These videos are way...way...too short. This man has taught me about cars and figuring out basics by his humorous way of doing things. He makes understanding engines and its operational means easy and you also learn about the cars history at the same time. Wish my teachers had this unique way of teaching, and i would have gone into a different field of work. I dont know... I dont know. But once i had to fix my own vehicle i just did it and was "ill be dipped". Lol

Well, as we've recently seen MT doesn't hesitate to kill their babies (Dirt Everyday, etc). So, I'll just stick with Derek's channel for his content since he'll be right back there when they cut him loose at some point anyway.

Love all VGG and related vids. However, the TV show vids are too smooth - they don't film all the problems and how they get solved (duct tape and zip ties). And as others have commented, way too short. Regardless, I'll watch this over anything else on YT (dont watch television).

Only half true. You can tell he's still got his personality in it, but has to watch some wording and not mention pretty much any brands by name. I'm sure he's said stuff that they had to delete or have him "reshoot" so it fit their format more properly. But for the most part, it's still Derek.

The original Budd wheels that came with the vehicle were 16.5", but I guess they got changed out? It's getting a wee bit hard to find 16.5" tires, but it's worth the search because they are real truck wheels and tires.

The problem with Mopar is the electrical system was bad. I had a 76 Ram Charger. I was always changing Regulators and Alternators (sometimes a starter). I am sure the -20F temps we got on a regular basis didn't make the issues any better. The engines though ran great. The engine could be played out.
Plus from Dereks point of view this maybe just a stepping stone on his way to greater things. Income is income in this business. Wrenching for a few dollars more . Maybe the Tube aint paying so well.

Don’t lean on the overflow reservoir, it will literally crumble. Same with the glovebox insert, they just disintegrate. Gotta love that old plastic.
