This lecture presents a summary of the selection mechanisms imposed on immature T cells in the thymus (aka thymocytes), and how these selection mechanisms yield a mature TCR repertoire that can be used to defend the host from infection while preserving central tolerance.
All figures are either from Janeway's Immunobiology (9th ed.) where noted, or my own original figures.
