Maxsisun MF 2000 PAR Test and Review

- The Maxsisun MF-2000 is a nice mid-size quantum board style grow light. It has great components with Samsung LM 281b+ diodes and a Mean Well Driver. It also features a remote control dimmer, thick heat sink, and a reflector.
Unlike most brands that sell on Amazon, Maxsisun provides credible data. They post a legitimate Sphere test report and advertise an honest 2.1 µmol/w. In my book, Maxsisun gets a lot of credit for posting legitimate PPF data.
I run it through 2 PAR tests, analyze the numbers and the maps, and test out the remote control dimmer! The MF 2000 has top end components, over 3 diodes per watt, gets good efficiency, and it will light up 6 square feet with excellent density. I own the MF1000, and two pb1500’s which I love. The pb1500s don’t have ir but still produce good Medicine. I’m about to replace them with two of these mf2000s which I think is a smart move. The main drawback to Maxsisun is when you ask a question, they always reply with next to no info and go right to, “would you like to buy this light”? I asked them four separate times if buying the mf2000 would be better then the pb2000 pro or two pb1500. They never answered me and just told me that it’s preference of the grower… really… but I’m going to stick with them, great light in my opinion. Been considering ParfactWorks also.

really would like you to do more par test videos on other grow light brands. i recently bought a unit far ufs 3000 for 100$ on amazon but little info about it.

Food for thought if considering Maxsisun. Their support is nonexistent these days. I’ve sent out 2 emails w/o a response. Seems already buying one light and considering more and then emailing them with questions is not important to Maxsisun. I had high hopes for these guys based on this video and @Bill Johnson follow up in the comments. Seems they really cared about their consumers. Unfortunately I was wrong and will be considering other companies at this point.
So would I be better with this or Mars TS 2000 ? Both on sale today. 2.5 x 2.5 tent.

The TSW is more powerful, but actually has fewer diodes. The TSW could cover 3x3. I think the MF2000 is perfect for 2.5x2.5

Would 2 MF 2000's be enough for a 4x4 tent? Thank you!
I'm looking at the same scenario and I think 4 MF1000s would do better as you could separate them by a few inches to overcome the falloff on the ends at 4ft. It would cost the same as 2 MF2000s and you can program 1 remote to run them all in unison.

Was just looking at these for prime day....the remote puts me off..prefer buttons.
Hi there, can you share your ideas with us? Why do you prefer buttons? With the remote, you can adjust the brightness accurately, offer different brightness for different growth stage plants by grouping, and don't need to open the tent's door - if you are growing with grow tent - the CO2 will be locked inside the tent.
I feel like remote operation is just something added that could also break and make the light unusable.s
Extra feature I have no interest in really. I would have definately considered buying this if it also includes button operation w/ remote. But I went with a competitor.
@@generaldisarray1287 Got you. If we add one dimmer to this light, you can use the dimmer knob to adjust the brightness when the remote fails. At the same time, contact us to get a replacement remote. What do you think?
@@pongbill5835 yes, that would in my opinion would take away some insecurity, as you said you can replace the remote, but if I'm taking care of sensitive plants and I have no way of controlling the light while I wait for a new remote.

Wow!! Just one is great for 3x2 size, To me, I believe 3 of them you should be doing real well for 4x4 area!!

@@bocooley3320 Perfect, thank you! Since these were rated for 6.4 sq ft and I have 16 sq ft in the 4x4 I figured my only options were going underpowered with 2 lights or overpowered with 3 haha!
Always better to have a little more power than not enough. I would hang them high and run a total of about 550 watts (by dimming slightly). Grower Love

Just got a mf1000 from amazon for 61.99
A lot of people got replies saying they won,or on the short list of winners,including me. It came with a contact number. Are those legit? I’m not sure I understand,I thought that there was only one prize to giveaway. Anyone have an answer? I don’t know what to do.
Unfortunately it is a scam. They steal my image and then try to steal your CC info. I fight them off all the time. Be careful - We will never ask you to send payment - and I do not contact people from scammy accts with phone number usernames!

I think there's a flaw in the heatsink. That embossed light shade is placed between the heat sink and the LED array and that reduces the contact and heat transfer between the two. I've also added a heat sink to driver because it gets unreasonably hot... Wish I had the cabling to move the driver outside the tent.

There is no manual dimmer …… if that remote shits the bed ,,,, its no good anymore, ugh ,……. and its about 90degrees at 40 % …… uh boy ….. my cheap 70 dollar no name posley light kind of blows this out the water i think not sure what it will do because its only been 1 day but i alreadh returned the ligh i got before because of loose parts inside light .. not maxi sun but we will see what is goingvto happen ….
I like the review but the way of narrating makes it hard to follow and it's a bit irritating, it seems that there is no cohesion in the sentences as if each sentence was a chapter of a book. Nothing that can't be fixed.
