I just watched Jason's video from a few days ago and you were washing the tow truck. I knew right away that used to belong to a C/P dealer so I had to find your video cause I wanted to know more. Couldn't believe it was from Amaral Motors. I worked at three different C/P dealers in nearby towns and two of them had that same wrecker. I think Dodge Dealers had the red/white color combination. Walking into Amaral Motors was like stepping back in time. I saw a show online somewhere where these guys bought up old cars and parts that Amarals had stored in barns across the street from the dealership. You can probably Google it.
Very cool truck, so glad you rescued it! Now, get that Porsche done and sold so that you can put the money into this! Looking forward to seeing you bring this truck back to its former glory.

Quite the growing collection. Top notch police car. Wrecker. Now you need to go on the hunt for a fire chief's car. I know in the 70s Chicago FD had a lot of C-body Dodges. Hmmmm. 🤔
@@DubWerks Dang! I gave it a shot, tho! Thanks and good luck! Oh, I was wondering if you copy those underhood tow rig data sheets on a flathead scanner whether it would be possible to adjust the images and get the data to show? Just a thought.
Nice to see a unique old Mopar getting some love!
Hopefully a full resto!
OMGoodness ..When Jay find out, you've got a full time job, rescuing his VWs LOL Kind regards Alex
This is a great channel!!... we were doing this stuff back in the 80s....
Great purchase! Congrats! I think I saw it on Marketplace. I remember the faded Dodge on the door. Cool! Good luck!
I can’t imagine a more lucky find. So cool. Keep up the great work.

Cool wrecker...if you can get it working, it'll make adding to your collection easier. 👍
Yes it will!

How about I keep the Porsche and still put money into this?
It’s very rare to find an Ortiz wrecker complete and intact today. They were no where near as popular as Holmes or Weldbuilt. Cool find 👍
We’ve gotta meet your parents. They’ve gotta be the coolest people on the planet
They’re pretty cool
That could be handy to tow your buddies home.
Yes!

Mopars & Volkswagens always go together.
I’ve always have driven Dodges & Bug!

Whoa good score Dub, can’t wait to see its progress
Georgetown Motors was an AMC/Jeep dealership that eventually became a Chrysler franchise until it relocated to Norwalk, CT.
Nice score!

Power Wagon!
You made UTG proud.😁

With all those old rust buckets in the driveway the HOA must love you

I have the 87 Shelby Dodge Charger that you can pull with it.
You better go get a ballast resistor to put in the glove compartment they go to hell without a notice
You don’t see dodge wreckers
You do realize that J will be calling you every time he wants to go get another rustbucket from deep in someones backbyard or the woods dontcha?? 😂
I believe it!
