That little smile he has at 28:24 .... UGH. My heart can't take it!! This man needs to be protected at all costs. If he dies in the third game, or doesn't show up at all, I. WILL. RIOT.
@@zerosashes I honestly don’t ship Kotallo with Aloy. They are good friends at this point but I really can’t picture them as more. When I saw Fashav I was like "OK I immediately like this guy in this hostile place. I hope he's not goning Vala lol!" and he went ahead and did. So when Kotallo said "On my life" I screamed NO.
I really do enjoy the banter as Aloy's new companions learn about the old world. I do wish they commented a bit more about how wonderous these things are & how they are probably one of the few ppl in the entire living world to now know these things, & how astounding it is what she's doing here. To think there's this otherworldly conflict going on behind the scenes, one that trumps all others, & yet no one even knows it...
Hey. To each their own man. You do you. Agreat story either way 😝. I've been tempted to turn of the helmet part, cause she has amazing hair. But the thinder warrior elite armor has an amazing headpiece. With the right face paint, and armor dye, she almost looks like a machine 😁 A mini thunder jaw to be exact
Kotallo NEEDS to be in the 3rd game. To me, he has become the Horizon version of Garrus. There is no Mass Effect without Garrus. There is no Horizon without Kotallo :D
Noshir dalal has such a charming and soothing voice that I litrally saved this video to my playlist to listen to and fall asleep to his voice. Same goes for Ashley Burch her voice as Aloy is just as soothing
I will say one thing I really appreciated about Kotallo is when he was given the truth about the Faro Plague and the end of the Old World he just rolled with it. Alva too, her "f**k this guy" in relation to Faro will always be hilarious to me.
What a game this was! An absolute masterpiece! This could make for an incredible multi part Hollywood Blockbuster! I hope an ambitious Director does exactly that one day.
Whoa whoa wait a second in your recording Aloy contacts Zoe and asks her to guide Kotalo back to their base but in both of my games that I have played so far she actually contacts Varl, and asked him to guide Kotalo .and he says "on it" I wonder how you got the different response than I did in my playthroughs
@OCGaming1 the last person I spoke to before that mission was Errand tho.... I played a game of strike with him before I left. Ya gotta wonder how he keeps infection at bay, being on the road with that arm like that. In reality, there is just no possible way he survives like that.
Nah, people could survive amputation since the stone age, the oldest known case is from 31.000 years (!) ago. Someone from Borneo got their lower leg amputated and lived for another six to nine years. In Horizon there may be fewer pathogens altogether because the entire ecosphere was made up from scratch by GAIA. The new humans also have easy access to clean water and healing plants. And they also seem to be stronger, more athletic and more durable than us. He totally could survive the injury. It should take a few months to heal, sure. But I don't know exactly how the canonical timeline of Forbidden West looks.
People survived loss of limbs for hundreds of years before pharmaceuticals. I can easily believe the Tenakth have the knowledge to stem such wounds (and if they don't the Utaru probably do). We just don't see it in game.
Lol I played Forbidden West when it came out and just started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time and heard Charles and was like OMG Kotallo 😂
Lol how did Kotallo's arm already have that cloth thing on it literally right after he was pulled from under the machine? Just couldn't show the end of a severed arm in this game I guess?
"A friend of yours.... This should be interesting!". See, now THAT is how you write good dialogue! He already holds Aloy in very high regard, & just that little line alone shows his curiosity for her. I've always preferred the gameplay of Japanese developed games but narratively speaking, Western games blow them out of the water. Ppl should play Japanese developed games like Zelda for Switch, and the FF7 Remake, and see just how inferior the writing is compared to Western developed titles. Japanese devs just don't understand the subtleties of writing a gripping narrative. Those little lines sprinkled about, they go a LONG way in enriching the Narrative experience... Something most Japanese developed games lack. The narrative in these Japanese games ends up ringing hollow, other times downright strange. If these Japanese devs were smart, they'd hire Western writers to write their scripts. Games like this and GOW Ragnarok completely outclass most Japanese games, narratively speaking. I believe Japan sorely needs to revamp their storytelling, as their games lack subtlety & relatability, as well as narrative depth. They could stand to learn a thing or two from the stories presented in many modern Western titles.
I dont ship Aloy and Kotallo but that moment at 10:10:45 where she touches his arm like that I got it haha Still dont ship them but that made me feel a bit tingly

"That was an unkind comparison " the moment I liked him, the intro where he throws the spear and holds off the machine

I want him to spit on me
Haha I'd find it impossible to take Aloy seriously with her wearing that ridiculous Utaru corn husk outfit.

The Utaru have to be the most pathetic tribe of them all 😂😂😂
I agree. When I first played, I used the Nora Annointed outfit for most of the game lol

"Kotallo, you got a minute?"
"Can it wait? GAIA has shown me something called 'calibrations.'"

The fact that kotallo was able to stop a huge charging mechanical beast is amazing as hell
