@@animeegotists7527Honestly, I find most of the video games are this kind of welcoming. ...Mostly because Konami stopped making most of the video games around the time of the 3DS. Even the WC and later Tag Force titles start you off easy without having you learn the Syncro Summon or "Speed Duels" until you've gotten your feet wet. ...I miss the single-player TCG Video Games.
@@pozosestevezjosejavier3999nowadays your either gonna have to dish out a bunch of money for a psp and the games themselves or embrace your inner jack sparrow sadly. None of the games are available on modern hardware as far as I know.
But why would Konami be ever that cool of a developer if they can just make tons of money by printing cards and selling mediocre, not that well coded games. That's why I loved GX because they actually were actually in the same universe, the same world, with a lot of crossovers to the OGs, with basically the same lore but just expanded and build on, although at times the story gets a bit crazy, but nothing beats a teenager literally killing people in gambles lol
@@ChazzItUp6714Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship series for DS were the most immersive video games. They put you in the world of Duel Monsters, GX and 5D's respectively. But yeah, Yugioh WC 2004, Yugioh GX Duel Academy, Yugioh Tag Force series and Yugioh WC 2009-2011 were the best videogames in the franchise in terms of putting you in the world
I loved the Yugioh games that let you make your character. I wish Konami would make more of those types of Yugioh games or at the very least port the older Yugioh games to current consoles.
Both tag force 3 and GX Season 4 have a special place in my heart, because in my last year in High School i got into those two a lot, and seeing all the characters getting their final developments and graduating, i could relate to it a lot, it's simply incredible and I'll always cherish it.
I’m genuinely disappointed they haven’t made a Tag Force Ultimate with the entire Cardpool up to now with every character, filler, manga, movies, you name it.
There used to be a Yugioh Duel Generation where you can battle all the characters in every era but they discontinued it because Duel Links popularity is tanking
I never got the chance to play the tag force games but I have heard about them for years and have been fascinated by them Specially the ones set during the 5Ds era where you can even team up with the antagonists and go "hahaha we killed the heroes, you are my best friend player"
Tag force 5 is such an important game for me because of how much it made me appreciate characters even more but it helps that 5ds is my favorite yugioh oh also tag force 6 is also really damn good and worth hunting down the English patch
I miss old Yu-Gi-Oh games actually having a story and feeling like some effort was put into the campaign. Nowadays, we either get a watered down recap of the anime or tutorial missions masquerading as a campaign.
As someone who knows a lot of the LORE of Tag Force. A lot was lost in translation or localization screwed up. Mathew and Craig are brothers. However this was lost due to last names being removed for all non-main GX characters This effects a special event in Tag Force 2 involving them. Corey doesn't speak much in the Japanese version. Localized version he was made to speak more robotically for some reason. Jamie and Syun are top tag team dueling team (in the LORE) and they're always paired up and found together (in Tag Force 1 and an event in Tag Force 2 involving Syrus). Tag Force 2 introduced 5 main stay girl characters for the series (Their 5Ds incarnate are not the same character) Bright, Wisteria, Kami, Cherry, and Yuma Miyata (Her last name was cut in the English version) In the Japanese version, all Tag Force characters have special dialog when you do specific actions and give you they're own speech when "Red Hat-kun" graduates. This was removed in the English version. Red Hat-Chan (girl version of Red Hat) was scrapped early in development in Tag Force 3. Only evidence of it existing is in Bastions ending image a mock up image with him and Red Hat-Chan is shown. Which shows it exist and was planned. Tag Force gave a better send off to Dark Zane as Zane was screwed over hard in the anime when he came back. Original Zane, show cases Atticus was always goofy and messes around with Zane. Show cases how Zane and Atticus are friends despite being polar opposites. Blair having 4 separate routes was interesting. (child and disguised is more of a parody route or what if she was a main stay for a while longer in disguised route) Blue uniform Blair made her best girl and actually improves her character. Also she even let's go of her crush. People tend to exaggerate her Slifer Red route. I just find that one funny cause it's obvious in that final S4 Jaden would never talk or act like that. Tag Force actually did a proper send off to the characters (the ones considered good by the Tag Force community) and did a better job then the anime.
@@stickers1235 I did a double check. A lot of them are incorrect or blatantly wrong. Very few are actually accurate. Majority of Obelisk Blue boys were left in Japanese. Only Rie, Wisteria (because of course extreme bias), Kami and Anca (which is inaccurate) were translated from Obelisk blue girls (he still calls Yuma Miyata The Other Yuma which is beyond dumb) Never trust Clickclaxer01 translations. They are garbage. I had to manually retranslate from scratch cause it amazes me he has never learn from his past works being terrible and still double downs I even redid Lara (tag force 6) quotes from scratch cause I was legit pissed what Clickclaxer01 did.
Tag Force 3 was my most played PSP game. I loved it so much. The character stories and end slides were always worth pursuing. Plus the summon and attack animations for the iconic monsters was awesome.
I love how the protagonist keeps those traits you mentioned in the video by the time of the 5d's era. For example, in some of the stories with team 5d's they'll comment how you eat a lot of food, or how you always sleep a lot, especially during trudge and mina's stories, where you're pretty much a freelancer policeman. And one aspect pretty much everyone tells you, you never lock the door. Which a lot of villains take advantage of during their stories, like roman or some of the dark signers. And people like jakob and rex tell you they'll find ways to get to your room, even if they have to bust down the door.
It's honestly surprising to see how much they gave red hat/konami-kun (that's apparently what thr japanese fans call him) characters and traits like you mentioned. But not only that, he actually got his own lore with each variation is different. In GX he's pretty simple, just a kid that goes to duel academy In 5D's he's an android that takes care one of the villain (the white hair guy, forgot his name) that came from the future but got seperated with him (iirc). He's a somewhat parent figure to him, which led to a lot of fanart depicting them as parent and child (i'm not too familiar with 5D's so i might get some info wrong) In ZEXAL while not technically a tag force game, he still made his debut in the festival game. I'm not too familiar with Zexal lore so i might got some info wrong, but in this game he's an alien similiar to barian... Actually, there's some hint even that he's actually a barian in TAG FORCE special. Basically there's nore to him than meets the eye, even dark Astral was shitting his pants knowing who he actually is (but he never said it outloud). Another strange case with this one, during one of the duel it's hinted that 5D's might actually be connected to ZEXAL since one of the character recognize Konami in the past and calling him a legendary duelist iirc. It's interesting that they give him a different take each game. I want to say something about the tag force special... But that games translation was such a dogshit one that most of it probably inaccurate. But if there is one thing that is seems like always the same with him it's that he's a dueling maniac. He LOVES to duel, he's basically the goku of yugioh. One time he got so heated (excited) in a duel he knock his opponent unconcious in 5D's tag force, which is surprising because this variation seems to be more on the quieter side of personality. In ZEXAL he came into earth via meteor that might be his spaceship. What did he do when he arrive? He beats EVERY of ZEXAL both main AND side charactets and yes including ZEXAL Yuma. And iirc it also implied he did it in a single day too. when he beats everyone which allow him to wish for anything, what did he wish? He wish for the duel festival to continue so that he can duel more. He's really passionate about dueling ong And this continue to even duel links too.
