I'm so glad a came across this video. You covered well beyond other people's grow light demonstrations here on utube. I own a 2x2.5 tent & this would be perfect grow light for such a cheap price. Look forward to watching more of your videos happy growing ✌️
The only thing you could have expanded on was getting numbers in a 3x3 tent which they actually reference for a VEG stage. I bought one of these for their 4/20 event sale and it is awesome to see such an in depth analysis. Great job.
I got the p600 updated, very happy with the price which was half the cost, the diodes configuration and output for drawage ratio, gives this light a run for it's money at half the cost.it couldn't lay a glove on this light for coverage though.
I just got the XS2500 Pro and it's so much better than my T5 4 foot 8 bulb. The LED is as bright if not brighter at 20% than my T5 was with 200 watts and 4 bulbs on. It's a lot less bulky and big too. I can still use my T5 for vegging or clones but I'm getting way less heat and using way less electricity using the LED so I might even get another smaller one for clones. I can always start a 2 light rotation like I used to have but I'll have to buy another tent cause I sold my other one. I used to have 2 T5 8 bulbs and one tent was veg and one was flower. I had a perpetual garden going.
I'm from EU too and I want this light so badly for my 2x2. The problem is even original XS1500 isn't available here. Only XS1000 and XS2000 which sucks. XS1000 is not enough. Maybe XS2000 could be run at 75% but it seems too big for 2x2, it's more suited for rectangular space like 3x2.
It would be interesting to see how this light performed compared to itself without the lens cover attached. I think multiple cheaper diodes per watt is the future in LEDs regardless of lenses.
I am using this for my first grow in germany :D We just decriminalized 3 Plants but can only harvest 50g Dry XD Still its something. so we grow for quality only scince Jields arend that big of a deal... I’m debating on getting the Aglex m400 it’s the 2x4 version of your light they claim to have ur and ir… I was curious if your light does? I had the Aglex con 3000 … it was a monster light pushing over 600 watts ! That’s what has me on the edge of trying ther bar lights … that 650 u got lookin nice 👍
Thank you for all the information you provide and your channel is awesome! Love the content please keep it up. If I win this light I’ll give it to my less fortunate friend that can’t afford it. I recommended it to him and he has a lot of cheap Amazon leds but this would be perfect for him thank you 😊
Nice testing ! I would have been interested in how the light performs above the 60x60 area, because I would like to run it in a 80x80 cm tent. Would you recommend for this size ?
New sub. I have the green Viparspectra lights. I have a grow room too. And, I bread new beans. The plant in my thumbnail picture is my Orange Crunch Cake.
I see they also offer a XS 2500 which is two of the 1500s connected. Based on your data, it would also be a good option for a 2 x 4 also correct? Another thing that would be a great addition to your reviews would be controller compatibility .. will it work with the most popular environment controllers… VIVOSUN and AC INFINITY controllers. Both of the devices are compatible with other lights, but it would be great to have someone verify that they work because there are some reviews of certain lights that say they work with the devices but when people get them in hand and try to plug them up, they won’t even connect. Great reviews are a lot of information
As of february of 2024 the xs1500pro no longer comes with any samsung diodes. Some claimed it came with m281 i believe and some with meanwell powersuply in 2023. Now its a sosen driver. The early models in the manual specificed the m281 leds. My manual doesnt. But its definetly more powerfull and better par than the xs1500
Perfect in a 4 x 2. Manual even shows how far apart to space the lights for perfect coverage. The new XS 3000 Pro is just 2 of these with bars connecting them and one removable driver for both. I prefer using 2 XS 1500 Pros because they can also be used separately in 2 x 2s.
@@jimjones6421 Jim, you only need 2 in a 2 x 4. Three will cause a light overlap with plant damage. That happened to the Maine grower on his youtube channel. That is why the instructions say to space them 9.4 inches apart in the 2 x 4.
Ok, I’m a bit confused. The Samsung diodes on their write up, claim they are using lm301b. Actually using lm281b….so, your saying it’s an awesome light, however with these diodes, does it really make a big difference? It’s a good price, does anyone have some info for me? Thanks!!
The lens are helping these leds direct their light better. Wish they would have used the new 301h’s in this light. But by using the lens and allowing them to use cheaper led’s u can buy this little power house with discount code for $88! It makes this tiny light one of the best grow lights for the price, and not just a opinion when u measure it out it’s .30$ I think.27$ cents is the cheapest Best Buy light there is. So vipar spectra was really close to having best deal of all time. U usually have to buy a big light to get a deal like this. I bet vipar spectra is kicking their self for not using the best led in this light and won that title of best money light on the market. But better leds might have drove prices to high
the only problem with this is there is no full flexible dimmer, it's a shame. i would use only 162/176 watt for a 2x4 but i can't if i buy 2 of this. with no flexible dimmer il would be limited at 2x75watt (wich is too low) or to 2x110 watt who is too much electricity, this fixture is perfect in every aspect for a 2x2, but not for a 2x4 because of the absence of flexible dimming.
Absolutely fantastic! I now have incredible data on my new lights. And a confirmation that it was a great purchase. Thanks. PS Looks like I should hang the lights about 13" above the canopy for maximum consistency and adjust the dimmer for the ppfd. Only shame is not having a variable dimmer. That would have completed the coup de gras.
lights are doing jumps and bounds in efficiency, but the genetics is still 80% of the final product ,so many focus on grow gear and fail to focus on the genetics

Yeah but how hot do they run. This is something no one ever talks about. The light can be great but if it runs too dang hott than i can't mess with it. Hot lights only work on when they are all the way at the top of the tent so the inline fan can take that heat out
