Actually we have both - Pro here 35yrs in the game - Phase One is a bit outdated now - we sold ours and got a an H6D - and now even that is having its day - we also use a GFX100II for outdoor use and 400MPX when we need it - it is good but Hass is special

I had the opportunity to try the X1D 2. The images it made were the best I have ever seen and the camera was mostly nice to handle, however I did run in to some things to consider before buying.
    - This was the first high end mirror less camera that I have tried and I was somewhat disappointed with the EVF. For a camera with a sensor larger than full-frame, I have no idea, why they couldn't try making something bigger and more detailed.
    - The batteries had an o-ring which kept sliding off.
    - Editing the images through the Hasselblad software was ok, but not the best. I wish they had a more common RAW image format.
    - The lenses were extremely good, but I wish they could focus closer up(they now have a lens that can do macro).
    - While capturing images tethered I adjusted the White Balance of the camera. I then ran in to an issue, that made my images blue(couldn't be saved by post processing) this issue was resolved by factory resetting the camera. I wish that Hasselblad had continued to develop and produce the H system, which really differentiated them from other camera systems. From my view it doesn't make sense to buy in to the X or V system over a full-frame camera. I can only thank my university for their weird financial decisions and for giving me the opportunity to experience such a high-end camera, for which I am grateful. I would recommend the camera, but not for the price.

Since I now have a classic 501C, for me the balance has shifted to the 907x combination.. though in reality, I'll likely be looking at the 50 Mp version in a few years when I can hopefully pick it up at a nice discount.

If you know from experience how to load a Hasselblad film back then you will probably appreciate the 907. But I suspect many DSLR/Mirrorless only photographers will simply not understand it. Hasselblad colours are there to get it right in your raw files rather than have the multitude of Fuji JPG film simulations.

Hello Kai, Just like to say as some one who has both the X1D and the X2D, the switch to the X2D is well worth it. Yes the auto focus is still not as fast as either my Nikon Z8 or Z9 but these Hasselblad's are tools to do different jobs. The focus assit and menus system on the Hasselblad are far better than any other systems I have used or seen, The image quality just jumps out at you both on screen and in print. I have try the 907X and yes it has its use case but not for me.

Kai what jacket are you wearing? Also in terms of the cameras I think you def shoulda put more emphasis on the fact the 907x doesnt have IBIS which is huge! since id assume most photographers have gotten use to having some sort of stabilization on their cameras or lenses. This is even more important because the higher the resolution is the more camera shake becomes a issue. But forreal whered you get the jacket? lol

@@nelsonclub7722 it depends on what you are photographing tho. Off tripod with low shutter speeds IBIS saves you. Granted if you are shooting in a studio you will never use it but outside in the early or late hours it will give you more time to get your shots, So for some people like yourself you might not need ibis for what you shoot alot of other pro's like myself do on occasion.

Swedish cameras sure sound heavy... *BaDumPumTissssh*
Serisously tho I am curious how well the touch screens on cameras hold up (I'm skeptical), ex. I've fallen on my Nikon D300 and D700 going through rough/rocky terrain (nature/hiking) but it was all absorbed by the camera body or the added vertical grip, this didn't seem to do anything (luckily the lens' currently on the cameras at the time weren't too long/big) What I'm thinking is something like a touch screen would be much durable in a shake and shock situation. (I know people who buy Hasselblad don't take them hiking I'm mostly curious about the touch screens on pro camera's in general since I stopped updating my camera at the Nikon D800)

Ok ive used the 907x 100c for a little over 3 months now and lets just say the experience is horrible. As an early model variant mine has alot of issues from it freezing up occassionally to the system deleting your pictures on its own and even when outdoors forcibly jamming itself where it cant even open the damn lens, the last one is the worst because even taking out the battery is not a permanent solution. Tried to contact Hasselblad customer service and they ghosted me for months before saying "its normal operations and expect your pictures to be deleted automatically"..................... TF I have lost hope in this company now as a long time user of their products. In all honesty if yall read this and still want a hassy, just get the X2D and make sure its at leats at the 10k number as anything before may have early production issues.

Quick tip for anyone considering the Hasselblad X2D based on sample images online: they're misleading. The reality is underexposed, dark shots requiring heavy editing. Switched back to my Leica M and couldn't be happier-superior straight-out-of-camera results. Highly recommend Leica M over the X2D for true photography enthusiasts.
