gil mendoza they taught Dave at my high school, funny thing is no one paid attention and after the class was over on graduation a couple of people threw their book away.
35 years old. Over 250k in savings. Debt free except house. Will pay off house soon! That's the goal. Hoping to become a millionaire by 41 years old! Thank you Dave!
Started listening to Dave at 22. I’m 25 this year, married mother of 2. Homeowner. Gonna be debt free except my house by the end of the year. So grateful for Dave 🙏🏼
I really wanna improve my life. I wanna never live in poverty again. I was raised in poverty. Tore up shoes, nothing to eat, lights cut off. I am currently 26 and living in poverty. I will work towards being debt free and wealthy. I will not have kids who live in poverty. I wanna get out of this so bad. Sad part is I dont know how. But I will make it
What options do you have for increasing your income? I would definitely consider mowing lawns, delivering pizza, or washing windows. You can boost your income through that
You need a plan, not just the will (though the will is an EXCELLENT starting point). Keep paying attention to folks like Dave, you'll get there. Is there anyone in your life you know to do well and have a good head on their shoulders when it comes to this stuff, maybe someone a few decades older? If so, maybe they would be happy to guide you a bit if you expressed an interest in learning how they do what they do.
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" Amen!! Hallelujah!! Same for my house, Dave! Thank you for your wisdom! May God continue to bless you, your family, your listeners, and your haters.
That stress hit me hard yesterday at night and sweat came down like i had a furnance in me. 350k debt was called up this december 2024 and i realized i didnt have that sum to pay and i even tot it was 300k. But ironically the spirit made me come across your talk today 19/12/24 on RUclips and i realized how careless i have been and the sacrifices i need to make to change my character and mindset . Thank God i prayed last night and this morning for a solution.
Thanks to you I started looking into different ways to make money and it completely changed our lives. We are debt free now and for the first time ever have savings and live off cash and not credit. I deliberately searched for ways that would help others too and for the first time in my life I honestly LOVE what I do. Thank you Dave❤
I had a coworker tell me her husband, who is an attorney, bought an $80,000 Mercedes to maintain his "image". The more she talked about this car, which is in the shop, the more I laughed. My brother in law is a corporate attorney and drove a 2002 Nissan Altima for 15 years.
My co worker told me today it is difficult to maintain the image when you are broke. And I asked, why would you want to maintain the image instead of saving money, investing money, and eventually becoming a millionaire. She stopped for a second with her mouth open, then said. Well you know, I am a business major, I gotta maintain the image. And I said, you will continue to maintain the image until you go broke. And she said, well, I will never go broke and maintaining the image is very important. I just giggled and laughed inside as I continue planning the next 2 years of my financial future in my head. Hahahaha
This is the biggest problem in the world today. People need to understand that when you are legit broke who are you trying to impress anyways? Buying things on credit more than one can afford is not how someone maintains image it's called looking STUPID!
@@TechEngineerSchool that's what's sad people are wanting to keep up with an image rather than live in reality and focus on what matters. Those trying to live up to an image remind me of those living a fake lifestyle on Instagram.
There’s a reason that God led me to your videos, Dave! Up until a week and a half ago I had no idea of how much your program can help people and help my husband and I. This week my car broke down and I’ll likely have to get another car. I’m so thankful that I know I don’t have to borrow money and go into more debt! Thanks for all you do, Dave! We are in the process of starting the baby steps and I’m so excited for this journey :)
I feel the same calling from God Jamie! Got on Dave's plan beginning of 2015, down to just my student loans then. Was told from the Dept. of Ed. it was going to take 25 years to pay them off. Nope, got my starter emergency fund in place, then jumped on Baby Step 2, and got rid of em' in 2 1/2 years! Now on Baby Step 3 and barring any true emergencies, should have this step completed this summer! God is truly blessing you and your husband Jamie and I wish you years of happy bliss and prosperity as well!
Never again! I am in my forties, in poverty, with kids, the student loan debt I thought I'd never pay, but now I see the way out. Things are changing now! Thanks to Dave for the hope to win this battle!
37 years old... don’t come from a wealthy family, never had a good paying job until now. Finally on the way to getting out of debt and saving for retirement. Only debt now is mortgage which will be paid off in 6 years!
Folks, this is what it's all about when it comes to money. Changing your family tree and being generous in the process. I'm not a multi-millionaire yet but I'm doing MY part to get there and letting the Lord take care of the rest. May God continue to bless you and your bloodline Mr. Ramsey.
