Another video you could do, is; Do one where you show how to set endpoints on the NSDRC servo on the 24s, maybe? I need to know how to do that, least with the newer, recent, controller for the 24s. Lol
I know this is an old comment, but just for anyone reading really the performance gains are marginal at best from most motors I’ve seen, some like the injora 66t do give noticeably more speed but most are about the same, and low speed modulation is much more to do with the esc than the motor. The worst part is the turns seem meaningless for this size for some reason, like the injora 50t is much slower than the 66t, when it should be opposite, then most other motors seem about the same rpm as stock. Also longer cans don’t give much more torque compared to going bigger diameter, that’s also why the performance isn’t really affected all that much with the longer 050. Still worth it to get, but I’d just curb expectations, it’s nothing like going from a 380 to a 550 or something like that.
You’re the goat man, great video,I just bought my first rc and I’m doing some modifications as well and the reason why I’m watching this is because I know this will be my next upgrade and the servo
Hey Adam, just real fast. I want to say that i had to replace the motor in my deadbolt and i got the barrage motor. I hated it. The motor shaft was not splined like the stock motor. So, the pinion gear slipped on the motor shaft. Also, had to reverse the wires im the connector. Obviously, i was not happy with the result. But, there is a happy ending. I replaced the barrage motor with a motor from samix same size as the barrage motor. Now my deadbolt is faster, which I didn’t expect but am pleased by. But, it also has more toque. Anyway, it’s something you might feature in a future video. I like what you are doing here. Please keep doing the good work. Ps I commented one other time about getting my deadbolt for the low price of just $16. I have now invested more than $300 upgrading the performance and could not be happier. I still want to get wider axles or extension hexes and better wheels and tires.
Love this video. I like how you showed in depth of the installation process. You should make a video on how and if you have to break in a brushed motor for the scx24?
Dude, thanks. Using your link and code, I ordered the lil 88T 030 for my Bronco! Like FMS which I know you do as well, does the throttle have to be reversed? I don't know why some performance motors come with the polarity reversed. Its irritating. LOL
Wow new to the channel new to crawlers in general and I gotta say this video was extremely helpful in my motor swap. I have 2 scx24s so I’m sure I’ll be back for more info on different procedures. Thank you! Cheers 🤙
This video was awesome dude!!! I just discovered you about a month ago or so. I've had one of these lil trucks for two years and even though i use it quite often its lasted becsuse o only slow crawl with it so the mortor has never burnt out... until finally just recently. And it's just been sitting becsuse i didn't know how to pull it apart to do a moror swap without getting carried away and ending up with a table full of parts that i didn't know how to put back together. But you just explained it so simply and easily that i'm gonna do it right now since i have the day off today. Thank you!!!!!
Thanks Adam. You rock. Put my Injora 050 66t on with my MB100. Couldn't have done it without you. I'm not sure if I like that particular combo. Massive dead spot when you hit an obstacle without momentum and need to get started. Is brushless the answer?
So with the new v3 Spektrum reciever 2in1 Can i add a External ESC 30a to the electronics an keep the Controller ? Also WIll it have the 3 speed Adjustment ? is that like a throttle dial ? You Rock
Love this series, so informative. Any review/suggestions on each of the motors listed here? Still running stock but looking for something that is less jumpy and more capable of "crawling".
I did some upgrades on my deadbolt ...39mm oil filled shocks, aluminum steering linkage, emax servo brass diff covers front and rear , wheel extensions and bigger tires( not huge ones, but they are a tad taller ) the rc on low speed setting struggles unless I put it in Med or high...should I up grade the motor or the ESC?
As a complete novice I've learned a great deal from watching your videos. However is there a sweet spot for the number of turns a motor has for crawling? If so why would a motor with a higher or lower number ever be fitted? Thanks
Great video! How are these motors sound-wise? I hastily bought an injora 66t and it might as well be a nitromethane engine for the shrill racket it makes lol. It made my "quiet crawler" unusable in my house with small children. I'll use your affiliate link if when/if I buy. Thanks!
Lol they’re similar sounding to the injoras. The Mofo RC brushed motors are quiet if that’s what you’re after. The torque beast 050 and 030 are very quiet
It’s significantly more powerful. Certainly noticeable and will stand up to more upgrades down the road like bigger tires, brass weights, etc. in my opinion, it’s worth it to step up to the 050 size because it’s a significantly bigger boost in power
The 88t 030 size will fit a bone stock with no modifications. The larger motors (050 size) will still fit but you might have to trim the battery tray. littleguyracingparts.com/products/lgrp-brushed-motors
My daughter blew her servo and motor on her sx24 will be doing replacement with better parts not factory junk.because my traxxad trx24 is still stock and working great .
A warning if you plan to use a longer motor and a buggy type body. The motor may end up blocking the full travel of the linkage depending on how your ride height is set. My old setup Injora buggy with gladiator high clearance links and ride height as low as possible will run into that problem.
I hit that problem with heating the plastic linkage and when its softened a little, I just push it against the motor, maybe 2mm sheet in between. Pushing so that the shocks are compressing, I mean 😅

