A lot of people forget Tony was trained in Hand to hand combat. He’s just not as trained as the people who are legendary in Hand to hand combat like Black Widow.
Y’all gotta realize, Tony is a VERY competent fighter, PLUS his suit makes him VASTLY more durable and VASTLY more powerful than either of them. I find it more impressive that they could damage him or hold him back at all than it was for him to slap them around. Cap and Buckys enhancements don’t come close to what Tony can do I’m that suit lol.
I agree, but Cap and bucky knew this, too. Immediately once the fight began, bucky squeezed and cracked one of Tony's hand repulsors, and later cap broke the one on his foot. The whole thing is a bit inconsistent and bothers me, though. Cap holding a helicopter? Fine, i believe it, but holding down an iron man suit in flight? Not a chance. His mark 2 suit at 10% power with the improved arc reactor (after the one he built in a cave with a box of scraps, but before the elemental upgrade) strait sent him into the roof during his testing. This was even BEFORE he added the flight stabilizers! How many upgrades has he made to his suit, his thrusters, the thrusters on his back, AND the arc reactor itself since then? And cap just casually holds him in flight with one hand and starts breaking one of his leg pieces with the other? Its not the best, but they TRIED to explain his handicap. I still feel like they should've put more effort, but its just me nitpicking. I get what they were trying to do, and i still really like the scene.
@@Echoes_at_Dawni agree with this bcos although cap is enhanced they make him way stronger than he would realistically be. holding down a heli is already a stretch and catching iron mans suit. even the jump from the elevator was a stretch

You guys have such small brains it’s ridiculous. Steve isn’t mad at Tony at all, the letter he sends him at the end of the movie proves that. But Tony was trying to kill his best friend, someone who had literally no control in the actions that committed. While Bucky may have been guilty legally, from a moral standpoint he was 100% the victim.
Tony was only aiming for Bucky, he didn't actually start trying to really harm cap until he analyzed his fighting pattern if he was going for the kill from the start (cap included) he definitely would have been able to take them both out, him holding back against killing cap and his tunnel vision on buck is what led to his loss
The fact that if Tony blasted Steve half to death he could've finished off Bucky but didn't is quite admirable. Even at the last part when Steve was bashing the mask off with his shield Tony could've fired his chest blast but didn't.
to be honest the biggest victim is Bucky imagine going to war getting captured, your friend breaks you out, goes back to war, gets captured again, gets tortured and brainwashed for god knows how long, and on top of that have to live with all the people you were brainwashed into killing
The only time Tony was right was in regards to his parents. Whole movie he was pro government but a super team like the Avengers should NEVER BE at the mercy of such an easily corruptible govt. especially after the events of Winter Soldier where Hydra was running everything
Check the fact that in Endgame Tony is ranting exactly like a Hydra opp. Him saying "We needed to put a shield of armor around the world" but the people's "precious freedoms" got in the way, ain't too far from Arnim Zola saying Hydra would engineer crises to make the people give up their freedom. Also check the fact that he put his 2 cents into Project Insight. The Project that Hydra wanted to be able to shoot people if they became a threat to the new order.
@@ultimamage3I definitely believe Tony is in the wrong for the whole Ultron thing, But he's not the only one responsible. Wanda put the vision in his head that made him seriously try to make Ultron before it was probably just a passing thought. But then she went and basically told him everyone you know and the whole world will die and it's all your fault. Then the one person who's working on Ultron with him doesn't stop to ask why the sudden insistence on it. Or maybe thinks to bring it up to the rest of their friends afterwards. Tony was definitely at fault but he didn't do it on his own. Wanda is still the true villain of the MCU. This is a joke btw.
Adding the Incredibles theme every time Steve does something cool or heroic was a nice touch. But seriously, I’ve seen different people debate who was right in this fight (Tony trying to avenge the parents he never got to appreciate until they were gone, even if their assassin wasn’t even able to stop himself from doing it, only to be betrayed by his friend and Steve giving it his all to protect his last living tie to his old life with Bucky doing the same, but also having to sacrifice his new life as an Avenger and his new friendships in the process). But the point of this fight is that both of them lost and should never have fought in the first place. They were there to detain Zemo, who planned on forcing them to kill each other but Tony (understandably) lost sight of what they were doing there, nearly letting Zemo get away to shoot himself and escape punishment for his crimes, of course if it hadn’t been for T’Challa. But either way, with all their conflicting ideals and the government’s harsher stance on supers, them fighting was always going to happen, even if the cost was going to end up being half the universe turning to ash for five years.
7:22 This moment is underrated, especially what T'challa said "Vengence....has consumed you. It is consuming them. I'm done...letting it consume me" After seeing what revenge did to Zemo and what it *was* doing to the Avengers, he realized revenge isn't the answer

something i like about the first half or so of this fight is that tony tries to fight cap as little as possible, he want to hurt his friend too much, like he avoids doing too much and tries to restrain him and all that. he just wants to bring the guy he thinks is guilty for his parents deaths to justice(though whether he is or isnt is a slippery slope because of mind control, and i think tony wouldve been more amicable were it not for the devil tier instigator that killed panthers dad)
nah tbh his parents have always been a sore spot for him and the complicated relationship they had helped drive him to becoming iron man (amongst other things). Brainwashing or not, I believe he still would have wanted the smoke

@@Blizzardholocron so… u totally overlooked the fact that TONY jumped BUCKY. He literally slapped Steve across the room - starting the fight - then he went after Bucky. That’s literally the definition of jumping someone
I honestly feel like Iron Man was disgustingly nerfed in Civil War. Not only does he fail to save Rhodey from fall damage when he really should have as there's no way Rhodey was falling faster than 1,500 MPH, he then gets jumped and beaten when he constantly upgrades his suits to prevent this kind of thing from happening.
I agree but to be fair to the movie the suit he was in was a backup suit he pulled out of the jet and not his real bag, plus he was blind with rage so he wasn't exactly thinking through his plans. The Rhodey bit was wild, though he should have saved bro
Yeah, but by that logic, that means Vision should've been able to catch him since he was already on the ground and is faster than Iron man.
@mongooseunleashed Vision was distracted by Wanda, which honestly kinda proves your point, so, yeah. Reasonable take
It's fine that he was nerfed, man. We got an entertaining and emotional movie from it that was totally awesome so its cool

This movie made me realise that Tony must have been training, like I've never seen him fight like this
He showed some of his skills in Iron Man 3 when he broke into Trevor's compound
A lot of people forget Tony was trained in Hand to hand combat. He’s just not as trained as the people who are legendary in Hand to hand combat like Black Widow.
He fought a Winter Soldier mode Bucky earlier in the movie with just a fancy glove on so Tony would still dish out even without a suit on.
@@silenthero2795You forgot that Tony should be dead after Winter soldier's punch about 5 tons, and he just got a bruce...
In the comics he was actually trained by Cap so he wouldn't be so heavily dependent on his suit(s).
You know this movie a classic when you can make a whole ass vid for ANY FIGHT SCENE IN THIS MOVIE 💯
@@shoberu1the Russo brothers decided that Cap needed a boost in strength in the MCU in Winter Soldier if he was to be relevant and not another Hawkeye of Black Widow. So, in a way, I think it’s within reason that he could hold back Tony, but it’s a stretch

Watching your parents get squad wiped and then getting your ass beat in a multi billion dollar suit is generational. Like damn bruh 😭
Iron man just like that fr
