I once had an English built ‘Devon’ camper (here in New Zealand) that had been re fitted with a westfalia interior by the previous owner. He preferred the Devon’s poptop roof but wanted the westy interior so he bought one of each, swapped the interiors and sold off the one he didn’t need. It was awesome! I didn’t own it for long unfortunately. I wish I never sold it. It went to a Porsche mechanic/ collector who wanted a camper-van for his family that also fitted in with his car collection
The Westy has a lower profile because the “ceiling” line on the inside is flat and lower, whereas the Riviera’s ceiling is a bus’ line (because it’s a bus). Loved the look of the old Sportsmobile of the late 60s early 70s. Penthouse like a Riv, but they had in my opinion, a cleaner shell and look when put up. I think the hardware to put the shell up was on the inside of the canvas of a Sportsmobile
The Dubster! Nice to have you back.
Keep us posted. Good to see you.

You missed the most important difference, Westfalia fits in a garage the Riviera doesn't!
Thanks 😊
Love the plaid interior.
The plaid in that westy is just plain awesome with yosemite yellow.
Cool video! I like the Westfalia roof better. The Riviera is long and tall, but I prefer having windows up top for air flow.
That Westphalia is hardcore late 60s early 70s colors.
thxs for sharing...

Dubs - there's no doubt you have the better bus.