That’s what I love about him. He seems like such an interesting character, for being a silent protagonist! He honestly feels like he could slid into his own anime, and it would’ve worked! He feels so unique and likable…when he’s not teaming up with a villain.
Hold on. Some of that Zexal stuff is downright wrong or just false. 5ds one is correct is he an android that was sent back in time. He took care of Primo/Aporia/etc. When they were a kid in the bad 5ds timeline. Because of the timeline shenangians we can have the whole 1-6 installments of tag force on the same timeline. Since in Red Hat's Apartment in 5ds he has his GX hat. Also he can see spirits like Luna and Jaden. Besides being passionate about dueling Red Hat likes to sleep the most. More so than Jaden and this trait stays with him all the way up to Tag Force Special. Fucking same that in duel links there's no reference to him besides just showing up to duel. No quotes against GX or 5ds characters nothing
I have the first 5 tag force games, since only ones officially translated, but I've been doing a grind to get every heart and every card at 3x. It's been fun.
1:33 this was my first yugioh game (that actually had yugioh mechanics) and that tutorial was a godsend to me, please let that slide for yugioh games. I really needed that tutorial.
I never played Tag Force, instead I played Spirit Callers in DS. Pretty similar with Tag Force, where we became an academy student too. I was a fan of Red-Eyes, so I built a deck around dragons. I'm really surprised when facing Nightshroud, turns out Red-Eyes has an evolution form. Not gonna lie, Duel Academy is the game that brought me into loving Yugioh.
Spirit Callers and Duel Academy were so much fun! Academy for the feels of being in the cast, and Spirit Caller made me love the idea of having a duel spirit!
*Fun Fact:* There is an 7th(6th?) game called Tag Force Special, who was only released in Japan(but now have fan translation) with all the cards up to the Pendulum ones! (And with an actual difficulty curve and story, so no more of that Duel Masters difficulty!)
So what you are saying is, the player, Blair, and Bastion together make a good poly couple thst support eachother emotionally. And physically against crazy supervillains. Wholesome.
Cool thumbnail. You should play the 5Ds one as well, I personally think they further expand on the partner sustem and stories. You should also mention that you can edit your partner's deck too btw.
@@animeegotists7527 Given how much you seemed to enjoy the first 3 Tag Force games, I definitely think you will enjoy the 5D’s trilogy just as much, if not more. One notable improvement for the 5D’s games is that its much less tedious to raise the partner hearts, in fact you can do it without dueling at all. The World Championship series of games for the NDS are also heavily story focused, specifically WC 2009 - WC 2011. So I would highly recommend looking into them if you haven’t already.
7:13 A little fun facts It took 12 years for Fossils to come to the TCG, 14 years for Advanced Crystal Beasts, AND 15-16 years for Colorless, the Dark world 🥲 I'm still desperately waiting for Chaos End Ruler from Yugioh Zexal to one day become a real card AND the Stardust form from Yugioh 5d's Ending 5 (no, that isn't shooting quasar or sifr)
Excellent video, which does justice to the best Yu-gi-oh game series. What's really nice about these games is how much they try to correct the shortcomings of the animated series. That's why, like you, I like Misawa's story (it's cool that he's becoming this "secret hero") and Blair's (who's becoming something more than a Jaden groupie). Of the bunch, I like Tag Force 2 a little less, probably because the stories are too long. But at least these were games that gave you your money's worth, you had a bunch of hours to do to get everything, unlock all the cards or be able, for example, to team up with Sadie. And I like the way they've done the island, with the cute characters. Konami is about to re-release some of the Gameboy Advance games on Switch in Japan, so it would be cool if the first three Tag Force games were re-released in HD too.
One thing I love about this game is the OSTs, some of them (like the main menu one) sounds so ethereal, so out of this world, it takes me back man, good times
I dont know what I love more about the Tag Force series, feeling like Im part of the cast of my favorite series, the alternate stories you can unlock, the chaotic tag duel AI, the music, the anime exclusive cards... Damn games just make me feel at home when I play them.
Honestly, so much about these games are so much fun, it’s hard for me to put my finger on what my favorite thing is. Everything just feels like it’s so much fun!
Sacred Cards was my favorite Yu-gi-oh game growing up because it was the only one I played that allowed me to play my own character and actually have a world to explore and interact with. I'm just now learning there are so many more. Reshef of Destruction, the 5DS DS trilogy, as well as the Tag Force games and a couple others. You covered these in just the perfect amount of depth and I actually *really* want to try these now despite only having seen a few episodes of GX as a kid. These games really seem to have everything I could want out of a Yugioh game!
I remember playing the tag force games on my psp my first one was 5ds tag force 4 after that I got 5 and I managed to also find the gx 3 too eventually. I remember playing each game for hours and I still have them today and occasionally I open them up for nostalgia.
Whenever I play Tag Force, the first thing I do is go to the settings and adjust the game according to my preferences. In this case, the tutorial can be skipped by turning it off in the options menu. Normally, the first week consists of tutorial classes, but if you disable the tutorial, the characters will just talk about random things in class. By the way, you can replay the entire first week of classes three times. After each class, the professor will give you water support cards for your structure deck. Playing through the first week three times allows you to get three copies of those cards, giving you a better and more decent deck at the start.
Not a bad video. Me personally I never had to use sandwiches that much & when I did, I always timed it right so I got the golden egg each time :3 It will be good to see you do more documentary/essay vids on other video games too. Was fun listening to you, especially the intro with Budokai Tenkaichi & Ninja Storm. Hope you can go more into detail with those later ^^
Man, thanks for reminding me of these games. The PSP was the first ever gaming console I got as a kid and I still remember the first time I played YGOTF. In actuality, I didn't even know what Yu-Gi-Oh! was in the first place. I just saw a classmate of mine playing some kind of card game on his PSP and I got intrigued. I asked my mom to basically get me the game. I just told her it was a card game and she actually managed to get the first Tag Force. I played that game non-stop, all day every day. What sucks is that I wasn't actually able to finish it since I was a kid and was too dumb to know how to play the game optimally. Still, I had fun. I managed to play Tag Force 1 to Tag Force 5 using emulators and I couldn't be any more happier. I also wanna thank you for reminding me of Blair specifically. I remembered one time when I was in that era of mine, I watched a gameplay vid of Blair's final story quest. The art of her crying is still ingrained in my mind. And that is the story of how I met my first... waifu. Yep, those were the days.
Yeah I owe my mom for getting me this game too; she's awesome for that! I always was entertained by Blair, but it was so cool to see just how much love this game gave her. I actually felt bad for her at the end.
