One of my favorite parts of the game was being able to have conversations at the base it just seemed really interesting

I couldn't help but go through every single dialogue option after every main mission, the characters are just so amazing.

I like what they talk in passive conversations. Like for example, Erend telling that old ones like to wear blades on their foot to walk on ice and then calls old ones stupid. So many other convos which take a dig at our current societal norms too.
Friendship ended with varl and now kotallo is my new best friend
They really made an incredible masterpiece with this game

Kotallo really stole the show this game. All I wanted was more time with him, nevermind Erend and Varl.
It is dangerous for us girls to play this game. Kotallo’s eyes have fire whenever he looks at Alloy, his voice gets deeper, and I’m in trouble just trying to understand what’s going on.

@@tthrhraplayz5651 not sure when the third will come out; the ending cliffhanger just heavily suggests there will be a third game. I'm sure we'll have at least one dlc for this game before that. And I bet the third one will be awesome!
@@vfreek4ever899 I think the dlc is going to take awhile like the first one did. but ya I can’t wait for the third one. I hope storylines are better, we climb wherever we want but alittle touch to the climb. and I hope for the third one it won’t be as hard as “very hard”
Kotallo is SOOO dreamy. His eyes and the tiny smile he gives Aloy from time to time.

I love Erend, I love Kotallo, and I would love to see their actual friendship properly on screen rather then it being implied by conversations you have with them. Horizon forbidden west sufferd from telling not showing a lot when it came to character dynamics. the side cast has potential to be amazing, but only of the writers actualy bother to flesh them out on screen and make them Aloy's equals rather then sidekicks. It worked in uncharted with Nate/Elena/Sully/Sam/Cloe. They should not be afraid to the same for Aloy. I love Aloy, but I'm kind of over everyone always complimenting her all the time (and yes Kotallo is also guilty of this). Still amazing new character, I also liked Alva (she really grew on me in the end). I didn't care much for Zo (found her a bit patronizing and needlesly harsh to Erend who was already struggeling with low selfesteem). But I do hope to see the whole cast fleshed out, including personal growth for all of them, and interactions with each other, not just Aloy. Show us, dont tell us. I love the cast but it does feel like I love them despite the way they have been utelised, not because of it.
Kinda like what Bioware did with the Normandy crew in Mass Effect 2 and 3?
On the contrary I think it fits perfectly thematically. Aloy is shown as a lone wolf, with the need to do everything on her own, often shying away from social events. She herself is not usually at the base and much less with her friends. So, from her perspective, she misses out on all the social activities that occur at the base, only getting to know it by word of mouth.
I wonder what happened with Varl and ale in Meridian? Now I’m curious XD

Erend is a great character. He just isn't done justice by the team. Thats the real problem here. Erend was great when we came across him the beginning of this game, but afterwards the team decided to make him a joke character who gets mocked by everyone and who is constandly struggeling with self esteem issues. There is no problem with a character having self esteem issues, provided the story tellers actualy make that relevant for his or her story/character growth. They did very little with him in this game. Erend is great, he just desserves better then he's gotten.
@@amberanime eh not really, at least not in my opinion. he’s the least interesting in terms of the GAIA Gang and his story was wrapped up in the first game. I feel like Erend was only dragged along so the audience could have another familiar face which easily could have been replaced by Petra or Talanah who both had things going for them. Erend always needs someone to be in his corner which makes him more of a hindrance than anything else which is why I think he should have gotten axed in place of Varl. Take him out of the story and nothing changes. He wasn’t integral to any plot and brought next to nothing to the table outside a few jokes.
