Thank you! My exact situation was described by Brian. My wife told me the washer would not cycle. After inspecting the timer motor and reassembling the washer worked fine through a complete cycle while I was leaning on the lid! I put another load in and left the room when I came back it did not cycle. Leaned on it started right up. Lid is bowed just like Brian said.

Just starting this video I hope it helps the only time I'm able to get my washer to cycle through the next cycle is to lift a lid and slam it down.. I do not want to replace this because this is from the 90s and is far better than anything they bill today with the maybe exception for Speed Queen

My Whirlpool LSB6200KQ1 is skipping the drain only cycle, goes from regular agitate to slow agitate then directly to spin with lots of water in the tub, the water will be drained on the spin cycle. All the other operations are normal. I replaced the springs, clutch also pump so I tested it with the lid open that is how I know. Any ideas? Thank You.
Thanks for the video. I have a kenmore washer with this problem but the lid locks when it is in operation. can it be locking but the switch still not activating? I would think the lock would be engaged by the switch. Thanks.
