Fetal alcohol syndrome does not make one a murderer. True. However, it does make one susceptible to having serious issues. We know that the guy who murdered had an upbringing where he was blamed for his disorder and treated with such indignity as a result, eventhough he didn't choose it. We also know that he cut himself. He mistakenly blamed himself and he blamed himself enough to cut himself. He was taught that. I think that blaming others and resorting to killing are a part of the next level from that point. It's not really his fault. He is just a product of his environment.

To the media: Please ask for stories about Helena*. Though nothing will bring Helena* back through those stories we can get to know who Helena* was. Helena* needs to be remembered for the person that she was and not just a victim. Remembering who Helena* was, she can still impact this world in a positive way. Please help keep the memory of Helena* and the other 16 beautiful souls alive!❤🎈🙏

She asks the question, " What kind of people are we?" and the answer is a society that doesn't defend life from the womb to the tomb. Human life is being devalued. Period. If we don't defend the most innocent we won't give justice to the most guilty.

Imagine leaving England to seek a better life for your daughter to have her lose her life in the cruelest of ways at the hands of pure evil.

I hope that these families know, that there are many Americans that are hurting for them today. I too believed that the death penalty would be given. There but for the grace of God, go I.

A semi-automatic is all we have available. Fully automatic has been banned and nobody uses manual firearms.
Also, AR's aren't military weapons, they're sport rifles.
Horrible people is the situation. My heart breaks for the everyone who was shot, who was killed and the 2 that committed suicide afterwards.

God bless you dear lady! I will pray for you and all the families that are dealing with this type of tragedy. How any juror could buy the mitigation factor is beyond comprehension. Shame on you for being so easily duped by the dirt bag attorneys for the defense. I'm sure you would feel differently if this tragedy hit you family.

My thoughts are the same -
"An Automatic penalty by the state or federal government - No trials -The Death Sentence !" is all that's acceptable, especially for school shooters

The juror needs to face severe penalties if proven they withheld information prior to being selected to serve as a juror. The families deserve it after this verdict.