Never again is a powerful statement. It's just two words, but it's the finality of the phrase that lets the world know how serious you are about your intentions.
I was never really in debt, but I'm working to keep it that way. And working to set myself up to retire with enough money to live through the twilight of my life.
Dave is such an inspiration. He's definitely one of the reasons I started my own channel. Everyone needs to get out of debt and change their family tree!
I started listening to Dave about 10 years ago. The baby steps seem overwhelming when you first hear them. Just take it one step at a time. I started on step 1 and now I'm on 4, 5 and 6. Suddenly step 7 seems within reach. Just keep going!
Wow, that really hit me to be honest. Rather than looking at just myself. What of I looked after my families name....Thank you for putting that in perspective that I understand. I'm at 16k in debt 9k is student 6k is car. At 49k a year. I WILL get this done
We were there at about the same age - mid 20s. We got through it and swore we would never be there again, and we weren't. We have been debt-free for two decades, and paid off our house during Covid. We aren't rich, but we're close to being millionaires. Keep preaching, Dave!!
My husband and I, who both hold PhD.s in D.U.M.B., are finishing baby step 2 (a big, screaming baby) next month and will have at least 10K in an emergency fund by the end of the year. We are paying off @ 80K in student loan debt and a MOUNTAIN of debt-thousands upon thousands in credit cards, car loans and fleeces, etc. In a matter of weeks, all of this nightmare will be gone. Thank God! We get along a lot better and there’s a lighter feeling in our house as the debt is eradicated. We have spent our entire brain-washed adulthoods living in debt and going paycheck to paycheck. We’re both DONE with miserable debt. Having a 3-6 month emergency fund is key to the success of this program. My neck muscles are just now starting to un-tense. Our goal is to pay off our mortgage in 2-3 years (while putting away 15% in retirement). WE NEVER WILL DO DEBT AGAIN. When the mortgage is paid off, we hope to visit Nashville for a primal debt-free cathartic scream that will be record-breaking in decibels and ferocity.

There was some dumb thing I had planned already once I’m debt free and man did you save me! I actually listen now and accept my faults. I want to fix them, you came into my life at the perfect time. Was God’s plan all along and it makes me feel so good!!! Thank you sir and to this great community. Buying the baby steps now :)

Dave, this is why I love you. You haven't forgotten where you came from and you can relate so well to us common, "poor" folks. You really care about people and it shows. Thanks for all you do.
I have been listening to Dave for 5 years and im finally got thru to my wife. Because she didn't think there was a problem, i will be out of debt in 18 months.
This....This is the video that brings it all back. I started to tear up and I can see and feel the pain in your eyes. I am never going back to those feelings. They were the worst days of my life. I owe a lot to you, I am changing the direction of my family for generations. Thank you.
I have, just this week, been thrown a life line and been able to use legacy to clear my debts and build saving for the first time in 7 years. Dave this video has scared me into never going back down that road ever again
Dave, thanks I needed to hear that. I say those exact word Never Again. I'm a student, trying to get my degree. I see how the world operate, the only person that need to be smart with there 💰 is us, we need to take control of our coins. Thanks, for sharing. 👍❤
"Start being smart with your money!". My parents first told me that around the time I opened up my checking account in mid-2007 & applying for my first-ever "secured credit card" in late-2010 & I never forgot it.
I have not gotten where I am due to listening to Dave Ramsey because I just started listening about a couple of weeks ago but I have to admit, I love this guy and honestly I could have used his advise 30 years ago and would have greatly appreciated it too. This is my new favorite show. I can listen to this guy talk all day and I do.
Thank you Dave!!!!! I have seen several of your videos now, but this one struck a nerve. When you talk about changing your family tree and how your 5th grandson is covered! That’s a beautiful statement that I WILL say one day. After the video finished, we paid off two credit cards to the tune of 1k and cut them up on the spot! Two more cards to go. Thank you sir!! GOD Bless!!
You saved me Dave. I almost made the worst decision of my life and got into a mortgage that would have been half my income with only 5% down. The place would have needed repairs. I was in escrow. I am now out of it and will never do anything stupid like that again. Goodness gracious. I will do this the right way.
