I think Unika is gonna have some unique ability to stop something. She has an X on her hair and she hatws gears. So i think she created some way to cancel out their powers. It alludes to her being toxic to fight against

I agree with all your points, guilty gear has so many cool characters but we already know thr ones that exist. They shouls be new characters more often imo, and its been a while. Finally bo flingus is coming to save us

Besides unika i dont care about any of the characters this season at best. Lucy is just taking up vernons spot on the roster but i guess i have enough patience to wait for season 5.

Remeber, if Venom is in Strive and doesn't have Robo Ky with him at all, that means hes going to be in strive.

I want to do biggest read in my life and assume that Unika would be a gameplay successor to Order Sol, similar how to Giovanna resembles Jam, just because they can't bring the guy back without coming up with silly excuses (albeit existence of Axl allows for that sort of thing)

I don't really know how I feel about cross over characters but I'm glad we are getting a new unique character. Lucy will probably have most of her moves based around her monowire and her hacking abilities perhaps she got into the GGST universe from net running since the backyard is essentially so much information that it destroys almost anything it comes in contact with.

I hate how overshadowed unika got by all the other season 4 characters. Sure people are more attached to dizzy and venom and Lucy was a crazy curveball, but unika has so much potential. No one even cared to speculate or anything like that when she was announced, it's kind of sad

I know I am a big Jam simp but I am genuinely shocked she isn’t in the game yet, especially after her getting an appearance in River City Girls 2, which is still getting content to this day. I just assumed she would of appeared with her design in the game being a sneak peak to her Strive design but who knows at this point. Season 5? Also, yea, I can’t wait to see what this new character can do.

A Central Fiction Extend could come with a dub, but also come with a couple new characters, drawing from things that were established in BB Alt. Dark War. I’d suggest 4 new characters to round out to a nice 40 character roster, consisting of Kajun, Homura (could pull from Tenjo’s kit in Dark War), Saya Terumi, and maybe Taro. Kajun and Homura are already involved in the story, however scarcely. Saya would be interesting since she’d be a middle ground/fusion of Ragna and Jin (an iaido style sword user with the Soul Eater drive) (also, I’d just like to see a clash intro between her and Naoto, and how her Arcade Mode ending would look against her counterpart, Izanami).

Season 4 is Godlike

There's so many things to speculate about her as a character both gameplay and story wise (that isn't already mostly set in stone like with returning characters), and that's refreshing to me. Personally, I just hope that her presence as a whole has weight to it and that her playstyle is interesting and complex (but that's just the two to one simplicity star archetype glazer in me talking LOL) I've also seen some people hope that Arcsys uses Unika to reintroduce Order Sol's playstyle to Strive without bringing him back, and honestly, that'd be cool asf too (though I hope they add a Unika original twist to it if they go that route).

Interested in seeing Unika's fighting abilities. Personally I wanted to see Daryl become a playable character in STRIVE but I doubt that's going to happen

I am shocked by the fact we still dont have Jam in the game i dont even play here but dam it feels a bit off

If they do make a 3.0, I hope the reception at its launch won't affect the amount of people playing it. I also won't mind a "Strive' kind of Blazblue so I'll have a reason to play both games like I have a reason to play BBCF and Tag. Strive has done more than just simplified mechanics so it would be a plus for me.

I think if ArcSys really wants to make a new BB without Mori it has to be some sort of reboot of the C Series. You can't really make a continuation of Central Fiction without Mori (unless he left notes or something) so you might as well reintroduce the franchise in a remake/reboot of Calamity Trigger. I'm thinking best case scenario they'd do something like Tsukihime Remake where they go over the old story but add new things so that they can fully make it their 'own' thing.

Chaos Code is hella cool and sadly slept on. By the way you definitely should watch some high level Chaos Code on your spare time. You won't be disappointed

It's a good idea I think, I agree that would make more sense to re-realese BBtag instead of CF since it's the less complete game, but I think I would like a CFEX more, specialy with the possibility that they maybe would be able to go back and actually do the dub, and also beacuse centralfiction is a mainline game instead of a big crossover with everyone from everywhere

I agree. From the leaked files there would’ve been a whole host of characters that would make the game amazing. If the rollback came with the original 2.0 update I’m sure it would’ve lasted longer. Here’s hoping for 3.0

i was thinking for the longest time that if they stopped working on the game this long then it may have something to do with the fact that they were making more sprites and adding new voices to add more characters.

i think if they ever do decide to remake a bb game i hope that they go with the xrd route 🤔

A eng dub for cf and like 3-4 new characters would be amazing but with the state of new modern fighting games im not shure how the game will be received by the casual public

We haven't gotten anythinhg big BlazBlue related since BBTAG & it's clear the folks behind it didn't care much about it Aside from many leaked characters that never got in, the game feels unfinished. Heck, it doesn't even have an arcade mode despite being, ya'know, a STANDARD for fighting games? & This is coming from someone who both LIKES BBTAG & someone who got into RWBY because of BBTAG

I personally wouldn’t have a problem if they did an update for CF or CTB. When it comes to a new character they can add for CF, I am thinking it can be Taro or Shiori or anyone from Remix Heart or maybe Mai father, Houichirou though I can see him being the Gabriel of the series where he is the strongest character of the series but is just never playable (I hope this comment ages badly). As for Cross Tag Battle, I mean, I would like to see more characters in general. Doesn’t even have to be new sprites honestly. It can be characters like Tao, Bang, Londrekia, Wagner, and if they can make new sprites, I just hope for more RWBY characters. Yes, I know there are some people who don’t want a Blazblue that is like Strive but I honestly don’t mind since I do like Strive and honestly, if they want to make a new game, I would prefer it being a crossover rather then a new game. I just think it would be weird to have a new game where Ragna is just back after the ending of CF so I think a crossover would be a good excuse for him still being in the roster but it can also be a way to ease people into the next generation of Juusan is in the roster while having Lambda also being in the roster as a way to declone Nu and Lam but I am just rambling at this point. Whatever direction they go, I still hope it still has that vibe.

I really loved your take! I couldn't stay with BBtag because I felt like it was missing my favorite BlazBlue characters and it didn't have enough single player content like what you said. (I mostly care about arcade mode) A revamped/remastered version of BBtag would be so fun!!

I read the manga first and then watched the anime. The manga made me want to watch more. I bit surprised yet not disappponted by the difference. I love the manga, and i also love the anime, and somehow likes the difference. From the plot, characterization and then the ending, i enjoy both differently. And i actually liked that somehow the manga could help understand the anime better and vice versa despite the difference. Eureka Seven is still my number one favorite anime series.
