    Hopefully Intel gets the HDMI 2.0 3D playback issue fixed. I do have one on preorder. Looking forward to replacing my 5th Gen with this model.

    Will the 2.5" drive caddy fit in the i3 case? Thank you 🤓

    Glad to see the onboard Mic's are on a cable that can physically be disconnected. The only sure way to shut off the privacy intrusion is to not have a mic at all. Also, will this run on Win7 Pro or is the only option Win 10?
    Regarding functional lids; One where you can charge your phone wireless would be great.

    I'm having issues with the Infrared receiver of the Intel NUC7CJYH. The remote only works from a distance of 5 feet. I find that very akward... Bios is updated to the most recent version, and i tried OS like LibreElec, OpenElec, even win10. I also tried different remotes, they all work, but only from very close to the NUC...

      Sounds like there might be too much light pollution. Possibly from halogen bulbs? Try turning off all the lights and see if it helps. Also check if the face plate might be dirty.

    • @joerivankallo
      @joerivankallo 5 лет назад

      @@aaronrowsell8364 Thans for the tips, but none of them helped. Afaik InfraRed light has a totally different frequency than visible light. Lights in our living room are all leds. Faceplate is as clear as can be. Though after opening the case i noticed that the ir receiver led is positioned next to the power button and sits 3mm behind the hole where the ir lights must get through. The motherboard is correctly placed where it should be.

    No grafical memory of any kind? I haven't found any information on this, and nothing about the memory bandwith. So my guess is that is uses shared memory and take a bit, like 512MB or 1GB or the ram to allocate to that from the bootup or already in the bios. Would find it intressting to know so that I do not need to speculate :-) Thank you for the video.

    is it better to use 2.5inch ssd with optane, or an nvme only (in terms of performance)?

    • @simplynuc
      @simplynuc  7 лет назад +1

      Optane is more for accelerating a HDD rather than a SSD to get SSD like performance from a less expensive HDD.

    • @simplynuc
      @simplynuc  6 лет назад

      Optane works best with a 2.5 inch HDD making it perform like an SSD. There is minimal bump in performance with an SSD and Optane.
