I don't get to review lights this good very often. This is one of the best I've seen. A blend of innovation, excellent quality and performance at a great price. I've liked all the Viparspectra grow lights I have reviewed but this is another step up.
The PAR map it produces is best in class. The LEDs are protected and the light is distributed by acrylic lenses which do an amazing job of delivering almost perfect uniformity over a small area at a low hanging height. This format is very innovative and very well executed.
Congratulations to Viparspectra.

Thanks, Shane! Enjoyed the discount 🎉
Always great info on the light and a great show
WOW! Really impressive distribution.
Thank you for the test 🤗
Been rocking with Viparspecta over a decade now. Solid legit company.
I have grown some phenomenal plants under viparspectra
what a cute little light. I love it.
Wow that’s really impressive Shane but I’m still gonna be getting your MiGrow UV 300 for this grow brother God bless you and thanks for sharing your wisdom and making great videos 💙👍👏🌱⚡️☀️🔌
100k soon Shane!! LFG!!!!
Thank you!
Just bought my second one today. This is the best beginner/veg/small LED I've ever used.
Very well put together and thought out light for the size of the board. Viparspectra did very well with this one. Good work guys the lense system and positioning is the way forward on getting the light to go deeper and spread out to the corners properly without creating a hot spot in the middle and without creating a expensive big light that sprawls across the whole square of the tent. Science led were on to something good with using specialized lenses of different types in different possitions to get good light power at angles not usually possible without the lenses far away from the actual board. It also helps with good strong light to penetrate a lot deeper down too. Good to see someone else finally use this tech effectively and comming in at lower costs to the customers. These should work extremely good when bigger types are made and multiple lights are being used in a room. The plants should be able to pick up high light power from multiple different angles.
I love this light
Sending good vibes brother just got myself viparspectra light myself good for 2x2 as mentioned N running smoothly so far gromies 🏴💚🌱🤞🍀👍✌️💯😎
I'm glad I bought one of these now 💯🇬🇧🌿🔥
Just picked one up for 99 bucks for my seedlings, so far they love it, just not at the light intensity recommended by the manufacturer. I have mine hanging about 20 inches and dimmed to 25%. Great light especially for the price.
Just got it for my first grow. Cant believe its finally legalited in germany ❤
Wo hast du die Leuchte her?
too bad the price is insane in europe
Kommt niemals an die Leuchten von Pro-Emit ran.😊
That’s a genius design excellent
I bought one of these after watching the video. It’s a very nice light. Surprisingly
THANKS FOR SHARING
Damn, that drop off with no walls is impressive. Now if I could just be bothered getting a scrog and filling the canopy
Thank you Shane, I have bought two.
Just wow 👍
Awesome! What I would really like to see is comparisons of these for 4x4 and 5x5s, where instead of one larger light, four smaller ones are used. 600w cs. 600w, but possibly more uniform? and cheaper! Those are 100 dollars with discounts, which makes for a 600w 4x4 coverage over 900 PPFD for around 400 USD. That is pretty damn good.
That's how I slowly added to my 5x5-ish spot! ViparSpectra p1500, then another, then a 300w Mars panel light plus those ha
Do you think 4 lights would create more heat??
@@JoeySav0418 Heat would be about the same if the driver efficiency and number of LEDs were equal.
Picked one up last week... by far superior to all the other viparspectra ive used. Its a insane light
In 4 years we've gone from Mars Hydro TS1000 (bought it based on your "game changer" review in 2019) to this. Amazing times! Definitely getting myself one of these. Sanlight does lenses and they do work like magic just as on this one, but the price is in a totally other class. Thanks for another excellent review Shane! ✌🏻 I've gotten a couple of lights based based on them along the years, including an Aray 3, keep up the amazing work.
This light looks great, making me want a 2 x 2
Awesome!
I bought a Viparspectra P600 a couple of years ago, it replaced a 250w HPS that I was using in a mother/cloning tent, was blown away by how well it performed and began to make plans to replace both my 600w HPS in my flower tents with a couple of the bigger Viparspectra units in each, then the P600 only lasted only 6/7 months until I opened my tent one morning to find it in almost darkness, just a few of LED's were on and flickering, still well within warrantee I contacted Viparspectra thinking they would send me a replacement or repair my faulty light, no, the best they could offer me was another P600 that they said made a buzzing sound when switched on but otherwise nothing was wrong with it!! Theyre meant to be silent so one thats buzzing is faulty too no? That was my first and last experience with Viparspectra.
That’s insane man and the damage a light that is flickering or off can cause to a grow is crazy man. I don’t under stand why this companies are like that if they would just honor things that would be the best advertising 🤦🏽♂️
Thx

