JR Rodri Captain For The Win! He Is Worthy Not Like Your Tony Bitch He Could Not Lift The Hammer In Age Of Ultron Because Of The Secret Of Tonys Father Death
I love Tony's attempts at the end. Saying the shield didn't belong to Cap nor he deserved it and Cap just tried to ignore him. But it was the "my father made that shield" that got Cap. He really respected Howard.
It really shows the depths of his delusion and blind irrational fury towards Bucky. He was so fixated on killing his parents' "murderer" that he couldn't be reasoned with and effectively became a slasher villain that Cap and Bucky had to escape from.
@kerlyne8009 one thing is "telling it" right after Tony himself saw the recording with Bucky standing next to him, another is actually telling it him willingly in a private conversation and with Bucky far enough away.
Tony: I'm not your friend anymore C.A. because you're preventing me from committing cold blooded murder on a guy whose body killed my parents even though he was brainwashed and was being controlled by completely other people and he had no control whatsoever with what he was being forced to do......kinda like Rhodey when his suit was being controlled and he shot up that event in the park with all those people but I didn't hold Rhodey responsible for that because he wasn't doing it himself..........so take that C.A., we're not friends now because you won't allow me to murder your completely innocent friend.
100% agreed. And it genuinely pisses me off when people complain that “Iron Man could’ve won”. Who cares?! Tony and Steve had a damn fight bloodying and bruising each other and you’re being insecure just bc you’re favourite Avenger didn’t win? 🤦🏽♂️
@Thirteen 13 that’s different. Cap’s secret wasn’t exactly gonna end the human race. And when he says that he’s talking professionally. He’s the leader of the team and Tony and Bruce didn’t say anything.
@@ar4bdulla That’s a different argument. It’s no question that if Tony had loved Howard and had no mercy he would’ve won. Even if he did win, it’d still be a loss. People lose Captain America, their symbol, Tony would get booted off the accords, the Avengers being even more broken. Doing this just made me wonder: Thanos would win easily, nobody would go back in time, not so soon. There would still be average citizens willing to become heroes to fix. Meaning, Thanos + Zola’s Algorithm would be perfect, since nobody would defy his destiny. A little off topic, but just an interesting thought.
“You can’t beat him hand to hand” and “Analyze his fight pattern” goes to show you Tony trusted Cap so much that he never dreamed he would’ve had to fight him like with The Hulk and Thor

This fight is so raw and emotional. Remember when the MCU wasn't trying to make people cheer or laugh every 5 seconds? I want these movies to make me FEEL again.
Imagine being so blinded by negativity that you can’t see that they’ve always been ‘jokey’. That’s kinda a big point in the comic universe so that’s what they were going for…

