I saw pictures of Joaquin and he was just as as beautiful as his mother and his sister. Seeing the pain in their eyes, especially the mother's, sends shockwaves through me. I wish from the absolute rock bottom of my heart that they are able to find peace again and I know that is what their son and brother would want. ❤️

So, they held this penalty phase Death Penalty Trial. To determine whether the killer would be given the death penalty, or would be sentenced to life in prison with no parole instead. In Florida, in order for someone to be sentenced to death it has to be a unanimous decision by the jury. Meaning all 12 jurors have to agree to sentence the defendant to death. Why did these families have to sit day after day enduring details from their worst day...only to have a jury return this ridiculous verdict. The very paper the checklists are printed on is a waste at best...checked EVERY SINGLE BOX for Aggravating Factors...sat through.months of the most horrific testimonies I've ever witnessed both by victims families, victims themselves, experts on everything from weapons to psychiatry to forensics to social media data to cell phones from students in the middle of gunfire to NK own cell phone on which.he makes videos about his big plan to kill etc....These parents have shown more strength, character and honor than I've ever seen and its easy to see how their Children were each so full of potential.etc...my heart is just shattered by this injustice. The Prosecuted in this trial was beyond brilliant and.left.no room for doubt about the destruction NK caused. How a jury is allowed to come up with Life over Death in THIS case causes me to question the Death Penalty and whether it should be done away with after this.I never want to know what a person would have to do to be given Death because my God, if NK didn't deserve it, I never want to see the Defendant who would.I am literally appalled..I have 10 Grandchildren and no faith at all that they will ever be safe doing something as.normal as attending school. This verdict gave a free pass to all others to follow NK path...They literally have.nothing to fear do they? I am disgusted to my core.I pray he is thrown into general population and lives in constant agonizing fear until his last breath.may he be hunted, terrorized, tortured and left for dead..and I hope the last images he sees are the faces of his victims! Justice was not served. Although, I have a feeling this monster won’t last long in prison. Someone will take care of it. I can understand that the family members are all VERY disappointed and hurt, but life in prison with no parole (and I don't believe they will ever release someone who killed 17 kids and adults) is not an easy sentence. I might feel differently if it was my sister or niece, but I believe the death penalty should be outlawed in the USA. It is not dispensed fairly and innocent people have been executed. I am a minority in Texas, but I am not alone. Lock the monsters up, and throw away the key. Don't expose society to them. John Wayne gacys last victim was killed on the very day he was supposed to have been paroled in Utah if he had served his full sentence. Need I say more?

This is like the James Holmes case all over again--wherein there was ONE juror hold out.
It's like the law REALLY needs to be changed to a majority of the jurors and NOT unanimous to get a verdict for sentencing.
Trust, the ANIMAL who did this most horrific crime knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He was NOT crazy!
Also, I'll ALWAYS hate that when a person IS crazy , their absolute go to has to ALWAYS be to grab a gun and get their kill on. Like that's the ONLY thing they can do.