Shit bro I've just purchased one of these xs1500 pro things 🤣
@@Spiderdan-59had them for years I've bot had an issue
This lil light can definitely throw off enough light to use in a 3×3 respectively let alone a 2×2. The lenses really help uniformity. I have 2 of these & a migro array 4 in a 4×4. In the middle separating the led lights I have A 90watt 660nm led bar-light, a rapidled 730nm puck , 2 T5HO bar light setup with agromax pure par veg uv & uva+, last 2-3 weeks I swap out the pure par veg bulb for the AgroMax Pure Uvb bulb. It's like growing terps on glass 😂🎉💣💨 every spectrum from 285nm-730nm in correct ratio.. grown holistically in amended ROLS with biofertilizers & biostimulants with organic/veganic topdressings & compost teas. Mixed in with the right PGRP / microbial strains 2 weeks in advance ❤ = taking it to a whole new level..
I've grown different hydro, coco & soil-less media runs & since I went DeepOrganics style I'll never switch back. The yields, flavors, scents, terp profiles , thc & cannabinoid levels are mind blowing 🤯 I can't believe I wasted 10yrs on hydro.
i have had nothing but good results with their pro 2000 green colored panels. Have bought 3 of them growing carnivorous plants and have never seen better growth. Im going for there new model that is basically two of the light you just reviewed attached together....
Using one now alongside the older model, brilliant light, the covers over the diodes actually stop a lot of heat getting down to the canopy too 👊💚
With led lights the canopy needs the heat
@@chrisfernandes3730 following a VPD chart requires temperatures of around 20 towards the end of flower which can be difficult to achieve with a light on full in a tent.

Hi Shane thanks for another great review, I shall be purchasing a few of these I think. Have you heard of voost led lights made in Birmingham UK? I would be interested to hear your expert opinion on these lights. Keep up the great content!
I have the older XS1500 that I have used for 2 years now, I love it, but now watching this, I kinda want one of these too now. Even thou I already have 4 lights in total now. Maybe for xmass I get another one. Cant go wrong with ViparSpectra.
They’re having a 30% off sale on 4/20 fyi
thanks!
Believe me, acrylic doesn't affect anything as far as I'm aware. I have the Daylight Maxibright 200 with absolutely no problems at all for well over a year.
This new light has everything including an affordable hobby price. Thanks for the review ✌️
I've been using the older model and it's a great light for the price. It's worked well for years now. Good build quality
Thanks for sharing
I agree! I've had 4 of their green colored PS-1500's(150W) for more than a few years now. Got them when they had a great sale (around $65 each!).
I've used the 4 in a 4x4 tent for awhile and they're putting out plenty of light, to my surprise.
Really great for plants that may be growing at different heights, as they can be individually raised, or lowered, if needed.👍💯🙏✌️

