From a Swedish tv show called "Jills Veranda" in which they invite Swedish artists to Nashville to discover country music. The blond lady is Veronica Maggio and she's actually one of Sweden's biggest pop stars and has been so for years.

Gary MacMillan - at 3:22 he starts a very short riff that sounds like harmonics but it’s really unusual. Fits perfectly with the song, of course. Talk about complete, nearly unconscious, mastery of your instrument,ent.
And check out the harmony line he sings. Absolutely perfect

I only recently came across this masterpiece. It's been on my mind ever since. The performance is stunning, and the quality of the recording is incredible ... but THE SONG... the song is firmly planted in my mind. I can listen to it a dozen times on repeat, always hearing something magical I missed before.
Truly Breathtaking.
The simplicity, yet power of unison vocals. Synchronized and brooding. Harder to execute than most would assume. They go into harmony, also, but man that unison hits you.
right! I wasn’t watching the screen at the beginning, and for a moment I actually thought it was only one voice with reverb. Just breathtaking.
Not to mention Dave is weaving these fills that seems so effortless while meeting Gillian in a heartfelt moment. These guys are breathtaking.

I love the emotion Veronica Maggio (blonde) shows on her face. It is like she feels every ounce of sadness written into this song.
David's use of chromatics and dissonance in his playing is unique among musicians. Beautiful.
The first time I ever saw or heard (of) them was live when they opened for someone else. Dave's playing made my head and body want to explode. It was fricking amazing. I've been a fan ever since.

These two are best musician-singer-composers since the Beatles. Look at how they face into one another, look at one another, and become one singer and player. They sing this piece in unison during the verses; they are perfectly in tune. They nail their pitches again, again, again. Their harmonies melt my heart. Wow!

Chris was something, I played with him just a couple of times by chance - just jamming buddies when he was starting out in Greenwich Village, he had a buddy Warren or something played a mean blues harp - I was a good player even then, but man he totally smoked me.
so cool... chris and gillian/david are in a very similar lane when it comes to naturally amazing song writers in my opinion, its like theres another level to every song compared to other people, P&L
I walked in to a record store in 1990 and over the sound system I heard "We still runnin'?" and I just knew I was about to hear something special! Saw him live a few years later in Glasgow, Scotland. The real thing.

So beautiful. Their performances are even more amazing when you realize they're playing unamplified guitars into stage mics. And Rawlings' guitar is a 1935 Epiphone Olympic he rescued off the floor in a friend's garage.

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have to be considered one of the best two piece bands of all times. I’d put them up there with Muddy Waters and Little Walter even.
I now have a picture of what heaven should look like. A friendly bar with Gillian Welch playing and an empty seat on the table for me.

This song absolutely gutted me the very first time I heard it. My first listen through Harrow & Harvest. I got to this track, and I just kept replaying it. Later played it for a musically gifted singer and friend who'd recorded some albums. He sat there nodding and said, "I like the way they doubled her vocals." I grinned and said, "Huh-uh. That's her *and him*. Probably live in the studio." Thrilling to see them do it live.
And the song STILL guts me. One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Thanks for posting it.
