I really like the progression in this boss fight. It starts out as what seems like an unwinnable battle, but we slowly wear it down. There's enough variety to keep things interesting, and enough stuff happening at once to feel like time isn't on hold.
It makes you wonder that considering we’ve known about the Horus Titan since the first game and we finally got to fight one in the second game, what far more dangerous enemy in scale and threat could be in the third game beyond the horizon? Pun intended! Will it be a hodgepodge of Faro robots or will Nemesis have created something far more sinister?
Well I think that nemesis is a mech kinda like specter prime but a lot more dangerous. But I think the real scale of its threat will be it waking up ALL of the old world machines including corrupters, deathbringers, and every Horus. It’s gonna try and redo the extinction signal but this time it’ll be there to make sure the job gets done
I like to think that Sylens got a little more hopeful defeating nemesis, hearing that aloy just took down a Horus, extending her legacy of doing the impossible.
I tough they will pull out a Horus in part 3, i never expected guerilla to pull out a Horus in part 2.. I Wonder what kind of enemy will they pull out in part 3 lol..BTW this is how final fight in mass effect 3 should be.. Propper fight with harbinger.
When you realize we might pilot a Horus in the third game be ause this just proved its possible and NEMESIS might have some giant spectres waiting for us
HORUS and the boss battle against it are awesome. The fact that Aloy can damage the most powerful military robot (albeit not fully functional. It does not consume biomass and produce SCARABs and KHOPESHes at an alarming rate) of the Old Ones with a bow is not. It makes the Old Ones look stupid. They needed lasers, railguns, plasma weapons etc to defeat it, yet Aloy does it with a bow... P.S. In some instances, Aloy uses a Far Zenith weapon. This makes much more sense.
If I could ask Faro and his scientists anything: regardless of what the machine was capable of, how do you create something of that size and that design and genuinely think it was a good idea
I was dreaming about this. Imagine how scary had to be knowing that faro plague is coming for you, there is no escape at all. You can only sit by the window at your apartment and looking to the horizont, at far distance hills when the scary unrealistic tentacles of horus titan first time appear, you hear detonation and flashes which are closer and closer.
I feared that the expectations I set for this fight were too high. It not only reached them, but surpassed them. Also, lets hope Seyka shows up in Horizon 3.
I saw this at first and thought it was AMAZING! Well, except for the fact it summoned mooks to fight for it; boss fights just shouldn't have that. Boss fights should be about fighting the BOSS. Also, I was a bit disappointed that too much of it dealt with the Horus' underside and we couldn't really "face" it face to face. "No need to worry!" says the game. "The second phase of this boss will be you fighting it on a variant of a platform while the colossus is over a variant of an edge and you dispatch it by plucking away at its digits! Just like what could've been absolutely amazing boss fights from every other video game ever!" But... that defeats the point. It's a giant unstoppable robot crab-octopus that single-handedly ended battles in ancient history. It's cool BECAUSE it's a mobile threat that you actually move around and fight like the colossi from 'Shadow of the Colossus', not... some giant that plays with its food on a plate. "Oh, I'm sorry! Okay, here; you can actually get inside the giant robot, go through platforming challenges, and strike the core!" Now THAT is what I'm talking about! It's a massive robot; make it act like one! Make it fight like one! And the climbing segments make the most of the game's mobility mechanics and treat it like a level unto itself! That is GOOD! "Thank you! Now here's a third phase where it flings extremely easy to avoid attacks and stands in one place!" ... The way this is executed is still better than the second phase, though.
The one thing that breaks the emersion for me in this game. Is the fact that the faro plague wiped out all of humanity, all life.. armies and endless man power fought and lost against it, but one girl seems to take down more than a handful with just a bow and arrow
put a tank next to the ocean for ten years and tell me how well it runs. It's a miracle that titan was semi-functional at-all. None of our current technology is designed to last longer than 10 years much less a thousand.
In my school vr game there's 2 active horus titans the first referred as a horus titan that Goalius rebooted and repair will turning the corruptors into healers and the second in the vulcan fury campaign known as the metal devil the horus titan Goalius has is a ally and moving base will the metal devil is a boss with the exact same moves the only major difference is how to defeat it (to defeat the metal devil you as Goalius must be in thunder rex mode (thunderjaw style armour) sever 2 of its tentacles then go to murder back mode (slaughterspine style armour) and sever the legs and destroy the corruptors and deathbringers once done you as default Goalius pick it up and carry it to the well to hell once done a cutseen of Goalius kicking it into the well and it goes to hell lumin sage that piloted the dang thing Included) once the fights over you get the ending of the campaign is Goalius reported it to anubus and anubus hugs Goalius and told him good luck on his date
Did the fight last night, and oh boy it was epic and breathtaking - from the visuals to the audio to the action. Love this game. There's one thing I would like to ask from this video - I saw that your "Advanced Hunter Arrow" is applying Plasma and Frost while attacking the Corruptors, what did that?