Thank you! Another man of culture who enjoys the beauty and potential that is Tag Force! I wish they allowed you to play this on PS4, but sadly you can't find this as a possible game to purchase online sadly...
@@animeegotists7527 As for your questions on which route is my favorite and favorite tag partner? I'd say Obelisk Blue Blair personally, I don't get why everyone hates on Blair so much. Sure, she's very one track minded on being with the one she loves but she was willing to learn to duel to hopefully be worthy of said person. It's somewhat respectable to me.
I've only played tag force 3, it was definitely a fun game. I agree your views on it, and the game really showed me how much Syrus grew as a character in obelisk compared to his time in ra or slifer. Great video
I really like this video! As a big GX fan who will probably never get a chance to experience any of the Tag Force games, I really appreciate how you show them off!
0:25 - It is a miracle I managed to beat that monstrosity without any of the cheese strats everyone else who beat it found. Well, aside from Phoenix Ra in the post-game.
@@animeegotists7527 Gameboylad put out a video where he recapped the game’s plot and narrated a playthrough where he used basically every cheese strat in the book to make the game easier. Somehow he struggled harder against the final Reshef fight with the best budget deck he could muster than I did playing with the element chart normally… plus some Traps and, I think, Slifer.
The PS2 port of Tag Force 1 was my introduction to the game as a whole and Tag Force 3 came at an important time that helped me take my mind off things at the time. Both are close to my heart for those reasons and I hope more YuGiOh fans can discover these games. Heck, since Konami are releasing the GB/A games in a new bundle, Tag Force deserves it too! I did play Tag Force 4 a good amount too. I think it went back to the TF1 sort of thing where it felt more like it was about you being part of the world than being there for the story. I still enjoyed that too. Never really played 5, 6 or Arc V.
Oh dang! I had no idea about the GB/A releases! Gonna have to keep my eyes on that! Tag Force 4 so far is really different from the others, but not bad so far. The rest will get their own video!
It was one of my first yu gi oh games . I started with whatever i cloud make work . Enterally i got into light monsters focused around Voltic Kong and Luminous spark as main cards , but then i figured that most fairies are light , and ever since then , when i get into a yu gi oh game , i start by going for light decks or fairy deks.
It is beautiful gane which gave more substance to each characters but not all of them but despite that we feel we are one with our partners and became life long friends
I'm curious if you've ever seen / played GX Duel Academy on the old GBA cause that's imo one of the best renditions of GX at least. Aside from being a bit tedious, it covers most of the story diligently and you are your own character, you can grind up for your decks, you can take exams that determine your dorm after the start in Slifer, you can become "King Of Games" with some work etc.
As much as I appreciate Duel Links and Master Duel for their nice visuals and banging soundtracks, I miss the old era of Yugioh video games that inserted you into the anime storylines. These games not only made you feel like you were in the anime, but they also made you the King of Rizz for no reason. You have no idea how many times I replayed GX Spirit Caller back in the day.
Spirit caller was definitely wonderfull, it's one of my favourite too, probabily only under reverse of arcadia (that i've played like 15 or more times)
The Tagforce series are "for me at least" one of the best games in the franchise and that isn't enough to describe it. The first Tagforce cemented the legacy for what was next to come in the series, given the fact that not only you got to interact with pretty much everyone in the game "albeit from Season 1 of GX almost Season 2" but to to tag with your favorite characters of the show was something rather neat. To this day i still have my old save file of Tagforce 1 from way back in highschool, while it's a shame that neither Tagforce 3,6 or TFS never came to the west "Well technically 3 released only for Europe for some reason" it really surprised me how both 3,6 and TFS implemented some mechanics that were just about to become implemented on future installments like Synchros on 3 although limited until it's debut on Tagforce 4, Excees "or whatever" in 6 and Pendulum in TFS.
@@animeegotists7527 Yeah that for me was very cool to find out since i played TF3 years later and finding that they implemented the early stages of Synchro Summoning was quite surprising, even if it was a small preview of what was coming next.
The only tagforce I played Tagforce 4, but it’s definitely my favorite among the Yugioh games I played. I actually edited the water deck they gave you and my favorite character to team up with was the npc Hana. I even made an edited version of the water deck that had Frost and Flame Dragon because Hana used a Fire deck.
Loved this review man honestly. This series hits close to home for me since I graduated the same times as playing these games i think thats why Blairs story hit so close the first time playing it. I still play these games from time to time there is even a way to play tagforce 3 with Japanese audio if you dont mind emulation. I played dragon beat down deck but not before i was carried by lightsworns. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Tag Force 5 solidified ygo as a game I would enjoy til the end of time, even if I haven't actually played a game of yugioh in years. Got max hearts for everyone and actually got me to buy the DVD Box Set for both 5ds and Zexal a decade+ ago. Pulling cards in the shop was so fun and will forever be grateful that there's a % for how many cards in a set you already own. There's morning, evening and night events. Leo has so much more screen time in that as well since I can actually just choose to meet up with him and I do. I actually learned how to build a deck from that and that game gave me the confidence to go on Dueling Network and play some games online. MD has no soul even with the archetype story mode
Wasn't into the card game when these were coming out, definitely missed out on some good childhood times. I would like to see this game series continue.
I never played the PSP Tag Force games, but I did play a LOT of GX Duel Academy on the GBA- which, in some ways does feel like a predecessor to the Tag Force games. Being a resident of Duel Academy, getting familiar with characters from the anime, making your way up the ladder of dueling… it really immersed me in the idea of being a real student of Duel Academy, really cool to see other games in the franchise doing that for other players!
While I prefer yugioh tag force for gx. When it comes to 5ds my fav is Master of the cards on Wii. It has a very interesting story and atmosphere to it. Still got it to this day.
i really REALLY wish konami would make another Tag Force, its my fav format, i always loved the tag duels my fav deck was just a theme deck of skulls, having my "ace" being king of the skull servants
2:57 Jaiden loves golden egg sandwiches it will make him choose you as a partner at the end of the week. also, there is a 1 end game secret mode in the lab section that i never did unlock since it required a lot of time and effort good nostalgia
Growing up i actually loved the tag force game! Since a child i was obsessed with yugioh, but never really had the money to back it up, so when i managed to get both a PS2, learn enough english (in brazil at the time there were really few cards in portuguese) and get the tag force game, oh boy i played it SOOOOOOOO much. I loved the visual novel elements of it, the different decks possibility and the overall freedom you had in your gameplay. I really do hope that someday we get a modern day equivalent to it, maybe the VR game is it? who knows
Also the Tag Force games made me love the Tag Force player character, which is affectionately referred to as Konami-kun by the game company. 😆 Also he has lore that’s revealed in one of the 5Ds Tag Force games that makes sense for his character throughout the first 6 games. I was shocked but happy that the player character became so well-liked that they bothered to give him really backstory lore.