Superb review
I bought one of these because of this video and it’s great but I’ve been trying for a week now to dial in the par. I’m a month into veg growing a kimbo kush and my par is around 350 but I had it at 450 last week and it did not like it. But yeah i definitely like the light so far. Great price too
As always, thanks for providing such great content Shane. I've been growing indoors in 4x4 and 2x2 grow tents for about 3 years now and have only used Viparspectra lights. I have used both the XS2000 and XS4000. The main issue (if you want to call it an issue) I have had with both lights is them being TOO powerful, and following Viparspectra's height/power recommendations. I have been hesitant on purchasing an Apogee meter because of the price. Not until I saw your video review on the Photone app could I get a rather accurate reading of the PPFD coming from these lights. I was burning my plants based on the hanging height/power recommendations from Viparspectra. After using the Photone app, I kept the recommended hanging distance the same, but realized that I needed to reduce the power to around 60%-70% once in the the pre-flowering stage (to get a 900-1000 PPFD reading) compared to the 100% recommendation from Viparspectra. I was getting crazy high readings of 1500+ PPFD at 100%. I no longer burn my plants with these lights now that I use the Photone app based on your recommendation. Thanks for enlightening all of us with your knowledge/insights!
Great to hear I could help you with your setup😉
The photone app reliable enough?
@@thatdude421 Depends on the quality of the camera in your phone. "Out of the box" it can be far off with cheaper phones. With a high end phone, after calibration (the app has easy calibration built in) with a proper PPFD sensor Photone can be almost as reliable as a proper PPFD sensor.
@@hannujar most people use photone because they don't have a standalone par meter and without calibration photone is basically useless regardless of camera quality.
@@thatdude421 photone isn't optimized for all/most devices so it's pretty much a random guess
cheers sir
Just ordered 1 off of Amazon 5 minutes ago for $79 ❤❤
Looks like the juice is worth the squeeze.👍
Looks like a great light for the price! Would the lack of far red in the spectrum effect flowering?
Ive been looking at this. Was wanting to add one to my 3x3 but cant tell if my Higroplanner and that would be overkill.
@migro wich led do you recommend the mars hydro ts 1000 or the viparspectra xs1500? For a 70x70 tent? Thank you very much for the answer
Been waiting for this to drop but im in the UK, Any idear when they will add it to the uk site?
Just bought this light. How far should I keep from autoflowers and at what percentage?? Thank you
As of february 2024. Warranty is now really 90 days free labour shipping and replacement parts then to a year its free but u pay shipping. And then from first to second year, only labour is covered nothing more. The xs1500pro no longe ruse samsung LM281 but “new SMD technology” all the reviews are from the first production run who use the LM281. But i compared the xs1500 to the pro version with my photone app the pro is a lot more powereful, efficient and better spread. But very dissapointing a company like viparspectra to do this. Testers get the lm281 diodes some got them with meanwell drivers then they switch to no name leds.
i was on the fence about this light.....not anymore with your recommendation!
Thanks for the review. The fixture looks very promising and I almost decided to buy it, but unfortunately it's affordable only in the US. Anywhere else the price is double which is quite ridiculous, as no tax can explain such a drastic increase in price. And it applies to all their products.
ViparSpectra keeps proving over and over that quality and efficacy doesn’t have to break the bank like so many other companies. Just picked up a KS3000 and OMG, what a stupidly good light. Blows everything out of the water I currently have! By far the best light out there, at a reasonable cost! Every other company should feel ashamed their lights aren’t as good for more money! No way I’m gonna spend good money on 281B diodes that most companies are using!
100%
One caveat for those of us in the EU. This light cost $109 (€101) in the US, or...€254 in the EU! I kid you, not.
I contacted Viparspectra to query this, and they told me that "we do not recommend customers to compare prices in different countries."
luv my migro
@Migro Will these be available in the EU?
The VS XS1500Pro....$85 Amazon lightning deal, in a AC CLOUDLAB 632 - 35x23x71. It is a beast, I run (2) Fems topped twice on a 13/11 cycle in flower, packs the tent. I do hang a pair of Mars Hydro VG40R Adlites which gives it another 40W of deep red. (Total 195.4W@100% according to my watt meter). Very happy with the VP. I will get a backup. Cool, quiet, low heat, inexpensive,..In VEG 75%(118W). At flipping 75% plus the adlites(155W). Then I turn to 100% after about 3 weeks into flower(195W). To optimize the performance I do know that Genetics is always key. But for that kind of Wattage that runs for a few nickel's a day...you can't beat it.
Seem ideal to put 4 into a 6x6. Thoughts shane?
Just ordered one today and viparspectra may be using older Samsung diodes 281b but the fact that the outer edge par tests are so good it just shows that you Don't need the latest diodes or the most expensive light to hit your target.
@ migro I love your honesty and been watching many many videos of lights and just learning.
Thank you for being 💯 with your results and honesty.
It's funny how a person on Amazon who says their using pro lights doesn't understand what this light means for further innovations.
Yes I get what you pay for.
Got my viparspectra xs pro for $50 off knocking it under $100.00 US dollar.
Imo I can't wait to start my 1st grow and I'm really hoping to have 1 More of these by winter.
Thanks
In Europe it costs 270€ / 290$ . Do you really mean XS Pro 1500 ?
Yeah man, I got mine on a prime sale day, $65. Right now they are 89. Worth it
@@MIGROLIGHT biased reviews
i went with a Phlizon FD-4500 for the same price. thats like 3 times the light you get for the money here in EU. With same diodes but 4 times more. Thanks Shane for all the tests, so i could make up my mind and get the best bang for the buck! Cost me 255 euro. And got a 190 euro controller for free too. Now that the Germans can buy prices have doubled btw.
I've bought the xs2500 two sets of them to cover a 4x4 tent absolutely amazing LED's
Now if I can find some cannabis to grow that resembles the old stuff... haven't gotten a good buzz in six years...not fond of the new age hybrids!
How you finding the 2500? What canopy height do you like for seedlings?
Just picked one up for starting veggies. I plan to use it on thirty-six 3.5" x 3.5" square pots. I'm very curious to see how it compares to my GroWealth G1500.
Hi !
Are the plants liking the grow light ? 😎
Just bought 2 of these to replace my 8 tube florescent 15 year old T5 HO 2x4 light. The ballasts on a couple tubes gave up the ghost, so converting to LED. Am thinking two 2x2 coverage fixtures will be better than one 2x4 so i can play with height differences as my seed starts grow. i'm excited by the added color spectrum, light dimmer vs just switching off tubes. Some great innovations i'm looking forward to using.
really i dont think I ever heard one single lie on this Migro channel and mister Shane is a good businessman not even promoting his own branded lights, but actually test the competition and fully unbiased as well. You might be the one full of crap!@@EricCheetoh
@@EricCheetoh I decided to clown test you on this by watching the video that you referenced. He mentioned that he would not recommend a light that was under 2 efficiency for PPFD/watt. He makes no recommendations based on total watts power consumed for a light.

