    I and another driver did a long round trip across the country. Same exact route. He finished days ahead of me. My supervisor told me that he was going to have to talk to me about my continued employment. I cleaned out the truck thinking i was fired. Turned out the company owner found out about the faster driver running illegally and fired him instead. He stood to lose millions if there was an accident

    Regarding 3:35: There is NO law that states a cop has to say he or she is a cop. People that believe there is such a "law" are stupid.

    Yes he should be reported. I don't understand how he thinks that everybody else supposed to be law by truck drivers and he can just run rampant. He should be reported investigated and if hes done anything he said that hes doing his license should be taken away. Immediately.

    North Ga to Savannah in 80-85 MPH trucks are always available.... SEEK and YE SHALL FIND... Just need to know your limits and how to avoid heavy traffic. Also, the owners of fast trucks just don't turn anybody loose behind the wheel. I had no problems going to Miami and straight back when I was younger in the late 80's/early 90's. 1759 mile round trip with an average of 22 hours twice a week. EXTREMELY tired upon returning and a two day rest. Call me lucky for most steer tires have a 75mph max speed.

    Howabout, instead of running illegally for peanuts with a company thats going under, why not get hired by a company that pays better and isnt solely based on the spot-market? If you dont have any endorsements (or only one or two), why not get (more of) them?

    • @Brett235
      @Brett235 11 месяцев назад

      Just drive. Stop when you want to take a break for a few minutes. It isn't hard once you're body gets accustomed to it. Don't get me wrong, your body cannot hold up to that day in and day out even on dope. At some point you have to shut it down and recoup. At my age I'd rather run steady and make decent money than run hard like that and make descent money.

      Truck driving is WAY more riskier. A lot of weight, huge vehicle and a lot to pay attention to. Your brain should be very alert. The stress alone can wear you out.

    Started OTR during Covid. I was running 5k a week. Others were running 6k+. We made good money. My family was taken care of. Now we’re struggling. These damn ELD’s and other regulations are milking us. Let us run how we know we can run. I’m not gonna risk my like. If I’m tired then I’m gonna pull over. I want to see my kids grow up. But I also find want them to grow up homeless.

    Be careful what you ask for cause you just might get it. Rule # 1. Never volunteer information especially filming it online. I have 16 years 48 state Reefer hauling back in the mid 80s to 2002 paper logs and being pushed to get there, Fresh out the military physically fit and that was 6 mi a day running average. You might be able to run a few at 1,000 mi a day but you won't be able to sustain that pace long term as your looking not so fit in your vid. Your biggest problem is getting all your receipts to match your log books, fuel stubs and turn pikes and groceries, load and drop papers. Dot comes and audits your company and your boss says he didn't know you were doing it. Been there and done that. Everytime you cross a scale there is electronic evidence of where that truck was. 1 truck 1 driver can only run so many miles a week no matter how many log books you run and try to justify.
    And if your doing any of the current street stimulants to stay alert I would prefer not having to share the roads with you because unless it is medical grade you don't have a clue as to what your putting into your body. To many vehicles sharing the roads these days and most don't seem to have a clue and CAMERAS recording everything.