Doesn’t he have a different backstory depending on what route you follow? So he’s still left up to the player in a way? I like the idea Tag Force 1 - 3 are his kid to late teen years and Tag Force 4 - 6 young adult.
@@viruschris3160 Well he seems to in some of his routes but in a good amount of routes in the 5Ds games it’s implied that he’s some kind of robot which is how he lives for so long (and explains how he survives up to the ZEXAL and Arc-V era)
@@NarutoTsunadefan1 Interesting. Though I like to think he could be a different person from each era too. Doesn’t have to be the same Avatar. Think it’s more fun this way. Anyway I wish we got another Tag Force games. These were the best YGO games.
My favorite Yu-Gi-Oh video game period. Just the whole series! I always find it so cool how you can interact with both actual characters and background characters and the animations for just about every action in a duel. Was always so cool to me.
i played all tag force games.. probably some of the best games i ever played in my life, definitely the best yugioh games especially because of tag dueling which was always my favorite way to play yugioh, it's just so much fun doing tag duels same goes for the ds games where you could literally ride a bike just like the 5d's series, good times
I started trying out Master Duel… I feel so overwhelmed by all the new additions and things like XYZ, Link, and Pendulum summons and the new card effects I have no idea what I’m doing. I lost pretty much every duel in Casual Matches. Sure only like 5 duels, but I got wrecked at how fast paced everything was I doesn’t feel like I should try anymore. Back man, Tag Duels were my favorite! I love those games and just want another Yu-Gi-Oh! Game like it. I still own all 5 Tag Forces. Sadly 6 was… not available in English I believe. Might dig out my PSP to play them again.
@@animeegotists7527 Duel Links has the weird limit of only 4 monsters and 4 spell/traps on the field. I get it, it’s a lite Duel format but I wish it was a more traditional Duel format. Fun to play as the characters but would love to play as my own Avatar.
One neat thing about tag force 3 is that they introduced synchro despite no one in GX series ever used synchro before. This made me felt like a modern player compared to the rest of the cast
I'd love for Konami to try and make something like this again. I mean Legacy was an ok run-through of iconic duels, and Master Duel is basically the big arena for competitive dueling. Still games like this felt special. Not only building your deck from scratch, but your character as well. Having actual interactions that actually effect characters and story. Either give us remasters or perhaps even reboot the Tag Force games.
@@animeegotists7527 ooo that's a cool idea as well. Getting our own unique archetype. Granted that'd require Konami to make an entire archetype all at once. But yeah, Tag Force kinda sounds like Yu-Gi-Oh meets Persona which is pretty freaking cool just based on concept. Another idea I'd love to see is a game actually based around the lore we find in some cards.
@animeegotists7527 7 months later and on my 3rd run of Tag Force 2. It was definitely worth it. These games are a blast. PS. I think you forgot to mention the potato level AI your teammates always seem to have. Oof.
Never played tag force before, but OH MY GOD does it feel nice to see those animations again. I recognized them from Yugioh 5Ds Duel Accelerator, guess I learned where they originated from!
I started playing Tag Force 3 for the first time yesterday and I was so excited to find out that you can edit your partner’s deck. Anyone who partnered with Jaden in TF1 knows how essential that feature is.
Thought I would go ahead and point out that the audio files for the japanese voices are in the english versions of the Tag Force games but were disabled as part of the localization process.
I played Tag Force 1 on Ps2 and man i loved it so much. I had so much fun trying to convince people to be my tag partner and building unique decks. I remember my decks so much
Since the anime really popularized yugioh globally, it is very sad how we get crap like master duel now while games like duel links are good for anime fans but way too p2w. It's really sad , most people don't even know about yugioh online, the best MMORPG in the series when it comes to making your own character; you could customize their looks, the duels has cutscenes for everything just like tag force and you could give your characters dialogue lines. The game was ruined by p2w however. Hell, we can't even get field spells to cover the field like old games and it's 2024. Tag force is the best series in yugioh gaming period, it's not even close. People may enjoy other old jrpg style yugioh games but tag force sid everything right for fans of the anime. Day by day living, you get to play through basically every thing that happens In the anime plus original tag force story content, hell you could basically romance the characters!.. the list goes on. The only game close to tag force is yugioh world championship, but the story mode is more of a afterthought in that game series. I don't even play yugioh anymore because it's dead to those who aren't still riding the anime hype or just really addicted/too far into the tcg/ocg card game. I played Master duel, eventually got bored as hell since it's just ygopro, then I played duel links and had a absolute blast. Duel links doesn't compare to tag force, but it obviously borrowed a lot of elements from the tag force series and like tag force, it does have a good emphasis on immersion by giving you a ton of anime duelist to use. They even have voice lines they say throughout the duel, you can also make them say voice lines yourself. It took almost two years for me to quit because i realized how p2w komoney made duel links, people like to argue everything is grindable but it's obviously not in a way that respects your time. You have to duel like crazy to get a CHANCE to roll lootboxes basically. It ruins the game and gives p2w players a massively unfair advantage. We will probably never get another tag force game, it genuinely makes me very sad since like someone else said, I've literally come back to tag force year after year because it's just that damn good. We don't get these kind of high quality, immersive jrpg sims anymore. Now we get whatever junk they can slap microtransactions on. I don't know about that dawn of the battle royale game but even I was like oh hell yes when I saw it, until i saw it was a Nintendo exclusive for some reason. I doubt dawn of the battle royale is anywhere near as in depth or good as tag force, but its at least somewhat a spiritual successor, or carrier of the torch for those of us who want something even remotely close to tag forces immersion. It's so sad, really. Hopefully one day we get back to tag force, because even though they did make the dawn of battle royale game, it's not on the level that the tag force series or probably even world champion story mode was. I do love this game btw but I've played many of the better yugioh jrpgs and I can definitely say without hesitation or bias tag force is the best game series we've gotten from yugioh. One thing you'll notice about what I've said is games now actually borrow elements of tag force to improve their games. Duel links is one, yugioh online(now a dead game) is another and I could probably find more if I cared to look. It just shows how good tag force was in it's formula. Edit: if anyone googlea yugioh online, make sure you're looking at the one that has character models that look like tag force, not the other yugioh online I never even played lol. The ones with character models like tag force basically got it's entire dna from the tag force series and was truly a great game ahead of it's time ruined by typical komoney greed
Yu-gi-oh tag force literally became a part of my childhood. I played the hell out of the game from 12 years old until I graduate middle school (only played Tag Force 3 back then). It is just so fun playing against other npc duelist that have their own personality AND different decks. Some of them are meta during the time and some of them are a joke like KenYou and Bawnji skeleton deck. Playing Cyber Dragon deck during this time is extremely satisfying especially when you hit that Power Bond and summon the Chimeratech Overdragon then proceeds to OTK. One gripe I have with this game is WE DON'T HAVE A STORY WITH REGULAR NPC or Alexis' two friends lol I understand with the NPC one but the side characters? I mean back then I simp for Jasmine and how disappointed I was knowing she doesn't have a unique ending with the MC. Which the 5ds tag force has one. I mean we have a story and an ending with Sherry. Oh yeah and absolutely loved Bright and Andrea as the best NPC girls. I remember that I hated Seydina so much because how annoying his personality + his deck was lol.
