I’ve been using Hasselblad for the greater part of my career in fashion and beauty photography. Always loved their cameras, but 10 years ago, I went on using full frame mirrorless cameras. I wasn’t impressed by the original X1D, but a few years ago I picked up a MkII and fell in love again. Nothing comes close to Hasselblad, when it comes to skintones and difficult textures like dark silk and linen. I now use mostly an X2D in the studio, next to an SL2 and my personal M10-R. This new CFV combined with the 907 looks gorgeous. Unfortunately I don’t own any 500-series anymore. Otherwise I’d buy this beauty in a heartbeat. Great studio and location camera.
Way back in the late 70's I worked as an apprentice photographer for a large company in London, you can imagine how thrilled I was to be the first in the department to use our new Hasselblad 500c on a no-fail assignment, anyway, someone forgot to tell Hasselblad it was a no-fail job and the brand new film back failed to advance the film. I've been a bit nervous of Hasselblads since then.
There really is something magical about Hasselblad’s. The clarity and color from these cameras is simply stunning.
Simply Wow!!! I probably will never be able to afford one but I want one. Looks so very well engineered. Thank you for showing it off so well.
I do photography as hobby, but I get inspired by your videos. Hugs from Brazil 🙌🙌🙌🇧🇷

that feeling of a new toy, it's showing on your face :")))
Awsome review. Thks
New Flash adaptor bracket can be seen in their promotional video and on their website - at last
Very helpful video!
Thank you 😂 This video answered many of my question
excellent intro.
The new digital back can easy be attached on the 500c.
But do the lenses, the 150mm, the 100mm, the 50mm the 250 satisfy the 100mm sensor.
Jet i didnt see any fotos (at 100%) made that way.
Another thing:
The new digital back doesn t suit th the SWC.
Why?
The H-lenses aren’t as good as these new V-lenses, but the H6D also had 100MP and the lenses were able to resolve that. You could see a clear difference between the 50MP H6D and the 100MP version.
@@jacobh5817 hi, thx for your answer, but i was talking about c lenses, not the H series.
They are ok with the 50mb sensor of the X1D II, (i tried them) but do they resolve brilliant enough the 100mp?¿?
If they do not, the whole story of the 100mb digit back is fine for the 500cm...is critical to be seen.
Maybe, they produce a fine vintage tough with these lenses.
another question:
What ist the reason that the 100mb digital back does n work with the SWC?
The mechanics, the distances from camera body to the film magasin ist identical with the measuremens of the 500cm.
Hi Mark! Subscriber here. Being able to change the old Hasselblad cameras to digital is a game changer. What is the current price for this new camera? Thanks!
H&B sells the digital back for about 6500 USD (that I checked today).
The whole idea to be able to mount it to 500 series bodies and plates is just honor and respect to Hassy's legacy and legendary lenses. There is no need to buy new modern digital lenses, as one can use their collection or began a one.
This is a digital back that every professional studio/still/landscape photographer should get (no, that doesn't include RUclips content creators, but professional photographers that's main income is the work).
Cool vid, great camera, stunning images. Aperture f6.8? Never heard of, f6.7 for half stops, maybe. But - does Hasselblad go in tenths of stops? Sorry if question sounds stupid, amateur Sony shooter here...
Celsius.

why is bill burr tellig me about cameras?
This is interesting, engaging, worthwhile content.
I am extraordinarily grateful for your posting it!! !.
However, the intro music you chose is 100% AWFUL!!!!!!;...&, The mid-music selection was mixed in volume levels that were: far, far, too loud!! !.
&,...
You included some nice tech details on the camera; &, some good general photography pointer-tips; in your small video piece.
&,
You seemed to have --->>>nothing at all negative to say about this particular piece of camera gear; &, its' accessories; therefore, it seems most fair to say that was not a well-balanced; &, very objective tech gear review by you.
907X CFV50c owners will be furious and salivating at the same time - me for example
I will still cherish my 50 CFV, because it can do video. My upgrade path will be the X2D when the time comes
Me too! 😅
Why don't I have a youtube channel? How many people got this camera for free?
Looks like everyone’s getting paid to post glowing reviews of a really obscure and impractical camera.
My preference is to use film on my original Hasselblad bodies, but why do you say it is impractical?
Hi, it seems it is not for low-light situations. I wonder about the image quality without all those gears you are using. thank you.
Again commercial.... like everything, everywhere... turns into commercial... bad!
Why do people use the word "huge"? It's still the 44x33mm baby medium format size. It just has more megapixels. What Hasselblad could do to be more innovative is actually make the sensor bigger, but with fewer megapixels. I feel like the megapixel wars of 2006-2008 are back, and people in 2010 used to make fun of how silly that period was...
They don't produce sensors.
Not that huge. Still smaller than 645. LOL
