1956 Volkswagen Oval Beetle RESCUED - How Bad is It?
You bought that truck from Chris in new fairfield he owns a tree service and is a friend of mine
Are you using the gun to shoot primer and also to shoot the finish?
Hey, you really helped me with that tech tip, that video, or whatever.
Good job it help me
this video is not completed and its entirety show the rest since there are not many videos for these classics
Excelent
Nice goin'!! I like color engine bays, not the default black.
Can you name some interchangeable torches? I need a soft flexible one and a pedal.
Did you fit the pan to the body ??? To make sure everything lines up ?
Nice! Where do I get one of those welders? Thanks.
good job will it float ? lol my 1969 would float in water //navy Blue dark blue car
Great job, looks perfect and authentic!
DUBWERKS ARSON LEAKED
Looking great and spot welding them in is the right way,but mig,tig or stick are ok too if that's all you have..
There was something calming with the steady sounds of the spot welder. Nice to see some progress on this vehicle. Have a great day!
Is there a reason why you didn't put the pan in first and then put in that other piece to match where the pan was?
C’mon dude, move the snow pile out of the way
What a beast of a machine :)
Hey man, That spot welder looks like a decent bit of kit. Good to see that you can use works tools on your own projects. You must have a boss that looks after his employees. I lov your videos man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Welcome back 'He who stands with his hands in his pockets' ..i was beginning to think we had lost you, to a fair young maiden ... You can have both ! Knd regrds alex
Encore!
👍
I wondered why you were at your workplace, then I saw the welder. How would us mere mortals do this job??
Good to see you back, waiting for the next installment 👍
Loved the spot welder
Love that spot welder. I will bring my next pan project down to you. lol
Glad to see more VW content from you, Well done !! Great winter project! Looking forward to seeing more work you're doing on the '63!
right on, thxs for sharing...
Great job, That G-spot welder makes it look factory.
Dub works keep up the great work nice job it’s hard to make things work when the parts aren’t adequate but you did the best you could with what you had that’s all that counts seam sealer is amazing hides all body man’s work merry Christmas safety Sally a.k.a. known as Samuel bacon
I'm surprised you are still using that heavy cumbersome horseshoe gspot welder when you have that state of the art stick welder still in the box?
Maybe he's afraid the stick welder might get away from him 😉
Very cool that work allows access to that spot welder. No small amount of time and effort, though.
Great job on using the spot weld machine it make it cleaner indeed. But what happen to the superbug do you still own it
I'm officially jealous of your spot welder!!! Great work.
Having access to the right tools sure does help!
Cool stuff. Good to see you again.
Quick scan of video and it appears RUclips must be treating you right..that spot welding setup can't be cheap
It not his. It belongs to the company he works for.
It is disappointing that the after-market pans don't fit better.....
Why would you paint over patina my guy?
Hello, good afternoon can I install the trim with the glass mounted on the car?
No, that is not possible.
The Westy has a lower profile because the “ceiling” line on the inside is flat and lower, whereas the Riviera’s ceiling is a bus’ line (because it’s a bus). Loved the look of the old Sportsmobile of the late 60s early 70s. Penthouse like a Riv, but they had in my opinion, a cleaner shell and look when put up. I think the hardware to put the shell up was on the inside of the canvas of a Sportsmobile
I once had an English built ‘Devon’ camper (here in New Zealand) that had been re fitted with a westfalia interior by the previous owner. He preferred the Devon’s poptop roof but wanted the westy interior so he bought one of each, swapped the interiors and sold off the one he didn’t need. It was awesome! I didn’t own it for long unfortunately. I wish I never sold it. It went to a Porsche mechanic/ collector who wanted a camper-van for his family that also fitted in with his car collection
Dubs - there's no doubt you have the better bus.
You missed the most important difference, Westfalia fits in a garage the Riviera doesn't!
Woah, calm down Dubworks you got a little to excited here😊
The plaid in that westy is just plain awesome with yosemite yellow.
We had a ‘73 exactly like this one in 1978 when we were first married. (In AZ). I currently have a ‘67 that I restored - drove it around town running some errands today. Over the years I’ve had 5 bugs and enjoyed each one.
So Riviera's are shit. Check.
Cool video! I like the Westfalia roof better. The Riviera is long and tall, but I prefer having windows up top for air flow.
Keep us posted. Good to see you.