Yeah I wouldn't have minded the NPCs having some type of story. It might have been a lot to ask for, but even some dialogue from them acknowledging your friendship could've been amazing!
I just love how Konami has been consistent with the "player" design. Even in marketing for the game such as those beginner battle sets you can see the same character design in the "manga"
The psp, ds, gba yugioh games are more memorable than the simulators now. The stories in those older games are really interesting and It keeps you invested.
Tag Force(1-6) will always be the standard for any Yu-gi-oh game imo; nothing comes close to what they did. I think the only way to have made them "better" would be if TF2 made the player a Ra Yellow and TF3 made you an Obelisk Blue (with the matching clothes and Hat) just for the sake of yearly progression. My favorite thing about them was the anime specific cards; I loved using rock decks with fossil fusion, and for 5Ds the dark synchros (with negative levels). Such a vibe.
@@MrDavezd I still have and play wc2011 on my 3ds😭 the story was so good, and the speed duels were loads of fun. I still like tag force better since more cards, but i completely agree they did something special with those games and they're extremely good
That actually sounds interesting if it was a dating sim. And primarily it does because the characters have been around for a while to grow on people, not so much if it was brand new.
My three favorite decks are Elemental Heroes, Lightsworn and Dragon. Elemental Heroes are really satisfying to play in my opinion, specially because of Flamewingman (and shining) burn effect. Lightsworn are REALLY busted, I've recently added the Slash Draw card to my deck which helps milling during my turn and makes the deck even faster. I also play a Dragon deck that uses Horus and Red Eyes Darkness Metal, I know King Dragun offers better protection but he is just too annoying for me to summon. Aside from those three I also play a Deck that mixes Cyber Dragon with synchros because although Cybers are really strong they have very limited protection, backrow removal and card recycling, Stardust Dragon helps me keep my cyber dragons alive for them too run over my opponent, not the most consistent strategy, my hand still bricks a lot but I think it does the job.
@@animeegotists7527 I didn't believe you could win with the deck until I partnered with Blair and she saved my bacon a lot, specially since unlike certain people coff coff Jaden coff coff she didn't tribute my monsters to summon a vanilla monster (I love Neos but I hate when Jaden does that and when he uses Wrath of Neos, at least when Judgment Dragon clears the field it STAYS). I learned how to play by watching Blair basically lol
As someone who has beaten Reshef of Destruction 3 times including a run where I banned using the god cards, the game either requires you to have the patience to grind until you have a usable deck, or to implement cheese strategies. The AI is actually not smart, but rather utilizes having decks that would take you a long time to have the points to be able to use and so will outmatch you while you're stuck with weak cards. If you don't enjoy the grind of the standard Reshef experience, but did like the game's unique mechanics, I highly recommend the "Reshef is Actually Tolerable Now" patch. My solution involved taking advantage of the elemental rock paper scissors and counter decking everyone until the late game where I used traps and removal spells just waiting for my opponent to deck out. You can also use Ra's Phoenix Mode as it's just broken on how powerful it is. I never played Tag Force, but I enjoyed how Sacred Cards placed the player in Battle City and Reshef was it's own plotline carrying with the theme of the show. The games really felt like you were playing alongside your favorite characters. Tag Force placing the player in Duelist Academy would likely be an experience I would enjoy. When GX came out, I think we all wanted to attend Duel Academy instead of our normal school. Most other Yugioh games are just dueling with little no to storyline over and over again against the same set of characters until you can move on to the next set. Legacy of the Duelist was also good, but had you play as the characters from the show instead of as your own character. (Which was still a fun experience, just different.)
I do think playing as our favorites can be fun, but there really should be a balance of some kind. As for Reshef, I may do a video about it and/or beat it. But I'm too traumatized at this point
I agree with the RP aspect of the old games being great, putting you into the world of the anime. I wish we could have it both ways, almost like an MMO or metaverse lobby set in a futuristic Domino City. I tend to play a wide variety of decks when I can. If you can get the cards free, why not test a variety out. That said, for Tag Force 1 I think I played a direct attack control deck. You would floodgate with Level Limit, Messenger of Peace, etc. then equip a Raging Flame Sprite with equip spells then go in for direct attacks. Very fast games. Also I have a soft sport for Arc-V Tag Force Special, it's not as great as the others in terms of exploration & story but it's a great way to play something akin to DUEA format, my favorite period of the game. In that game, they start you with Gadgets so I stuck with a straightforward Machina-Gadget Rank 4 toolbox deck for a long time. Still haven't played the rest of the Tag Force games; I planned to go through them all in order & still do, but I'll be honest TF1 is REALLY boring. Was kinda a turn off. I've just stuck with Master Duel since.
I'm hoping we get more of the Rush Duel games. They already decided not to localize the second one which is a shame, hell they're not localizing Rush Duel itself, but maybe Konami will grace us since they're being generous this year.
@@animeegotists7527 Haven't had the chance to play it yet but I do plan to when my wallet permits. I also considered making a Japanese Nintendo account so I can download the f2p sequel (what YGO player reads anyways)
Oh this game... I have so many memories about this game, from actually beating it, to having a duel with my highschool buddy irl (via YGO Pro, that game was the shit around here back then). Funny story, I was once obsessed with Jaden and his deck build-up (seriously, seeing THE banner monster on your field and just go crazy with it felt sooo good!) to the point that I buy the whole pack in this game, so basically, I copied his whole deck recipe, then comes Alexis... Ah, the good ol' Alexis.... Once you unlocked her booster pack, oh you know it's game time for ya, Command Knights, Reinforcement of the Army, those two are the good ol' one-two for every Warrior type users. You know when you maxed your relationship with her, you actually get to duel her and once you've won, you'll be gifted with the best max relationship screen ever. Also, there's this one time I actually managed to get all tier 1 duelist per playthrough (I didn't realize I could actually get all of them in one go during my earlier playthrough) and it's by far one of the most satisfying moment I've ever had. Also, to this day, I still use Warrior deck, Noble Knights to be exact. Sorry for the whole damn paragraph btw, it's just that this game really gives my teenage self one of the best moment he ever had in his life... And a buddy too!