When my wife and I first got married I knew the feeling. I had student loan payments, I had bought a car I couldn’t afford, just bought a house. If it wasn’t for working a lot of overtime there’s no way we could have made it. Now, emergency fund, a lot less payments, and it’s only been three years. Not having payments is the key to being comfortable.
I am 19 and I am going to make sure what happened to Dave Ramsey NEVER happens to me and my family. My college tuition is already being paid for and I am saving up for a starter home. My goal is to become a multi-millionaire by the time I'm in my 60's. I am also planning on investing as soon as I get a full-time job (Probably when I am 21 or 22).
Steven G Not sure if you’re aware of Dave’s mortgage guidelines, but they are as follows: The payment should be 25% of your take home pay, and it should be no longer than 15 years, fixed rate.
Never Again , I never want to be there again , with my broke self , my in debt self , my irresponsible self . I can be good with money, I can turn this around Thank you Dave Ramsey
I've been watching and learning. Thank you for all your lessons and cander about money. I'm tired of being dumb. Because of listening to the things you say to the callers, I have started saving. I will learn. Keep posting your videos. They're much appreciated.
Were on baby step number 2 and its taking some time because i keep messing up. Im done with messing up. Im pulling my cash and doing the envelope system since i cant keep my act together. I dont want to live like this forever. Either change it now when Im in my 20s or later when I have a family to care for and worrying constantly.
I'm from the Pacific Islands and this is how most families live, paycheck to paycheck, myself included. I'm sick and tired of it. Praising God I found this channel. Time for change. Let's go!🔥
It's hard when you've found this path and are following with great results, yet those around you have no interest in bettering their finances or future. All I can do is set the example and lead if asked to do so, but folks are too busy buying coffee out every day and then complaining they can't pay their electric bill to consider it. Like Dave would say, "too broke to pay attention". It's all up to them, but it's hard when you've learned better and want better for them as well.
The Holy Spirit stirs my soul through your finacial talks, Dave. Man, I feel awful because of all the money I haven't saved. Time to pull my bootstraps up and on and get it together! Amen to, "NO MORE!" Thank you, Dave!
Wish I had known this years ago. All that time worrying ,checking to caller ID every time the phone rings, the sleepless nights and the filing for bankruptcy. NEVER AGAIN! I'm on the right road now.
My parents didnt even talk about money in front of us, so everything we learnerd was by ourselves. Years of heartaches and being broke. It doesnt take long to get into debt yet it takes longer to get out.
I'm currently in baby step 2. $30.000 left. It's so hard. The only way to stay the course is to listen to Dave Ramsey every single day. I watch youtube, his Audible audiobook, his Podcast and it's still so hard. But I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Wish me luck. ✨
@@MShah-ch6st so cool to see my old post. WOW. Okay so I was able to get out of debt. build an emergency fund of 6 month worth of expenses and now am working on the mortgage. 108k to go and I think I can do this in 3 years. Dave Ramsey changed my life. Bless Dave Ramsey
I learned my lesson about borrowing money and praise the Lord that it was not a large sum so I could pay it back quickly but after having that feeling of being in bondage and in slavery I will never again borrow money.
Thank the lord I've never been in a situation that you described at the beginning of this video. But still you put a tear in my eye, Dave!! It's heartbreaking knowing that so many people have to make those hard decisions like groceries that feed the household OR electricity that warms the household.. 😢
My wife and I are from Namibia and we’ve decided to NEVER AGAIN live paycheck to paycheck because of debt. We will get out of this by using our income.
Yep, many of us have hit rock bottom, been homeless which was beyond my control, young mom with a toddler and we slept in my car, then upgraded and lived in a dive hotel, worked 2 jobs to get back on my feet, one job paid for the daycare, the other for my hotel, our food, diapers, public transpo to get to work. Leaving a legacy for my child, our tree ends with him as not having any children so he should have enough to live a comfortable life, maybe I won't reach millionaire status before I die but sure as heck gonna try to get as close to goal as possible.
We lived like no one else for the past 4 years, paid off over $110,000 in consumer and student loans. We are down to $14,300. We are on fire!
Right on!
Keep it up!😁💯
congrats!!! proud of ya!
Keep it up!!👌
I can totally relate. Congratulations
Raised in poverty and that was all I knew, never again! I’m 19 and I wanna change my family tree!! 🌲 💰

GOD Bless!!
Glad I found this video at age 24! Getting rid of car payment in 4 months !
Gotta respect a guy speaking from the heart.
