I wonder if this applies to Canadian drivers in the U S ? The reason I ask is, Canadians who've had a DUI in Canada, can still enter the U S. But not the other way. An American who has, at any point in their past, as an adult, had a DUI will NEVER be allowed to operate ANY motor vehicle in Canada.
I like how y’all let people insult me on your channel but when I respond with common sense, it gets deleted. I’m unsubscribing from your channel and disliking every video you put out.

@@user-jd4xo7gn7h Dont worry. The department of tyrants are on track to help destroy american logistics. Cannabis is not causing accidents. Just stupid people who have too low of an IQ. Toke up and make every trucker look bad. They are about to change the regulation scheduling. All the city commie trucking companies were crying about the problems. So fmcsa and DOT compromised.
Hell, They should do car / truck drivers (4wheel) the same way.
That wouldn't solve the dwi/dui problems as much as your thinking.
@@diegodonjuan probably not. But. Just a thought.
They do in some states, especially when it comes to DUI - pilots in the same category as truck drivers on this one too and don’t think the pay is much better especially for cargo and shuttle pilots…
At least it would get cars off the road.
Why? It isn’t enough money hahaha- trucks are big game and it really pays off when they can catch someone with drugs and alcohol. DOT officer wouldn’t have to work as hard after that stop lol
Every driver and their employer knows damn well if they failed or refused a DOT drug test before. If u never failed or refused a DOT drug test then u don't have shit to worry about.

If FMCSA wanted to get rid of drivers and help make it better for us they should get the Canadians and the Mexican truck drivers out of the United States there are over 200,000 Canadians allowed in the United States that drive through this country every day and vice versa with Mexico those are American loads that should be towed by American trucks we are not one country with those countries we are a sovereign government when we need to have our government protect our rights this country does not belong to the government this country belongs to the citizens
If they're going to do the truck drivers they need to do the cars to there's way way too many people that drink and drive don't have a license but yet they will put illegals in the truck that don't know any English and can't read the signs I bet you they don't have to do anything
There is a much bigger problem with load brokers remotely operating from Europe and India.
Should be the same in Canada. Get rid of all the American truck drivers so they're not taking our jobs Up here. You can do switches at the border. And southern truck drivers can't drive in snow so it would be much safer up here.
you are over the top silly. If you think you would like to work for a company that hires Mexican drivers go for it. You are very wrong about Canada drivers 100%
@@Victorseafog I don't know anything about Canadian drivers I only watched the videos during the truck convoy last year but I know by insurance stage and said they can put all the illegals in the trucks and they don't have to read or understand English why do you think when there's so many accidents they get out and run because they don't want to get caught I'm glad I'm off the road and not driving truck anymore
The vast majority of federal law needs to go to the shredder
They make too hard. Police and prison guards can work 16 hour shifts but drivers can’t….nurses, doctors all can work all day but not us.
Listen as a professional driver a commercial driver we all need to be drug free on the roads because we have families that travel next to of vehicles and we should be at the top of our game when rolling. Now those drivers that think its a game being under the influence whole driving we don't need you commercial driver's arr the best of the best regardless of country we have a duty to represent our families and our company while we push up the road i have seen driver's in the state of Georgia smoking marijuana and i politely moved my truck thanks for the information Sir

I retired from OTR. I could never wrap my brain around why truck stops had alcohol available. Either in the conscience store or restaurant or the lounge. Yeah. Truck stops had lounges. Honestly most CDL drivers are dangerous with or without drugs. I’m watching you guys. Most of you guys are just stupid. I don’t think drugs are a factor in every stupid mistake you guys make on the road
Damn! 163k drivers in the prohibited status, that’s crazy.
Does this mean rates will go up & traffic will go down? win/win
No. Rates will stay the same. Shippers will keep asking for price cuts!
People are broke and not buying as much so freight is slow. The brookshires grocery store in my town has to throw away thousands of dollars worth of food every week because people aren't buying it, even after price drops. The guy at Best Buy here told me that things are abnormally slow and they're looking to lay off some people. The Verizon clerk told me that people aren't getting new phones as often as they used to because they just cannot afford them. It's not just the brokers or the shippers, it's the crashing economy.
They announced it ahead of time so people can start working on fixing it. I don't think this is going to take enough drivers off the road to help rates much
What owner operators don’t realize or care about is it rates go up the price for food and everything else will go up to pay for the higher rates just like higher wages for workers does the same thing it is common sense people
I’ll believe it when I see it.