I like your Breakthrough of tag force games , tag force did me something I really wanted when I was a child Become an anime character I really liked Tag force 1 because the story was SO unpredictable The 5ds tag force series were addictive There were story modes for even NPCs , packs were cheaper .. etc :) Really wish there were zexal tag force because animations would be really cool , nowadays animations exist but with duel links short animations style Tag force special was a yugioh dueling game more of a story game in my opinion Tag force 4 is my favorite game Card text is so cool , The Dueling OSTs are incredible ( DnB music xD xD ) And SO futiristic , more than the other tag forces even This game is ahead of its time , like really
1. Tag force 4 2. Tag force 1 ( so unpredictable like real life ) 3. Tag force 6 ( Xyz summoning animation was awesome , and 2010 format was at its peak :) ) 4. Tag force 3 ( Synchro summoning animation in GX was cool , 4 heart story modes were the best here ) 5. Tag force 2 ( Introduction of destiny draw in a cool way ) 6. Tag force 5 ( Not so much except Introducing new characters) 7. Arc v tag force special ( A game that existed just to be a nice end to the tag force series , meh >_
@@LoayThePhrygian I’m so happy people are enjoying and remembering the games to this day. The feeling of putting yourself in this game really sold it. I need to get on playing the 5Ds and Tag force special.
This was so fun to watch! Especially since atm, I'm doing a challenge run of the First Tag Force game (PS2 version) with only the Starter Deck (aka, "Personal Deck") and oh boy, so far, it's been painful lol (still hella fun tho!). And I do plan on making it a somewhat long, but hopefully at least a little bit entertaining video eventually as well. I'm going to have to edit and chop parts of it like tho, and hopefully include as much of its criminally underrated soundtrack as I possibly can! (Favorite YGO VG Soundtrack along with Forbidden Memories and Duelist of the Roses). (Btw, I actually did play through most of Tag Force 1 with a Dizzy deck, and I found them a lot of fun personally. Although I never used Hot Sauce bottle as it's honestly too weak even with its intended Dizzy cards). Haven't got to play Tag Force 3 or an of them onwards yet, but in the case of 3 that's because well (*Insert any meme about money*) and I suck at figuring out emulation. (Also sorry for my terrible grammer/engrish)
Only the Starter Deck? Nice! Definitely recommend TF3 and glad that someone else appreciates the awesome soundtracks! Good luck with your playthroughs!
Fighting game x school life dating sim in Rival Schools 2 came to mind with this title. Even more so that the school life sim actually got its own spin off because of how popular it was. It having mostly male charcters as well makes it closer to a otome game given you could make your own fighter as well in that game. Also man, it have been nice playing this as a kid. Always just played Yugioh 2008 because that was the one I had for DS.
My Favorite Game is Yugioh Sacreds Cards for the GBA I grew up with them The PSP is still today my Favorite Hand held Console of all time, and Yugioh GX Tag Force Evolution 3 is my Favorite because i love each Storyarcs from each Characters and they takes not so long as Tag Force 1 oder 2 as an Example. I played Tag Force 1 and 2 too, but was never able to finish it. I also grew up with Yugioh Dark Duel Stories, tht was nice too.
I loved them ^///^. As a kid I grew up with Tag Force 2 & 4 especially. What I really enjoyed about them besides the card gameplay though, was the fact that side characters as well as some villians got more spotlight just as much as the main characters, bonding with them or at least comprehending their personalities a little more (not for everyone honestly). At least Duel Links has that same sort of anime feel, but with less personal attachment from the player outside of the card game. Other than that, I thank the Tag Force games for rekindling my interest to current Yu-Gi-Oh! a few years ago. If they got rereleased on current consoles and PC or make new ones, Konami would make a lot of nostalgic players happy. P.S: Konami got tons of potential with the Tag Force series. Just imagining what a game for each of the other Yu-Gi-Oh! anime worlds would be like. VRAINS especially could've benefitted.
I loved the extra spotlight! Duel Links is kind of an odd case; sometimes the characters talk to themselves and I almost interpret it as maybe them explaining the story to you as the player. Also, I’d love a remake of these games ASAP!
What I like about Tag Force is that it's actually fun and a nice welcome back for those who still enjoy playing classic Yu-Gi-Oh even to this day.
Exactly! I can appreciate the newer stuff, but I feel like too much of Yugioh nowadays forces you to learn the new mechanics.
You can't beat the classics
Tag force helps me introduce to new mechanic since i dont follow Yu-Gi-Oh past OG anime
I never played a tag force game before but it looks like it was ahead of its time.

Just realized the protagonist in this is literally the Vagabond in Duel links
Yeah, wish more of his personality was in Duel Links
I wish Konami would make more of those types of Yugioh games or at the very least port the older Yugioh games to current consoles.
you haven't heard about the gbc gba collection ,but it migh be only in japan
At the very least, a port would be awesome, if not a sequel.

Both tag force 3 and GX Season 4 have a special place in my heart, because in my last year in High School i got into those two a lot, and seeing all the characters getting their final developments and graduating, i could relate to it a lot, it's simply incredible and I'll always cherish it.
That's awesome! I love hearing about how people connect with anime and video games. Makes it that much more special!
Bastion finding fulfillment is an amazing character arc
I agree, I was so happy for him. It’s a shame the anime couldn’t do the same for him.

I’m genuinely disappointed they haven’t made a Tag Force Ultimate with the entire Cardpool up to now with every character, filler, manga, movies, you name it.
Still waiting on it!
if they know what they're doing they should make Legacy of the Duelist like that considering it's in big consoles
There used to be a Yugioh Duel Generation where you can battle all the characters in every era but they discontinued it because Duel Links popularity is tanking
Tag Force V Arc is your next best thing
I never got the chance to play the tag force games but I have heard about them for years and have been fascinated by them
Specially the ones set during the 5Ds era where you can even team up with the antagonists and go "hahaha we killed the heroes, you are my best friend player"
Say what you want about the villains, they can be very grateful😂
Tag force 5 is such an important game for me because of how much it made me appreciate characters even more but it helps that 5ds is my favorite yugioh oh also tag force 6 is also really damn good and worth hunting down the English patch
I’ll definitely have to give TF6 a chance!
I miss old Yu-Gi-Oh games actually having a story and feeling like some effort was put into the campaign. Nowadays, we either get a watered down recap of the anime or tutorial missions masquerading as a campaign.
That's what drew me into the old games, I loved the stories of them!
Tag Force 2 introduced 5 main stay girl characters for the series (Their 5Ds incarnate are not the same character) Bright, Wisteria, Kami, Cherry, and Yuma Miyata (Her last name was cut in the English version)
In the Japanese version, all Tag Force characters have special dialog when you do specific actions and give you they're own speech when "Red Hat-kun" graduates.
Do you know if there is any fan translations of the japanese version of the game that didn't fucked it up?
Not gonna lie, would have loved to see those graduation quotes. That would’ve made things so much more special.
clickclaxor did a translation for 3 which had the graduation quotes
@@stickers1235 I did a double check. A lot of them are incorrect or blatantly wrong. Very few are actually accurate.
