We’re all here for you Dee. My first season right before I became a freshman in high school I dove for a ball and landed on my shoulder. I ended up breaking my collarbone in 2 places. Your injury is worse then what mine was but it also could be worse than it is right now. It’s just a tiny obstacle in life. you just have to keep going and persevere. Your whole fanbase is here to support you through this. It has been awesome watching your journey and I hope I have the same amount of success you have had once I graduate from high school. Can’t wait to see how much stronger you become once you are healed.

@@bigsearcy23 not really, you dont see kickers 99% of the time make tackles because they know they arent going to stop a dude twice there weight and size so the act like theyre going to tackle just to "barely" miss. there job is to kick the ball. destroying just trying to prove himself and look how that turned out. think about it, if he made that tackle he would have that as a thumbnail or his highlight real the very start of his video. if he purposely missed that kick the coach wouldve said something but at the end of the day he wouldnt have cared. dumb part of him and shouldve stayed out the way and he knows it.

Neck injury like that is advisable not to play or you might not walk away. All it takes is a little more pressure on collapsing discs and you are partially paralyzed by pinched nerves. The pain never really goes away but you become numb to the fact you are hurting. Your body kind of contorts and adjusts for you. You could always have the surgery but that also comes with a long list of negatives. After a few years your nerves just die and you don’t hurt as bad. Sadly it’s probably time to investigate other things in life that don’t require possibly re injuring the neck.

@@Mobuis500 shouldn't if your teammates get the tackle before it gets to you, but if they don't, it's the kicker's job to try to make the tackle. He said it was just bad form. Gotta get those kickers getting more reps doing form tackles in practice for this reason. That hit stick he delivered was strong tho - had he been in good form I would of swore that boy coulda been a safety 😅. I hope he tries again because I love rooting for him out there.

You got this Dee you'll be back soon and better then ever. I went through an extreme obstacle this year with my football season too. Ended up getting hit wrong and went unconscious for around 2 hours and had to get airlfted. It was a head injury but it was the best possible outcome for the scenario and in your case I think its the same. Although you'll be out for awhile we all just hope you heal up and get well soon. And this series has helped me deal with my injury even and you've inspired me to still keep grinding and don't give up on my dream. Forever thankful for you Dee and get well soon man❤️ #Deeaintdone

I may not have been a D1 athlete but so much of my identity was in basketball that i turned to drugs and wasted away 10+ years in addiction. Im still only 31 and now im finally taking things seriously and turning my life around. I just wanna say thank you for what you do and have done. You a real g so keep working i have faith youll come back better than ever regardless of what you do. Get that field goal brotha!!!

Broke my back a week into my career that I was working to attain for 3 years. Doctors left me out to dry and my job left me with nothing, almost a year out from what I thought was the worst thing that could have happened to a young married man with two daughters, but the lessons ive learned and the progress I’ve made and where my family is in my new role has changed my mindset to be thankful that god had a different plan for me. Keep ya head on right and do what athletes do best and pivot.
