Big dogg, I popped my achilles on Thanksgiving day at 27 tryna relive old glories on the football field... I'm hanging up the cleats for good. Going from being in shape and active to bed bound killed my mental. Its been 7 months since I had surgery and I still can't run or jump.

This story really hits a nerve for me. I never played football in high school. It is something I wish I would have done. I had friends on the team who were a few years younger than me and we would have pickup games all the time. After high school I worked retail for 3 years, all the while I practiced and hoped to one day play semi pro and get my chance to play in a real football game there was no money or anything and I would never make a higher level. I just wanted to have the chance to play football for a real team. I would talk high school and collage players all the time who would tell me I could make it even though I have never played high school if I was tough enough. I started working construction for a while and when I had been there a few weeks I was loving the way things were going. I had just played a scrimmage with some friends and played really really well and I remember thinking, next year I will be playing. It was probably only a few days latter and I was lifting buckets of concrete out of a basement window at a bad angle we must have done 300 a day. Because of this I developed really bad chronic pain in both my wrists. Doctors told me it was carpal tunnel, but it came on really quick like in only a few days both my hands were numb. I had to quite my job and didn't work for months, and knew that there was no way I would ever ever be able to play semi pro. I was really bummed at first, and it was hard for me to watch football games because I knew that I was never going to get to do that. All that said after a while I have moved on. Luckily the condition did get better though treatment and now I have a good job although I still have to be carful and sometimes wear a brace most days I am OK and don't notice it that much. I am grateful to God I can still do most of the things I like to do, even though I will probably never be able to play in compete football. But life is more that football anyway, at least I have all my fingers and twos a house and family that loves me and that is more important. God let my dreams be broken but he has better things planed for me, and God will never give up on you, he has plans to make your life great.

I had a chiropractor and neurologist put me under to stretch the ligaments and muscles to push my bulging disc's back in. As an athlete going to med school and a new baby, did not want surgery. It worked. Been 25 years. Take it easy. Praying for you. Proud of you since you were young, still proud of all you have done!!!

Thank God that you are doing great! I watched that game with my 20 year old son and was shocked at what happened. We immediately prayed. You do what you need to do for yourself! You are an inspiration for all of us, even myself (52 year old) I had a crazy accident that caused me to not have movement in my left thumb. Long story. I was determined to get it back and watching your videos with my youngest son inspired me to deal with the pain and do what has to be done. Sorry for the chasing rabbits, lol. Much love. 😊❤
