Thanks man. This is the only video on this exact subject I could find. The only thing is my day hours amounted to 8.25, no single digits. Anyway it's for my first week in CDL school.
The beginning of this video is correct. HOWEVER, when you do a full 34 consecutive hours off, your hours available for the week go back to 70. The rest of the 7 and 8 math stay the same, but hours available change.
The people whining about you not doing the 34 hour resets are being ridiculous. If you are working 5 day work weeks, it doesn't matter if you get 34 hour resets or not. You aren't going to use up your 70 hours in 5 days if you follow the 11 and 14 hour rules. 13.5 hours (fourteen less your 30 minute break) x 5 days is only 67.5 hours per week. Nice recap explanation. I didn't know coach drivers didn't get 34 hour resets. I'm a truck driver, but I have P and S endorsements, so that's good info to have.
Yes you aren't going to use 70 hours in 5 days but you don't need calculations at all drive 5 days after 2 days off you start new log with 70 hours very easy

4:19 God damn, my freakin' ears!!!!😵💫
He did a 34 hour rest on the 12th and 13th
Hey! Thanks for this video!! Question... What to put for the "recap day"? I totally forgot about that. I've been off the road for about 4 years😁

This is for motor coach. They do not have the reset like trucks
Only for trucks. Not passenger coaches
this was a good explication. nice work.
explication? you mean, explaination
MATH WRONG ON DAY 16!
Walk that clock . Best to do it every day it will be easier and keeps you moving and working less than 9.5 hrs a day to walk that clock .
What happened to your restart on the 12 th and 13 th ?
This is for motor coach logging. They do not have 34hr reset like semi trucking.
The above reference is doubly lucky. I can't make sense of the small numerals in the class am taking at the Virginia systems.

You have 2 days off that automatically gives you 70 hours without this bls calculation

There is no restart regarding bus! Truck drivers yup, can restart
Never mind the fact that your math is wrong. Your example shows you taking 48 hours off meaning that you reset your clock
this vid is for cdl b passengers.. there is no reset for hours like trucks get