@@AiRPasternak no. This is a different reason. We laughed with all the one liners during the airport fight scene. In here,we just couldn't believe what we just saw.
This scene and this movie is still the high water mark of the MCU. Well developed characters, a tight, well acted plot and the emotion…my goodness the emotion. The MCU will never come anywhere close to this level again.
The face captain America makes as he delivers his last blow to Stark really gets me it isnt a face of relief or triumph but a face of utter defeat and regret, the regret of not having done things better and the regret of having to deliver such painful blows to a dear friend
@ Well put. It’s all those little emotions that empty out after an up and down film and exhausting final battle. The music then blends so well with it all.
The MCU could definitely pull off this level again in a scene. What are you talking about? They're plenty great actors who could rock a role like this. Why are people brains so shallow
Or just The Avengers: Civil War. I know that the story mostly focuses on Steve and Bucky but I in all honesty think that it should have been titled Avengers: Civil war
The most heartbreaking theory I read was that for all of the countermeasures Tony took out of his paranoia and anxieties, building all of those extra suits, making a hulkbuster should the hulk go rogue, trying to put a suit of armor around the world, he never made one should cap go rogue because he never thought that would ever be a possibility. Hence his being totally outmatched and having to do a last minute fight pattern analysis.
I mean, would he really need a suit for cap? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Steve could defeat multiple of the suits, but the Hulk buster was tailored to Hulk, by having extra durability, strength and size. I can't really think of a feature that the regular suits don't have, that he'd need for cap
He doesn’t need a suit for Captain America. In here he does just fine analyzing his fight pattern and kicking caps ass. If it was 1v1 and Bucky wasn’t there, iron man can easily win.
that really hurts me too. tony was someone who always thought five steps ahead, had contingency plans for everything and wanted to protect everyone from every threat (and felt so incredibly guilty when he failed to do so). out of all the possibilities he needed to prepare for, he really never thought that steve would stoop so low and escalate things so far out of control that he would need to fight for his own LIFE. that's just messed up. this scene genuinely hurts to watch because it really is a situation that tony never thought he'd end up in in a million years, yet steve took it there for no good reason.
You do know he could just slice cap in 2 with a laser, shoot him with rockets, fly him WAAAAAAAAAY up in the sky then drop him, etc. The point was not even to fight Cap, hence his hesitation. He held back so he didnt end up killing him. Because if Tony were serious, he could f Cap up every way. But that was not the point of the fight.... So why would he need a special suit against cap? The worst he has are punches and his shield... Tony could very easily make it a long range fight and it would eventually be over
I'd actually say from start to finish the MCU was great (it ended with Endgame and I refuse to believe any more movies have been made even though I watched them)
@Chrissy717 nah, iron man 2 & 3, thor 2, and Captain Marvel were trash movies. A lot of people didn't like avengers 2 when it came out too. There's always been ups in downs in mcu. Spiderman 3, Guardians3, and Deadpool 3 are all great movies in the new phases. Black Panther 2 wasn't a bad movie neither.
If you notice, Bucky says “I’m gonna miss you, buddy” and was happy for him, he said that because he knows what Steve is gonna do, they most likely had a chat before this, and Bucky choose to stay in the future because he knows deep down that he doesn’t belong in the past, he’s grown too much ever since he’s woken up at the end of The Winter Soldier, and Civil War, while Steve has always, ever since he got out of the ice, had been stuck in the past, he missed everything, missed Peggy, and it’s his biggest regret. Never getting a chance to live that life he so desperately wanted. No amount of living in the future was ever going to make Cap let go of that desire to return home. Because as Cap said he can’t move on, and he especially couldn’t move on from Peggy and getting to live a life with her. So Steve left and Bucky stayed because the 1940s isn’t where Bucky belongs anymore.
@@TheAngelofFate17 Besides, Bucky still has to become the White Wolf and Sam has to become the new Captain America, which I'm hoping happens in their series.
I love the moment Cap breaks Tony's Arc Reactor. He gives Tony this look like "You think I'd actually kill you?", to Tony realizing what he had just thought, by looking down at his reactor. Then looks away but looks back with this clear face of guilt. Amazing Actors... What a way to write a scene about 2 Superhero Best Friends breaking their friendship. Beautiful.
I thought of it more as registering the shock in the end. But ya I agree with everything else. Guilt makes sense considering everything that just happened and he started the fight.
IDK. I take this weapon and the first thing I do is HIT YOU IN THE FACE MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE I REMOVE YOUR PROTECTIVE ARMOR. If you were to experience that, would your first thought be "He's not gonna kill me"?
This is a heart-wrenching scene, definitely. But BEST friends? I beg to differ. Right from the moment these two guys met (in the MCU) there was a building tension between them. I would call them frenemies if nothing else. Recall the 2012 Avengers film, which for me tops them all (because it damn near flawlessly accomplished its mission to form the team, launch subsequent MCU phases and raise the bar for the entire Superhero film genre - not to mention multi-film franchises. ) These were the very first words between them: "Mr. Stark." "Captain." - with barely an acknowledging (sideways) glance either way. Brrr, talk about an ICEY introduction! Then in the very NEXT scene aboard the quinjet Tony called Steve a "Capsicle," to which he replied, "[Nick] Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in," as if to say, "Look, BUDDY, I didn't select you for this mission, and given the choice I SURELY WOULDN'T have." Steve could convey a LOT without being direct! Then, let's not forget how he and Tony nearly came to BLOWS in that superb lab confrontation scene aboard the SHIELD helicarrier. Granted, perhaps Loki was subtlely working his mojo on everyone, thus heightening the existing tensions between them all, but there's no denying that for THESE two in particular there was ALREADY some clear animosity. Earlier in that film and earlier in THIS one we got small hints of why. Said Tony to Banner upon Steve exiting the helicarrier lab in Avengers 2012, "THAT'S the guy my FATHER never SHUT UP about?? Something tells me