Would this Or could this work with my 205 watt Optic 2 or is it too much light ! Got 12.5 ozs last run !
This light overpowers my 2 x 2.5 tent easily. 75% is plenty
hi Shane, why cant people buy GLS or Maxsisun Lights anymore on your website?
Viparspectra should make a scorpion diablo style fixture with 6 of these in an array
I was going to get two of these for my 2x3 or should I just go with the ac s33 and run at 80%
What happened to the spot on par meter?
The MIGRO Aray 2 consumes less power, espeically with LED driver outside the tent, less cooling/fan power. Plus it's a modular system.. it's what we switched to .. MIGRO Aray 8's in multple 4x4 tents... and MICRO Aray 1 for seedlings.
have you used this before?
@migro can you test out the spiderfarmer g1000w
Damn, twice the price in the UK. Will these really grow any better than the Aray 2 though?

your over stretching the lights capability
@@89turbomk3 lol don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Plenty of people vegging tables with 200 watts. So for pepper and tomato seedlings it covers that no problem. I don’t care about all the science about it I just care that all the plants are green and healthy.

I would rather get 4 of these for a 4x4 then a big light. More flexibility for early growth (shut down a few lights) and possible different hanging heights in later stages. Or maybe get only 3 of them to have room for big tower ventilator in one corner.