Getting some good momentum now. Thank you, I appreciate it!!

I have to check my spur gear, that's a good advise to not tighten the 4mm nut! Thank you Adam for being a such good instructor ! I envy you!😂
I bought my Bronco 6 weeks ago and have replaced almost everything. Your videos and input have been really helpful. Thanks man
Glad they helped! Thanks for watching
What are the differences in between the motors and how do their performances compare to the factory motor?
I know this is an old comment, but just for anyone reading really the performance gains are marginal at best from most motors I’ve seen, some like the injora 66t do give noticeably more speed but most are about the same, and low speed modulation is much more to do with the esc than the motor. I know how to do everything on these little rigs, but it’s always nice to have a guide! You know just in case! Great video Adam! 💪
Its videos like this that really help me as a noob lol, Thank you for this video Adam!
I finally replaced the burnt out stock motor in my Axial C10.... had your video on to help me... Thanks Adam!

@Cape Crawlers OK! Good to know.😁

thank you for the detailed instructions! love your videos
Love ur vids, so in depth, so informational & precautious
Thank you for this video... I have a upgraded motor for my SCX24 C10 coming soon!
BTW, I'm a newbie to this hobby and I've watched a LOT of videos on SCX24's and I gotta say, yours are my favorite! Thanks!
Glad you enjoy them! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@CapeCrawlers I'll be watching YOUR video during the "operation" .... lol
Good video, what chassis your using in this video?
It’s the Nexxracing carbon fiber kit
Hey Adam, what are the slymeballz and what do they do
They are 3D printed tire inserts that offer strong sidewall support but lots of squish and conformity at the top of the tire and the corners.
So with the new v3 Spektrum reciever 2in1 Can i add a External ESC 30a to the electronics an keep the Controller ? Also WIll it have the 3 speed Adjustment ? is that like a throttle dial ? You Rock

Does the 50t motor fit on a stock deadbolt Chassie
A great guide on an upgrade every scx24 owner will need to visit early on if it gets more than light very occasional use...and even then lol
Thanks! Yes, it's a must have or necessity upgrade for sure.
For the beginner series can you do some of them for the TRX4m

I don’t know if I made an error but my stock plate and the Lgrp plate were exactly the same for the predator.
If I put on the small motor that you were showing in the video on the scx24 would it change anything?
It's more torquey and faster than stock. It's a fun little motor
Love seeing all these awesome videos man!! Keep them up!
Will it work fine with the stock esc?
Yes it will
Im trying to put the predator motor on but my cover wont fit ?
what chassis are you running? love your channel keep on rcing! merry christmas!

Great setup bud! 🤙🏻 My new NSDRC micro servo came in today! 💪🏻🔥 Gonna find some time, to install it into my 24 Gladiator! 😎🤟🏻
I love my NSDRC. Such a great servo.

I would recommend trying out the power hobby trails warriors they literally stick to the rocks.
I've got those on the comp rig. They're amazing!
Thank you!
Can injor moter have highr rpm😊😊
Which tires are on that ?
RC4WD mud slingers. I cut the smaller lugs off to give it more space between lugs and a more aggressive pattern
Great video! Would love to see a lgrp ripper chassis in the future it looks way harder than the ultra 24 but looks soo scale!
It's coming! I am having it custom painted right now. It's going to blow your head off. Next level build incoming.