they should have left him on ice!" Ouch! And then earlier in THIS film, Tony said to Steve soon after Bucky's capture, "Oh really? You [and my father] knew each other? He never mentioned that...well maybe only about a THOUSAND times. GOD, I hated you." That tells you everything right there: Tony apparently spent most of his youth competing for his father's approval with the MEMORY of a then-long-presumed-dead LEGENDARY WWII HERO. Then, two full decades after Tony lost both his parents (in a violent manner we would shockingly discover at the climax of this very film), that selfsame legendary hero resurfaced very much alive, as young, vibrant, handsome and HEROIC as ever. And since that day Steve constantly reminded Tony of his own shortcomings, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. In short, Tony rather viscerally RESENTED Steve/Cap and ALWAYS HAD. Anybody who's ever had daddy issues can certainly empathize why he would. And on the flipside Steve, a man for whom DESPITE all outward appearances NOTHING ever came easy, saw in Tony a man with literally EVERYTHING: extraordinary wealth, exceptional intelligence, charisma, charm, good looks, and yes, leadership qualities in his own right; but with the unfortunate tendency to take all those good fortunes for granted. Tony was rather selfish, flamboyant, cocky and HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL. All those things made him extremely POWERFUL as it was; then ADD a self-invented FORMIDABLE EXOSKELETON - i.e., the IRON MAN armored suit - which possessed revolutionary technology coupled with sophisticated weaponry capable of INFLICTING SEVERE DAMAGE. In short, these things made Tony a bit dangerous, or more to the point, sort of a "bully" (at least in Steve's mind)! And we KNOW from Steve's own words to Dr. Erskine, the man primarily responsible for giving him the PHYSICAL ABILITY to MATCH his nobility and altruism, that STEVE DISLIKED BULLIES. And we also know from the alley scene earlier in that same Cap solo film and countless events since his becoming Captain America that Steve wouldn't hesitate to stand up to ANY bully no matter the odds. Of course, it's more complex than that, but at the core of it all, Tony embodied almost everything Steve dedicated his entire life to fighting. And while he recognized the potential good Tony could do, he was consistently disappointed by Tony's choices and actions: "God, Tony, every time, EVERY TIME I think you see things the right way...", he admonished upon learning that Tony confined Wanda to the Avengers' private compound under Vision's "supervision" earlier in this film. I think Steve resented Tony's failure to live up to his admittedly unrealistically high moral standards. But it wasn't as though Tony's own actions didn't give him good reason. (Can you say ULTRON, anyone?) I won't even mention all the other times in their shared MCU films that Tony and Steve's ideological differences manifested as verbal confrontations between them. Suffice it to say that their relationship was always complicated to say the least, and while we could definitely call them comrades-in-arms (because they USUALLY could put their personal differences aside to defeat the villain-of-the-day) I would be hard-pressed to call them anything more than frenemies. That is, until they TRULY reconciled their differences in Avengers: Endgame. By the middle of THAT film they were, at last, friends. Sadly though, that bond was doomed to end - which perhaps makes the above scene even more poignant and painful to re-watch. But that's a discussion for another post. :D
@@jjvucufucy6321 "Nuh uh" what? You disagree? If so, fine that's your prerogative, but on what do you base that? DId you even read my entire post? I back my premise up with actual events, historical context & dialogue quotatations straight from the shared Cap / Iron Man MCU films themselves. If you doubt what I'm saying, then why not rewatch their dialogue exchanges in Avengers 2012, Avengers: Age of Ultron, & this very film (CA: Civil War)? I think you'll see what I'm talking about. And I like how Cap responded by saying “I can do this all day”, reflecting on what happened in that alley, comparing Tony to that stupid bully, and showing how powerful a true best loyal friendship is. Bucky saved him in that alley and now Cap would gladly do the same thing for Bucky in the same situation. Best friends don’t leave each other. They fight together till the end of the line. Whats most scary about Steve slamming his shield on Tony’s arc reactor is imagining if Tony never got the surgery and removed the shrapnel That would’ve been instant kill
Lol no it wouldn’t have, only in iron man 1 did the reactor power both his heart and suit, think about it, avengers when tony goes to fix the hellicarrier engine you can see his arc reactor thru his shirt as he powers up the suit
@Daredevil what does that have to do with anything? I was talking about simple laws of physics, not his reactor being removed. The shield coming down like that onto his breast plate and reactor would of actually caused the suit to cave into his chest crushing his upper body between the front and back of the suit. Or simple put in order to penetrate the suit as the shield did in the movie the suits body structure at the breast plate/ reactor would of gone inward into Starks chest area while the back would of stayed in form which would of crushed his chest inwards and between the back and front of the suit. Plus even if Stark had his reactor removed the replacement ribcage and surrounding bones would of been more fragile due to the repeated trauma in that area over the years.
@Daredevil that is not how it works. To get to the point that the shield was at in the reactor and suit would of cause server injuries by the sheer force it would of needed... if it wasn't for movie magic. That type of blow that was in the movie was known to kill knights in their armor. When an object is hit with that type of force by another object, the original object hit doesn't move out if its way for the other one. The energy continues its momentum forward even after the hit even if the one coming at it stops soon after. That is why I mentioned I was surprised the writers played it off as nothing. So even if Steve stopped the suit still would of gone in. The new space the shield was taking over means that the suit and reactor had to go somewhere else. The energy for the blow of the shield to destroy the reactor would of pushed it all inwards to his chest area.
What’s always so striking about the best Marvel scenes is the humanity in the characters, the depth of real connection between the audience, the characters and the other people in the film. From the top down, it is so well done that they make you feel like you’re watching people you know personally, which makes you love them all the more.
That’s the difference between Marvel and DC. Marvel adds the human element to Superheroes, whilst DC adds the Superhero element to humans. Personally, I like both. But I prefer the former.

