Thanks for doing a video about Life: Yet Another Learning Experience! Without people like you, willing to be honest about your process, I can get really down on myself for not getting everything right the first time! 👍👍❤️
One section at a time or install fenders and deck lid and clamp apron and inner quarters then tack the quarters leave apron and deck lid on and weld as much as you can then take fenders off and deck lid and appron as ya weld it in. Live and learn. You can re do those inner quarters. You wont be happy unless its spot on. Thanks for video
I hate to tell you this but a concours judge will kill you on points ….. rear body mount has a square hole …. it should be an oval hole …. Rear crossmembers have seam sealer where it should not. Klokker holm patch panels suck, go with wolf parts rear quarter patch panels and Klassic Fab heat channels. Buy quality parts and it will save you a lot of time and $$$$. Keep up the good work.
I haven’t finished yet. Trust me, I’m familiar with all of the inaccuracies in the replacement parts and will be correcting them. The seam sealer shouldn’t be a big deal, you won’t be able to tell unless you dig it out with a pick when I’m done doing it the way I do. Very tight beads smoothed out and pushed into the seam. No big globs, unless the factory had them LOL.
Its your car to do with as you want, but can I strongly advise you not to make it a Herbie car. I may recommend slammed to the ground or go factory original. Or. Turbo an engine, throw a five speed conversion in it, slam it low, paint it stock whatever color it was originally. Leave the interior as og as u can. Mount a Autometer 8k five inch monster tach with a shift ligt and oil pressure light on your dash, get some five point seatbelts and go race people around town.
Working on my own 63 Rag.
Pans going in this weekend.
Nice!
Good to see you back online! Keep plugging along😀
Like the inner wing bolt plates you made 👍
Thanks for the update 😊👍

With your experience on how these little cars are put together, I think this guy is going to come great. Thanks Dubs!
Concours? Now that's ambitious....

Wow! Such a hassle, and yet you are doggedly moving forward! Well done!

You gonna put the correct deck lid on later?
Yup! The Herbie one is just because it’s mounting brackets haven’t been torn or anything.