My co driver had already mentioned to them that she left her wallet at a TA and her license was in there. The company still chose to give us loads that required 2 drivers to get loads to receiver on time. This industry sucks totally. Too many regulations and too many companies that are untruthful. Substance Abuse Professional, A person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
Actually, until this ruling, there was a growing number of companies accepting SAP drivers, even some over non-SAP drivers, due to the fact they could pay them less and lock them into a 2-Year contract threw the SAP agreement, if they leave the company they end starting over. Its a big problem and it drives driver pay down, it was such a success for the companies that some were abusing the system and preferring SAP drivers 🤔…

I would like to know what the out of pocket costs are to a driver who gets caught up in a positive test? We were all sold on the theory that if you had a “problem” you were sent to be reeducated then as a humane thing to do is give the driver a second chance. Never been in the situation personally but from what I’ve read the ones with the “problem” basically have to buy 💰 your way in
It's free to check
Thank you Alex
I checked my clearinghouse immediately, lol
I just took drug test at my Union company where they come to the warehouse to Test us along with a breathalyzer test for alcohol. it's a mobile service
So we don't get sent to a clinic. I think maybe to prevent a person from acquiring fake piss or teeth brushing or something.
For me it's a trip because this is the 1st company I ever worked for that does this, lol.
...but I love my job and don't mess around anyway with anything and I absolutely love being a TEAMSTER of local 848 💪💪💪
If you take a drug with ecstasy or cocaine then the company will say that the insurance companies won't allow them to hire you even if you do the sap program it's bull crap
Dam, look at how they will react to this news
Glad I’ve never been caught. Been clean for MONTHS! Just at home though. Never on the road. Weed, LSD, and shrooms. All life changing 🙏🏽 Should be legal.
They gotta go through the Sap program asap
I want to know why the DMV in California gave a NON-SPEAKING OR READ ENGLISH person a CDL. At my DOT Physical a guy could not fill out his paperwork because he did NOT SPEAK OR READ English. The co-worker filled out the paperwork. I AM BEYOND PISSED!!!
I am a truck driver going through the process now. It is troublesome definitely. I had to pay $500 to obtain a SAP appointee. I got fired for testing positive for marijuana in my system when I was sent on a random drug test by my former employer. A person is stuck in this limbo situation unable to get out of it until he/she finds an employer that will hire him/her knowing they are in the SAP program. The employer has to send you for a RTD test and send you for at least “6” random “observed” drug tests within one year after the initial RTD test. This incident stays on your FMCSA record for 5 years afterwards. It’s a real pain. All for one joint. Needless to say. I have quit smoking marijuana permanently because I really want to be a truck driver but I think this punishment is too harsh. 😢
Great info bro the sap program was easy but pricey
That’s cool, clean up these roads, lots of jackoffs out there
Greetings: They keep coming up with new ways 2 reinvent the already broken wheel. The 1st decade of CDL a temporary loss of commercial privileges was DSQ status. It applied 2 all offenses.
What it means is get ready for super high inflation which is the whole purpose
Damn that many prohibited drivers is crazy numbers.
I had a poppy seed muffin for lunch.
Then you failed! Just like if I ate asparagus!
Snifild episode
So drugs lose license, seems fair to me and roads may be safer.
It’s always been that way so I don’t understand why people are mad. Can’t do dope and be a trucker
163k people? Ohhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooooooo……
There’s already a “severe driver shortage”
What’s going to happen to the economy if they lose even more drivers?
Ohhhhhhhhh noooooooooooo
That's an awful lot of drivers. I'm in that data base just because It went to my employer at the time. But not because I ever had a dirty test or because I ever refused a test either. Something is fishy. But I will look into it none the less.
Our pay should go up too 😁
Western express is going bankrupt
This is 💯 % true i got stop by dot in Rhode Island. Find out i was prohibited in clearinghouse got towed. they will tow your truck like you never had a CDL make sure you are registered in clearinghouse and make sure your drug and alcohol test is updated in clearinghouse some dot dont run clearinghouse some do your choice respect drivers
Nice service that you provide.
Also keep in mind this is 100k plus people we are talking about. 100k plus jobs. Business will close, trucking companies will close and it will hurt the industry if we keep letting the government control our way