This thing at full power would have been unstoppable. Producing war machines, drilling through bunkers, likely pulling the metal and coal for gunpowder from the ground itself, shooting anything that gets close, stomping it's way over any kind of terrain in it's way...
Man these things must have been a pain in the ass to deal with at maximum power, fleets of deathbringers and corruptors as well as its replication tech.

This is just one of them with technical issues and not at full power, with the knowledge of how to take them down and time to break it down.
The humans of the past were blindsided completely, and were running under the assumptiom that there was no chance in hell of defeating them other than letting them do their thing and just restarting when they power off.
Crazy
On top of the fact that this one was piloted by a single person. One of the original ones could probably use all of its limbs and weaponry AND forge simultaneously
This is a broken Horus. A fully functioned Horus would have killed Aloy in 1 second.
I loved this DLC so much! Just finished it recently and man the boss fight was so awesome! I literally can’t wait for the next game in about 4-5 years.
The graphics blew me away
This is the kind of epic expect in the 3rd game but I’ll be happy with whatever
Calling it now, Erend will die at the final mission of the third game.
Rost died at the prologue.
Varl died in the middle.
They just introduced Nemesis and Far Zenith tech, the FARO machines aren't exactly the biggest possible threat anymore.
@@azazel166 I’ll come back to this comment in 4years
Fr, this dlc hardly feels like a dlc. Felt kinda like a whole new game ngl
@@azazel166I wouldn't doubt it
Playing on UH was painful lmao. Dying feels like a real threat when the slightest oopsie costs half your healing
Painful? More like ✨️immersive✨️
Man… imagine if Hades had managed to awaken a Metal Demon at full power? GOD! It would be hell on earth again!
I hate to be that guy but why is red fall 30 fps, but you have something like this at 60fps
Because XBOX is the thing that’s NOT a PlayStation. All the money in the world doesn’t mean anything if no one respects your brand.
It even goes up to 120 fps.
This performance mod 60fps 😅
@@myers687 BF 2042 has massive 64v64 lobbies. The maps are MASSIVE and the amount of shit happening on and off screen is insane and it runs at 60fps on consoles.
Because Xbox are lazy and all they do is throw money at every thing u think without Microsoft backing gamepass xbox would be able to Do what it does? PlayStation woulda been king a long time ago if they didn’t hve microsoft backing Xbox
That was a cool boss fight
Bro this fight was GRUELING and I loved it for that. I was legitimately tired after that last battle
First we get to fly around with the sunwing. Than we get a flying mount that lets you explore underwater. Than a Horus fight. I get the feeling the devs of this game actually listen to its players.
The soundtrack at 1:47 🤍
The soundtrack for the whole DLC was crazy.
Yeah, I got chills.
Remember. This thing is an extremely damaged and worn down Horus. Nowhere near its full power.
Ever since I saw it in the first game I was excited to fight it. I was not disappointed when I did. Best boss fight I’ve played so far.
This boss fight and the music score was top notch!
Ancient half powered mecha-Cthulhu that hands down, was the best fight of Horizon. Thus far. I can't wait for part 3 and the joy that'll bring.
Almost a thousand years later and this thing was still working - you gotta hand it to FAS - they sure knew how to build robots.
Wished there was a segment where you shoot at the Horus from flying above going throughout the city and then you fall off and fight the legs power cores. Feel like they’re gonna utilize the full potential of a Horus fight in Horizon 3
Btw: The Dialogue after the fight was absolutely ridiculous.
They defeated fucking cthulu
„Haha dont leave me waiting“
„He threw a horus at me!“
„Oh did he? Well, that couldnt have been easy lol“
Like
Every single person would be like
„… WHAT THE FUCK DID WE JUST DO?!?????“
„I DONT KNOW MAN“
„AHHHHHHH“ *Screams in disbelieve*
„OH MY GOOOOOOOD“
Yeah that’s the only thing that pissed me off. Like, it should have been hundreds, if not, thousands of Quens going to salvage that thing and in awe while doing so.