@@MrsCarmenG Tony just found out that Steve hid information that were important to him and then he watched how his parents died while their killer stood next to him. Was it justified that he wanted to kill Bucky in that situation? Definitely not. Was it reasonable? Absolutely, because no one who is protective of his loved ones would be able to endure that. Tony never chose between friendship and revenge as he never even tried to seriously hurt Steve. Steve on the other hand chose one of his friends over the other when he never had to. If he had trusted Tony and told him everything from the very beginning, it would have never come to that point as Tony would have had the time to digest the information instead. The decisive difference between Tony and Steve is that Steve tries to make the right decision whereas Tony tries to make the best decision even if there are sacrifices.
@@robinschmalbrock5357 Yes I totally understand what you meant. I agreed that Cap should’ve tried to be honest in the first place and shared the truth instead of letting Tony find out in a bad way. It was very reasonable for Tony to get mad instantly for sure. I was just thinking was it necessary for Tony to be that furious to start a bad fight instantly right there. It seemed to make things worse like Cap said it wasn’t gonna change anything. Cap and Bucky felt as bad as Tony did because they both knew Howard Stark back then. They were from the same decade. You think Cap would be happy to learn about how his only true best friend got brainwashed and killed the guy who helped him become Captain America. And you know Bucky was suffering and struggling a lot from knowing his past as the winter soldier and happening to kill a person he used to know and would believe in little Steve as much as he did. Yes, Tony wasn’t trying to hurt Steve, but his intention to kill Bucky right there was obvious. I’m thinking this from a real life perspective. If you have a good friend in real life, you would naturally respect your good friend’s best friend as well, because you would trust your good friend’s decision in picking out their best friend and respect them for needing to defend their best friend when the best friend did something wrong unintentionally all along. And you would have the patience to talk things out with your good friend instead of picking a fight instantly and tell your good friend to stay down so that you could beat their best friend up in front of them. Tony’s parents didn’t die one day before this, but a long time ago anyway. That’s why to me, it was a bit unnecessary for Tony to start the fight and make everyone emotional. I felt like Tony didn’t very much respect their friendship and Cap as being Cap and his faith in his only best friend right there.
He’s covered in a metal suit that can fly, blast apart buildings, and is incredibly intelligent. Captain America and Bucky can’t even what he can together. It’s impressive that they won in my opinion.