they need to outlaw flip flops and put drivers out of service when they drive with flip flops!
Let’s get those rates up!
It’s impossible to get it situated because they take so long to get back in touch with you!! Right now my wife is dealing with this and have been since January. The doctors office took cleaned up everything and said it was a mistake due to the second test being a passed test but the FMCSA say we need a consortium but we pull for a carrier 🧐so that’s not needed!!!
The DataQ supposed to have 45 days for the FMCSA to email or send a letter out but nothing has happened and we also have CDL helpers involved
I'm on the road from 4 too 8 weeks at a time and I will not have even a sip of alcohol until I get home and I don't do drugs . I just don't feel like it's the right place or time for that type of relaxation.
All these coming regulations make me so happy I only have 1 year 6 months and 26 days until retirement. FREEEDOOOM !!!
Good for u; God Bless , in Jesus Christ name
Anytime you are driving a vehicle that is used for commercial purposes should be required to have to be tested for drugs and alcohol.
there are alot of things can give you a false positive drug test from food or everyday over the counter medicine
Pain relievers (specifically those containing acetaminophen, salicylates or phenacetin)
Cough syrups containing glyceryl guaiacolate
Muscle relaxants containing mephenesin or methocarbamol
Antidepressants including imipramine and monamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
Isoniazid (antibiotic used to fight tuberculosis and other diseases)
Methenamine (antibiotic used to fight urinary tract infections)
Methyldopa (used to treat high blood pressure)
Phenothiazines (used to treat mental or emotional disorders)
HIV Medication Weight Loss Pills Advil, Aleve, and Motrin , Sudafed and Delsym,
foods Poppy Seeds Bananas Avocadoes Plums Cantaloupe and honeydew melon Dates Hickory nuts Grapefruit Kiwi Eggplant Tomatoes Pineapples Walnuts Plantain Coca Tea
Mouthwash
CBD Oil Secondhand Marijuana Smoke
I don't even care anymore I fell in love with being a security guard now
And yet our Congressmen, Senators, Governors, Presidents, Judges, Officers of the Court (practicing lawyers)... Law enforcement, ....( folks who rule your life) .... are totally exempt from substance abuse testing or mental health screening..😂😂😂😂
I’m currently in SAP. Minimum 12 week substance abuse program so hurry up
Why do truckers always get fucked with lol it’s crazy not even nasa or anyone else is hounded like us truckers
really? you don't have a problem with people driving under the influence?
@@user-xu5xj3ym4k it goes beyond for testing my guy it’s everything, truckers are always battling new laws and scrutiny. We literally kept everything going while Covid pandemic was going on and ever since then it’s like a backlash against us for no reason every year and now it seems like every couple months. Idgaf about drug testing or any kind of testing but stop coming after us like when is it enough
@@RaidersWay326 you know which side of the political isle is causing almost all of our backlash. and whether they have anything to do with this topic or not doesnt matter, because driving under the influence is something we should all agree deserves zero tolerance. there's a hundred issues you should be fighting and are right im sure, but not this one.
I worked with one Senior Driver who failed a random D.O.T breathalyzer after he got back from his shift. He got fired then got a job Driving for Pepsi 2 weeks later.
10-4 on the pencil pushers. They got to be f%cking with somebody to justify their job. They create no revenue for the company and are pretty much useless. For you new drivers, you'll find them in safety 😂 They'll tell you how to drive a truck and usually have never been in one. FJB + DOT 💩
When are they going to start measuring BMI levels? That is needed.
ALEX ! Thank you for what you doing, BUT WHATS THE NEWS ON SPEED GOVERNMENT?
FYI this was revised in 2019 and fmcsa will send you a letter or email if you have been added or removed from the clearinghouse
Good get them out. They over here and smoking weed. This is a responsibility job you got 80k lbs going down the road.
You covered this before. Not one person should complain when it happens. FMCSA and Clearinghouse is annoying me so much on the rules they are not enforcing on enforcing complete background checks they can't get on people from out of the country and unfair job competition.
its coming up, and so letting people know
Ive been sober for nearly 30 years . No problems here .

It will drive up drivers pay
Your way of thinking is backward and selfish . The fmcsa knows it can get away with stepping on our freedoms because of selfish spineless people like you. Morons like you will sell their asses for an extra buck 😂😂