Majority of Obelisk Blue boys were left in Japanese. Only Rie, Wisteria (because of course extreme bias), Kami and Anca (which is inaccurate) were translated from Obelisk blue girls (he still calls Yuma Miyata The Other Yuma which is beyond dumb)
Never trust Clickclaxer01 translations. They are garbage. I had to manually retranslate from scratch cause it amazes me he has never learn from his past works being terrible and still double downs
I even redid Lara (tag force 6) quotes from scratch cause I was legit pissed what Clickclaxer01 did.
@@soukenmarufwt5224 lol damn okay. Really wish Konami would just do a remaster collection. Those games were great, along with the 5ds ds ones
Tag Force 3 was my most played PSP game. I loved it so much. The character stories and end slides were always worth pursuing. Plus the summon and attack animations for the iconic monsters was awesome.
The attack animations were so much fun..as long as I was the one doing the attacking!
In GX he's pretty simple, just a kid that goes to duel academy
In 5D's he's an android that takes care one of the villain (the white hair guy, forgot his name) that came from the future but got seperated with him (iirc). He's a somewhat parent figure to him, which led to a lot of fanart depicting them as parent and child (i'm not too familiar with 5D's so i might get some info wrong)
In ZEXAL while not technically a tag force game, he still made his debut in the festival game.
He's really passionate about dueling ong
And this continue to even duel links too.
It can be work, but it's worth it for me!
1:33 this was my first yugioh game (that actually had yugioh mechanics) and that tutorial was a godsend to me, please let that slide for yugioh games. I really needed that tutorial.

Same. Was confused asf when I found out there were phases.
It was nice seeing the win/lose with everyone and that all NPC had different decks
Because there are some decks your deck will struggle against. And it's nice seeing who can give you a challenge and why
*Fun Fact:* There is an 7th(6th?) game called Tag Force Special, who was only released in Japan(but now have fan translation) with all the cards up to the Pendulum ones! (And with an actual difficulty curve and story, so no more of that Duel Masters difficulty!)
I might have to look it up!
So what you are saying is, the player, Blair, and Bastion together make a good poly couple thst support eachother emotionally. And physically against crazy supervillains. Wholesome.
As long as everyone's of age, that's fine with me.
Cool thumbnail. You should play the 5Ds one as well, I personally think they further expand on the partner sustem and stories. You should also mention that you can edit your partner's deck too btw.
5Ds definitely gets its own video! And I love our thumbnail too!
7:13 A little fun facts
It took 12 years for Fossils to come to the TCG, 14 years for Advanced Crystal Beasts, AND 15-16 years for Colorless, the Dark world 🥲
I'm still desperately waiting for Chaos End Ruler from Yugioh Zexal to one day become a real card AND the Stardust form from Yugioh 5d's Ending 5 (no, that isn't shooting quasar or sifr)
I hope the wait is worth it; some archetypes need to be released as soon as they can!
And 16 years later we get the clear cards.
I would love a re-release!
That being said, I’ll take teaming with Sadie over facing her. Those duels still give me nightmares!
Very well put together video fam. You deserve the subscription

Sacred Cards was so much fun! I still go back and play it every now and then!
@animeegotists7527 I'm looking forward to playing it again after so long when the new collection drops! 😁
I remember playing the tag force games on my psp my first one was 5ds tag force 4 after that I got 5 and I managed to also find the gx 3 too eventually. I remember playing each game for hours and I still have them today and occasionally I open them up for nostalgia.
They’re the main games I have on my PSP!
Me personally I never had to use sandwiches that much & when I did, I always timed it right so I got the golden egg each time :3
It will be good to see you do more documentary/essay vids on other video games too. Was fun listening to you, especially the intro with Budokai Tenkaichi & Ninja Storm. Hope you can go more into detail with those later ^^
Really appreciate the support and the kind words! Would love to do more gaming essays!
I’d love for them to finally remaster or rerelease these games, so everyone can enjoy them!
Tag Force was the game that showed me MST doesn't negate, doing it 3 times, then realized it was not a bug
You had me at Yu-Gi-Oh GX . Been in a dueling mood and watching Yu-Gi-Oh GX Season 3-4 lately . Forgot how much I missed my duel monster fam
GX is so much fun to rewatch!
I've only played tag force 3, it was definitely a fun game. I agree your views on it, and the game really showed me how much Syrus grew as a character in obelisk compared to his time in ra or slifer. Great video
Makes me sad how Tag Force 3 didn’t get released in America; a lot of people didn’t get stuff like this.
Thanks for the support!
I really like this video! As a big GX fan who will probably never get a chance to experience any of the Tag Force games, I really appreciate how you show them off!
Appreciate the kind words, thank you!
Animating the field spells like that was so cool. I wish Masterduel did that
Always made the duels feel alive!
Stardew Valley and Yu-Gi-Oh in one game? COUNT ME IN. Great review, actually made me want to try the game out myself
I highly recommend it!
Amazing video. Tag Force will always be my favorite yugioh games. I still go back to them. I wish there were new yugioh games like it.
I love them, I wouldn’t mind them being brought back
0:25 - It is a miracle I managed to beat that monstrosity without any of the cheese strats everyone else who beat it found. Well, aside from Phoenix Ra in the post-game.
Maybe one day I'll try again, but idk.
I still have nightmares about it.
I grew to love light monsters so much throughout the years
It is beautiful gane which gave more substance to each characters but not all of them but despite that we feel we are one with our partners and became life long friends
I grew to really love these characters more thanks to these games. It really felt like I was friends with all of them at Duel Academy!
Oh I loved Duel Academy. It was an underrated one honestly
Spirit Caller! That’s an underrated one for me. I loved having my own duel spirit!
@@animeegotists7527 Same! Jerry Beans Man will always be my dueling buddy!
Yeah, the future implements like summoning mechanics was super cool to me. Almost like they would be testing the reception at first.
The NPCs were always super fun to interact with. Really made the game feel unique!
It's so cool to see how many people played these games during important times in their lives; I love it!
I'm so happy you have such great memories with this series! That's so cool!
Wasn't into the card game when these were coming out, definitely missed out on some good childhood times.
I would like to see this game series continue.
A lot of the older Yu-Gi-Oh games were a lot of fun, I definitely recommend them!

Duel Academy was super underrated, wish it'd gotten a sequel!
These were my favorite yugioh games for sure, such charm with my favorite era of the card game. Would love a new one today
I'd be down for a new one so fast!
This was my favourite psp game as a kid, brings back so many memories.
While I prefer yugioh tag force for gx. When it comes to 5ds my fav is Master of the cards on Wii. It has a very interesting story and atmosphere to it. Still got it to this day.
I also love that game! Need to get on replaying it!