I really like the progression in this boss fight. It starts out as what seems like an unwinnable battle, but we slowly wear it down. There's enough variety to keep things interesting, and enough stuff happening at once to feel like time isn't on hold.
0:31 Horus active
If that Horus was fully operational, Aloy would have been a smear on the Hollywood sign
It was this sequence when I realized why this dlc was PS5 only!!
To cite one of the comment above : an angry bear with tentacles......
What's the theme that plays in this fight?
The tracks aren’t out yet
This should’ve been the final boss for the main game. It’s more epic and grand compared to the other one
Yeah but the main game was on PS4, good luck getting the PS5 to handle THAT
Months later, this entire fight still gives me goosebumps.
I've done it twice now and it was just so much fun. 💙
When you realize we might pilot a Horus in the third game be ause this just proved its possible and NEMESIS might have some giant spectres waiting for us
now imagine you were a civilian in Enduring Victory trying to fight one of these things.....
WHAT THE HECK IS THE SUPER DRAMATIC THEME?! 2:01
It's literally the first time we've got to fight a freaking Horus. Dramatic theme valid
Do note that this DLC had to increase the visual distance the game could render. I believe this fight was the reason for such a change.
jeez, Aloy sure knows how to bag the big ones, doesn't she? XD
14:44-15:21 was a god tier mix of music, action, and the horus looking terrifying. That part of the boss fight had me on edge!!!
I just did this battle, it took me speechless, awesome
Great game, and this ending is very wonderful. I never expected to confront Horus, but the confrontation is very wonderful
I just downloaded and beat this DLC that I didn't even know existed and holy shit I wasn't expecting all this!
I was like: DUDE HIT SOMETHING!!! but then i remembered how i struggeled with this fight :D Thanks for the 4K i was so excited to see the fight again.
DEVS ARE TALENTED OMG
I feared that the expectations I set for this fight were too high. It not only reached them, but surpassed them. Also, lets hope Seyka shows up in Horizon 3.
I guess it would be very exciting to watch the movie analogue of this game.
If Rost could see us now!
I’m so happy that I passed this mission since Londra in Vulcan with only one death which was in a fight with this first ”boss”.
Just like what could've been absolutely amazing boss fights from every other video game ever!"
But... that defeats the point.
Okay, here; you can actually get inside the giant robot, go through platforming challenges, and strike the core!"
Now THAT is what I'm talking about! It's a massive robot; make it act like one! Make it fight like one! And the climbing segments make the most of the game's mobility mechanics and treat it like a level unto itself! That is GOOD!
"Thank you! Now here's a third phase where it flings extremely easy to avoid attacks and stands in one place!"
... The way this is executed is still better than the second phase, though.
Crazy how a Full power Horus Negs _💀_
The one thing that breaks the emersion for me in this game. Is the fact that the faro plague wiped out all of humanity, all life.. armies and endless man power fought and lost against it, but one girl seems to take down more than a handful with just a bow and arrow
Its 1000 years old lol.
put a tank next to the ocean for ten years and tell me how well it runs. It's a miracle that titan was semi-functional at-all. None of our current technology is designed to last longer than 10 years much less a thousand.
This is an extremely damaged, barely operational horus, its honestly a miracle any of the horus titans even remained functional
Horizon is a modern masterpiece.
Animation - 1000
Music - 1000
Boss fight - 1000
Giant Octopus boss fight
Nah bro, it was doctor octavious on a lot of steroids
I would love to see a movie where it shows when the shit hit the fan before the HZD events or Horizon game where we play as Elisabet Sobeck
I was disappointed when they didn’t have a horus battle in the main story. but seeing it here as a dlc is epic as fook
Now this is a final boss. 100x better than spectre prime
1:04 her plot armor is so insane
Tbf in gameplay she survives a barrage of large caliber bullets that would tear through concrete. Rost built her different.
It would have been better if the Horus had made a whole nuclear explosion when it got destroyed
This games music is insane
Music stopped playing during new game + on pc as of april 12th, anything else having this problem?
Humans never stood a chance vs faro machines at its prime
Super big 😂😅 sa lahat ng boss ng mga games ito pinakamalaki nakit ko sa youtube😂
Can you imagine all the entire world facing too many Horus working? It make me sad when I think about what the Faro's plague did with the mankind.
We got to fight a fucking map
