Your "he might have been on duty not driving" at 6:45 comment was incorrect. They 70 hour max isnt just driving, its also on duty time. No matter what, if you have 72 hours worked, you have violated. No need to see the logs. You went on to say that the driver according to FMCSA may not drive beyond the 14 hours. Also incorrect, the limit is 11. The max on duty time is 14.
I so appreciate you explaining this while speaking english so fluently, and I wish all tutorials videos related to the profession was spoken in the way that you did it !!!
Truckers need to take the fmcsa to court over this shit. There is no need for the 14,34, 70 or 8 day. Give us a straight up 12 hour drive line with an 8 hour reset and an off duty line. When you stop your clock stops, that way if you feel tired you can pull over and nap without worrying if your 14 has caught up. Hell the only reason they even introduced these rules were to make it harder to back up your logs.
From those 3 hours you have to use only 2.Because if you use the last 3 hours you have available, automatically enter the 34 hours rule.So you should use only 2 hours and wait on until 12am Sunday mightning. And you will get 10 hours from the first day and 1 more hour from the last cycle of 70.
I was just thinking about that fact as well. He wouldn’t be able to work 10 hours on that Sunday. He would have to reset and watch football somewhere 🏈
Nice but I feel like you contradict when at 1:12 you point at "on duty not driving and it says "all gets counted" . Then at 8:23 you say that the question of violation cannot be answered since you dont know if the time after 70 hrs was driving or working. If you say the violation would only be for "driving" after 70 hrs then your saying that the "on duty not driving" hours ,which remember, "all gets counted", dont effect the 70 towards a violation.
You had it spot on. But it stopped abruptly, towards the end with 0 for the Saturday and 10 hours available for that Saturday, what happens on Sunday for recap if Saturday 9 days prior has 0?
Im also wondering about this, on my recap for today i only have 4.5 hours left, but technically i have 12.5 hours for tomorrow because that 1st day drops off.
This video is perfect for me. My company is trying to tell me that I'll get recap hours back on the 8th day. They're going to see when I only have 1-2 hours available on Tuesday
The hours you get back aren’t only for driving or just in general on duty ? I ask because if you have an 10 hour day or 8 hour day instead of a regular 14 not much driving you can do no? Because of fueling getting loaded unloaded etc
You should have stopped sooner on day 6 my friend and done a reset, because you were in violation after 10 hours on duty. 70 hours max in 8 days, 60 hours max in 7 days. And you would not have been able to move further on day 7 as the 60 hours in 7 days rule would have stopped you there again. On Sunday you could have proceeded with a fresh 70 clock as your 34 hour mandatory off duty reset would have been completed.
JOE--- THE EXAMPLE @8:30 ON THE RIGHT SHOWS SUNDAY WE WOULD GET BACK 10 HRS I UNDERSTAND THAT BUT DOES THIS MEAN AFTER THESE 10 HRS DO WE GET A NEW 70 HR CLOCK STARTING MIDNIGHT MONDAY OR DO WE TAKE OUR 34 HR RESET STARTING ON MONDAY IN ORDER TO GET OUR NEW 70 HR CLOCK ? THANKS--
No, there are some guys that are running and recaps and never do a 34 hour reset. As long as you manage your hours, you won’t need to take a 34 hour reset and can keep driving on recaps.
No, after the 8th day you get back the hours you had the first day you started driving. If you have the elog it will show you how many hours you will have under hours gained.
No. The violation still shows up, you must take a break, either enough to cover the violations and give you time to drive or take a 34 hour reset and restart your 70 hour rule
Funny how ya immediately assumed he went into violation driving the two hrs rather than worked. Lol truckers don’t have a chance, everyone automatically thinks the worst.

