Die-Hard Rangers fan here but much respect to the Carolina Hurricanes. They are an outstanding team. The Rangers had to give them 100% of their best to beat them. Very difficult series to win. Carolina are an exhausting team to keep up with. So much speed with constant dumping and shooting the puck.
Canes fan here, congrats on winning the series, this was a fun series to watch, and to see our team come back and win two straight and almost win three straight after going down 3-0 was astounding. In the end, you guys never gave up and kept playing even when the chips were down, so hats off and best of luck going forward! Let's go Canes!

When the Rangers scored to make it 3-2, the ice seemed to tilt a bit toward Andersen. The Rangers now have real hope of tying it up, while Canes (fans and players) think "are we gonna blow this lead now, when we're so close to forcing a game 7?" Major change in energy and vibe for both teams - they are now playing differently than they had been a minute ago. Canes are tighter and less confident; Rangers are now skating hard and fighting for pucks. It has happened a million times in the NHL playoffs.

Rangers fan here. Mad respect to this canes team. They didn’t stop fighting down 3-0 and they genuinely had me worried that they might take the series with how great they were playing.
Canes style is not built well for late games. They are high octane all game but ran out of gas the last 10 minutes. There was a dramatic shift in energy and Rangers had so many chances. It was like a different game. Great series overall. Very entertaining.
@@bearwooden660 It works against poor teams and mediocre goalies. In the playoffs, they just don’t have the game breaking players to beat elite goalies. I think you need a balance. You want guys who hustle but also ones who can score in big moments.

I really wish Kreider would’ve said “We will win tonight” prior to the game. Pretty crazy! I remember watching Kreider as a rookie first year in and he’s always been my favorite player! Dude is such a beast to turn it on like this and just score 3. Prior to him getting that tip in the rangers were flat- not doing much. It really swung the whole teams energy. Unreal game.
