad that even if you figure out how to, by the time you locked yourself in Rex Goodwins Clone-Wars-Hell and stuck with Ojama, Kuriboh and Skull Servant in WC-Mode... Yeah, that was my experience but after grinding a Lightsworn deck I brute forced my way through the clones and immediately proceed to first try Jack with the Casual Deck I built throughout the game (which I used accidently because I forgot to set up a Lightsworn Turbo Deck).