He was also in violation on day 6 and 7 at 62 and 67 hours, a driver can be on-duty a maximum 60 hours in a 7 day cycle.
Finally, best video I've seen so far explaining recaps.
I so appreciate you explaining this while speaking english so fluently, and I wish all tutorials videos related to the profession was spoken in the way that you did it !!!
Great video and tutorial. Great teacher

These have been the best HOS videos I've come across, and I have looked.
One of the best explanation I've come across. Nice
Finally somebody explaining this and making it simple stupid. THANK YOU
Thanks for the training you made it simple to understand and also the recap if you had to move
Thank bro🎉
2020 & this is the best video! Going to be starting with Schneider and want to understand the concept before going there and not knowing squat
Simple breakdown thanks!
Your video is simply explained and still helpful. Thank you.
This is what i needed thank you so much my trainer was trying to explain to me but i needed a visual to understand

If he stopped driving before the 70 was up, he could still be on duty and not go over
@@miketownsend7883 many thanks for that Mike.
Love this explaination 👍🙏
Explained very simple way!; Gracias amigo!.
de nada enchilada! 😂
Greatly explained!
hola, cuenta con una seosira en privado o un curso mas detallo y adecuado a mi negocio? si es asi favor de dejar correo. gracias
Simple and easy. Thx i don't understand why usa don't copy canada with the hos it is more simple when you work 2 weeks as a otr driver

Best explanation on RUclips.
So what about day 9? 34 hour reset?
This video is perfect for me. My company is trying to tell me that I'll get recap hours back on the 8th day. They're going to see when I only have 1-2 hours available on Tuesday
Thanks you for this video it cleared up a question I had. The question was whether the hours drop off from 8 days ago.
The hours you get back aren’t only for driving or just in general on duty ? I ask because if you have an 10 hour day or 8 hour day instead of a regular 14 not much driving you can do no? Because of fueling getting loaded unloaded etc
Fmcsa rules the 34 hour reset is not mandatory it a option for the 70 that will be giving back to a driver 11and the 8 is mandatory .
Assalamualaikum your invitation remained in my small room
The form your using of example do you have them online so I can download it to give to my driver
New h.o.s. regs start Sept. 29, 2020
Make sure you're up to date and taking advantage of them!
Very helpful appreciate it
Is that 10 hours of both onduuty driveing or just driveing
What happenes too the deleted hours?please explain.
They get added to your available hours
Good job. Wish everyone knew this
Nice explanation! What if I have 5 hrs left after day 8...do I lose those? Meaning I can only run on recaps after day 8?
If I got this right on the
9th day is what you got to work with. As a team driver how would you log it
Nice video
On duty not driving gives us more time?
Hi Susan, if you have on-duty time that can be places off duty that will give you extra time to your 70 hours.
Best recap video
Does off duty less than 10 hours & sleeper berth less than 8 hours count towards this rule?
But if you ran of of hours how can you go another 10 hours without doing a 34 hour reset?
hay I have a question what happens when you use you 5 hours for that day and you need to do it again would you then be in violation
Wow excellent
What about personal conveyance of I work 70 hours and I’m 2 hours from home can I use personal time to get home as long as I don’t have a load
Hey bud I’m the guy from thee vid. To answer your question, if you’ll get paid for those miles, no.
Shouldn’t it be 10+3 =13 since you had 3hr still you could use?
With the 8 days rule when you are gonna need the 34 hours reset? You are gonna have hours everyday.
Hit 65 and 58 the last two weeks...
All these #s are driving hours? or this includes on duty hours in your 70?
70 hrs includes on duty not driving and driving combined
Joe Moffa that sucks. Thank u
THANKS--
JOE MAFFA...I'M ALL SET FIGURED IT OUT.
So do you ever have to do 34 hour reset ?
Yes. Tomorrow, probably.
No, there are some guys that are running and recaps and never do a 34 hour reset. As long as you manage your hours, you won’t need to take a 34 hour reset and can keep driving on recaps.
Thank you 😊 I have question after 8 day u do reset my hours it mean I get 34
No, after the 8th day you get back the hours you had the first day you started driving. If you have the elog it will show you how many hours you will have under hours gained.
Very good illustration, although ELDs will do it automatically, I like to understand why I only have 6 hours and not 14.
In last part how many hours we will gain on sunday? Because Saturday hours are 0.
0,10,10,10,10,10,10 .....
Keep in mind he only used 60 hours so he still got 10 hour to make it 70 for The week
70 hour tops then reset 34 hours
How about if you have more then 70 hour how can you fix without violation
No. The violation still shows up, you must take a break, either enough to cover the violations and give you time to drive or take a 34 hour reset and restart your 70 hour rule
❤
Funny how ya immediately assumed he went into violation driving the two hrs rather than worked. Lol truckers don’t have a chance, everyone automatically thinks the worst.
14 hours per day is max bro. Smdh