Love this video, I LOVED this game growing up but I started at Tag force 4 you should try 4 it is VERY good, Id love to see you review the rest too
Definitely added to the list! Thanks for the support!
i really REALLY wish konami would make another Tag Force, its my fav format, i always loved the tag duels
my fav deck was just a theme deck of skulls, having my "ace" being king of the skull servants
Ooh that card has caused a lot of issues for me over the years; I respect that!

there is a 1 end game secret mode in the lab section that i never did unlock since it required a lot of time and effort good nostalgia
I really do hope that someday we get a modern day equivalent to it, maybe the VR game is it? who knows
I love that for you!
Same here, I'd love it to come back!
Also the Tag Force games made me love the Tag Force player character, which is affectionately referred to as Konami-kun by the game company. 😆
Also he has lore that’s revealed in one of the 5Ds Tag Force games that makes sense for his character throughout the first 6 games. I was shocked but happy that the player character became so well-liked that they bothered to give him really backstory lore.
They could’ve easily just kept him a nobody, but all the lore and respect they gave to his character was so cool to see!
@@viruschris3160 I think he made an appearance in Duel Links called the Vagabond. That was his last appearance anywhere
My favorite Yu-Gi-Oh video game period. Just the whole series!
I always find it so cool how you can interact with both actual characters and background characters and the animations for just about every action in a duel. Was always so cool to me.
I never owned a PSP, but seeing playthroughs of the Tag Force games makes me want a collection of them released
YESSS BRO SOMEONE FINALLY MAKES A VIDEO ON PEAKKK
Damn right! Love these games!
Tagforce stories with duel links format would be cool
I'd actually love that, honestly!
i played all tag force games.. probably some of the best games i ever played in my life, definitely the best yugioh games especially because of tag dueling which was always my favorite way to play yugioh, it's just so much fun doing tag duels
same goes for the ds games where you could literally ride a bike just like the 5d's series, good times
The DS 5Ds games were so much fun!
I would definitely play a Yu-Gi-Oh game that is also a dating sim !
It would be a Goldmine honestly
Tag duels could be really fun, even in Duel Links they’re pretty fun.
@@animeegotists7527 Duel Links has the weird limit of only 4 monsters and 4 spell/traps on the field.
I get it, it’s a lite Duel format but I wish it was a more traditional Duel format. Fun to play as the characters but would love to play as my own Avatar.
I love that the pegi rating for reshef of destruction is 3+. I don't remember what it was for esrb but I'm pretty sure it wasn't EC. 0:27
One neat thing about tag force 3 is that they introduced synchro despite no one in GX series ever used synchro before. This made me felt like a modern player compared to the rest of the cast
That's right, it was a cool addition for sure!
Blair was given lighsworn deck, that's kinda crazy for gx standarda
Don’t know if I’ll understand why they did that, but I liked it either way!
Oh, I would love building a deck from scratch! Heck, I’d also love an archetype specific to the player, if they felt like using it.

Some of the old games were so much fun!
I started playing Tag Force 3 for the first time yesterday and I was so excited to find out that you can edit your partner’s deck. Anyone who partnered with Jaden in TF1 knows how essential that feature is.
Literally editing your partner Deck makes your partner suck less
Probably one of the best yugioh games I played rush duels kind of had that open world concept but nothing tops tag duel
I would love a game with rush duels similar to this
You can restore the voice acting(jp) with fan patch on psp
@@yadirect I might have to try that actually!
Thought I would go ahead and point out that the audio files for the japanese voices are in the english versions of the Tag Force games but were disabled as part of the localization process.
And now I’m sad

I played Tag Force 1 on Ps2 and man i loved it so much. I had so much fun trying to convince people to be my tag partner and building unique decks. I remember my decks so much
That's so awesome! The memories of this game are always something I'll treasure.
Tag Force Evolution and Forbidden Memories are by far the best Yugioh games ever
Even in marketing for the game such as those beginner battle sets you can see the same character design in the "manga"
the nostalgia hit me like a damn truck, I'm gonna play this again now thanks
No problem! Have fun!

The psp, ds, gba yugioh games are more memorable than the simulators now. The stories in those older games are really interesting and It keeps you invested.
Exactly! It makes you feel invested when you're part of it!
Yeah I’d love if you were able to actually process and go through the dorms. It seemed super weird how the tests meant little to nothing.

That actually sounds interesting if it was a dating sim.
And primarily it does because the characters have been around for a while to grow on people, not so much if it was brand new.
I think it would definitely sell if it was one.
@@animeegotists7527 that's noting..in yu gi oh 5D'd tag force 6 you marry wisteria and some characters even akiza confese you ,:)
It took me years to finally master Lightsworn cards, but I'm so glad I did! Gotta thank Blair for that!
I used to play tag force 5 for a crazy amount of time growing up
As someone who has beaten Reshef of Destruction 3 times including a run where I banned using the god cards, the game either requires you to have the patience to grind until you have a usable deck, or to implement cheese strategies.
I actually really like the Rush Duel game we got
Building a better friendship in real life through these games.

I like your Breakthrough of tag force games , tag force did me something I really wanted when I was a child
Become an anime character
I really liked Tag force 1 because the story was SO unpredictable
The 5ds tag force series were addictive
There were story modes for even NPCs , packs were cheaper .. etc :)
Really wish there were zexal tag force because animations would be really cool , nowadays animations exist but with duel links short animations style
Tag force special was a yugioh dueling game more of a story game in my opinion
Tag force 4 is my favorite game
Card text is so cool , The Dueling OSTs are incredible ( DnB music xD xD )
And SO futiristic , more than the other tag forces even
This game is ahead of its time , like really
1. Tag force 4
2. Tag force 1 ( so unpredictable like real life )
3. Tag force 6 ( Xyz summoning animation was awesome , and 2010 format was at its peak :) )
4. Tag force 3 ( Synchro summoning animation in GX was cool , 4 heart story modes were the best here )
5. Tag force 2 ( Introduction of destiny draw in a cool way )
6. Tag force 5 ( Not so much except Introducing new characters)
I wish they would bring these games back
Same, I'd love it!
Yugioh games were a lot of fun back in the day.
My Favorite Game is Yugioh Sacreds Cards for the GBA
I grew up with them
The PSP is still today my Favorite Hand held Console of all time, and Yugioh GX Tag Force Evolution 3 is my Favorite because i love each Storyarcs from each Characters and they takes not so long as Tag Force 1 oder 2 as an Example.
I played Tag Force 1 and 2 too, but was never able to finish it.
I also grew up with Yugioh Dark Duel Stories, tht was nice too.
Sacred Cards was a good one! I had so much fun with it as a kid!
Glad you were able to enjoy these games as much as I was!
Cool video ^_^
Played the first one and saw the video for nostalgia too
Well done!
I loved the extra spotlight!
Duel Links is kind of an odd case; sometimes the characters talk to themselves and I almost interpret it as maybe them explaining the story to you as the player.
Also, I’d love a remake of these games ASAP!