😭😭😭😭
Tony could very easily make it a long range fight and it would eventually be over
Steve had to literally break Tony's heart to save Bucky. That's some good symbolism right there
Tony would have done the thing for roddy
if this is about the arc reactor it’s not actually keeping tony alive any more as he got the shrapnel removed in iron man 3

(Can you say ULTRON, anyone?)
I won't even mention all the other times in their shared MCU films that Tony and Steve's ideological differences manifested as verbal confrontations between them. :D

Whats most scary about Steve slamming his shield on Tony’s arc reactor is imagining if Tony never got the surgery and removed the shrapnel
That would’ve been instant kill
I don’t think it be instantaneous. The shrapnel would start moving again. He’s probably have a few hours or even a day to replace the magnet.
@@jimmy2k4o or caved his chest in from the force. Still don't know how that didn't happen here.
I blame Tony for not flying away and hitting that clip with MAXIMUM PULSE🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥

The fact that Stark could compete with 2 super soldiers is impressive
He’s covered in a metal suit that can fly, blast apart buildings, and is incredibly intelligent. Captain America and Bucky can’t even what he can together. It’s impressive that they won in my opinion.
They both have only strength better than any human where as Tony has ten variety of power and Suit. Still Cap could punch through his suit if he wanted to kill.
Akshay Pawar iron man got distracted bruh if Bucky ain’t touch him cap would’ve been gone

The cap was the most mature person in the Avengers. That's why he was trying to save bucky as well as tony.
I like how Friday knew that caps shield was where his fighting pattern was revolved in and the first thing her countermeasures were was to blast it off
she like eliminated his whole offense with that move lol
@@ramzicastilleja3268 and defense... Stark is too smart
@@Thadookiedemon9013 well... it was Friday lmao who fought back, not Tony. And it’s bullshit that Friday was able to beat arguably the most skilled hand to hand fighter in his own field when not even taskmaster can beat cap like that.
Either way, cap would’ve ended Tony before Friday could do anything if he really wanted to. He was playing nice damn near the whole fight
@Hermann Retzlaff no ones arguing Tony’s genius level intellect
@@alexamaya3208 Its not bullshit, human brain cant defeat computer speaking purely analytics. How could have cap ended tony? If he could he would have destroyed the arc reactor at the start just to stop this fight, He was not able to - thats why they fought. Tony on the other hand could have shot a tank destroying rocket at steve or a laser like in iron man 2 at any moment and kill him. He did not want to, he only wanted Bucky's head.
"he's my friend"
"so was I"

He broke his heart. This scene was so well done and so heart wrenching.
And the music accompanying the scene is a beautiful match

This whole scene is just incredibly well done.