I'm 21 years old and about to graduate college debt free with a solid job lined up thanks to you, Dave.
The pride that comes with leaving generations of your family wealthy is amazing.
You are the best Father Figure to all of us. Thank you🙏
Never again will I own a credit card, or get any kind of loan that isn't a modest/small mortgage.
Steven G
Not sure if you’re aware of Dave’s mortgage guidelines, but they are as follows:
The payment should be 25% of your take home pay, and it should be no longer than 15 years, fixed rate.
Thank God for this honest man.
JayEsmeralda_Plans live like no one else so you can live and give like no one else
Letters to Apollo like Dave says, u have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired 😌
Create a vision wall, door or mirror to constantly remind you of your goals. As you cross them off, you will feel so much better as time goes on.
I'm from the Pacific Islands and this is how most families live, paycheck to paycheck, myself included. I'm sick and tired of it. Praising God I found this channel. Time for change. Let's go!🔥
I personally love how down to 🌎 dave is! Real talk. He keeps it 100!
I left my program of getting a PHD in DUMB all thanks to Dave.
I listen to Dave more than anything. I'm just tired. I'm starting my journey. I'm excited. I've been stupid for 42 years. Enough is enough.
Good luck to you.
I know that feeling...it’s been 8 years but that fear still causes me to manage my finances with extreme care.
Potentially the single greatest Dave Ramsey video ever.
I will be eternally grateful for this man ❤
I will be debt free soon because of his ministry, thank you Uncle Dave 😁
Dave is a living testimony! Thank God for your life and for helping others! 🙏🏽
Never again! I’m glad I found Dave now that they’re still young so they don’t remember how hard me and Daddy struggled! Thanks Dave!
Thanks Dave my family will change. Starting today!
The Holy Spirit stirs my soul through your finacial talks, Dave.
Man, I feel awful because of all the money I haven't saved.
Time to pull my bootstraps up and on and get it together!
Amen to, "NO MORE!" Thank you, Dave!
being 22 and been listening since 16, I am very close to hit the millions
How .
Wish I had known this years ago. All that time worrying ,checking to caller ID every time the phone rings, the sleepless nights and the filing for bankruptcy. NEVER AGAIN! I'm on the right road now.
My guy said Dumb^2 = stupid "When you're dumb and you keep doing dumb things, thats just stupid" - Dave Ramsey.
My parents didnt even talk about money in front of us, so everything we learnerd was by ourselves. Years of heartaches and being broke. It doesnt take long to get into debt yet it takes longer to get out.
So true.
Dave ramsey is the best thing that could have ever happened to me i mean that with all my heart thank you so much dave and god bless you !
We love you Dave !! Our lives is about to be transformed 🙏🏻♥️ Thank you !!
Dave taught me about renters insurance which literally saved my financial life.
How is it going right now after 4 years that you last posted?
@@MShah-ch6st so cool to see my old post. WOW. Okay so I was able to get out of debt. build an emergency fund of 6 month worth of expenses and now am working on the mortgage. 108k to go and I think I can do this in 3 years. Dave Ramsey changed my life. Bless Dave Ramsey
I love dave-- tough love with humility and compassion
I learned my lesson about borrowing money and praise the Lord that it was not a large sum so I could pay it back quickly but after having that feeling of being in bondage and in slavery I will never again borrow money.
I was so broke that I was saving up to be poor.
😂😂😂😂😂
I tell ya you won't go wrong when you operate with cash. The cash envelope system really helps you control your spending.
Listen guys, what ever he's saying is true in totality. Thanx
Never again, I’m building a new way for my family! Amen
Thank you so much for your words, you are an asset to our world
Thank the lord I've never been in a situation that you described at the beginning of this video.
Dave's got that ole southern "crankyness"...love it
Yep, many of us have hit rock bottom, been homeless which was beyond my control, young mom with a toddler and we slept in my car, then upgraded and lived in a dive hotel, worked 2 jobs to get back on my feet, one job paid for the daycare, the other for my hotel, our food, diapers, public transpo to get to work. Leaving a legacy for my child, our tree ends with him as not having any children so he should have enough to live a comfortable life, maybe I won't reach millionaire status before I die but sure as heck gonna try to get as close to goal as possible.
What kind of person gives this video a thumbs down??!?
Brett Williams < people that don't know what Dave was talking about.
High school students required to take his curriculum.

Can’t stop watching his videos 😬
